Mental and emotional recovery got me. I wont emotionally recover until I’m holding our baby in my arms. I had a miscarriage at 11 weeks. It was our first pregnancy and I’m heartbroken. I’m 32 and worried it won’t happen for us. I feel old and regret not trying in our 20s. The people who don’t want it have babies but those who want it don’t. People literally smoke and drink while pregnant and they have babies. It’s not fair.

D G I am praying for you sis. I’m not going to act like I can answer why God allowed this so I won’t. I’m just here to comfort you. At 32, you are NOT old. It was a smart decision to wait out those 20s. I don’t know about your but earlier On I wasn’t ready. Better to wait and be a stellar/nurturing parent than to rush. I know you’ll be a great mother because you’ were waiting till the right time to bring a baby into the right atmosphere. Some folks are selfish and will bring a baby that they put on everyone else to care for into ANY situation. You care and that’s a good mother! Say a prayer over your belly, your husband and the new baby that you’ll be holding in your arms. When doubt comes, shift those thoughts n2 the smell of the new baby, that 3rd happy trimester, a
Smooth labor n delivery ect. Take a leap of faith and buy something for this new baby. Like a blanket or a bottle AND you’re prenatal vitamins as a faith move. Affirm daily of how happy you are now that you are holding your healthy full term baby. Praying for you and hope to hear your testimony soon!

i’m also 32 have had a child 9 yrs ago and have been trying for a year really now and october and in december i had my first miscarriages. They were both under 8 weeks but i think due to stress in my life like my environment. right now i’m trying and am currently 4 days late for period . Going in monday for a blood test because I had two negative home tests walgreens test on my 3rd day late period .
I wish you the very best of luck , don’t give up keep trying ; it’s stressful i’m learning to not stress because it may be causing issues . after having miscarriages it’s very very hard not to be paranoid when in the bathroom seeing anything red . it’s very stressful keep positive mind

Last week I miscarried my 8th child at 9wks and 6days. There are just some clubs moms NEVER wanna be involved in & although I have 7 beautiful healthy kids , for my family this loss is just incalculable.
In spite of my grief tho, I am looking forward to trying again. Even though I am 42. I got unexpectedly pregnant at 42 so why not? This video helped in more ways than one. Thank you.
I pray for all the mamas who know this pain. May our futures be blessed and bright.❀

I actually started watching your channel to learn more about IVF and saw this video and decided to watch as I have had 3 miscarriages. My first miscarriage was in Oct 2021 then got pregnant in Jan 2022 and had a baby girl. We started trying again and got pregnant in April 2023 and again in May 2023 which unfortunately both ended in miscarriages. With getting this news 3 different times I feel like some providers have said it so much they have lost the concern when they say it. But listen to your video I could feel that you truly are sorry for our losses. I plan on getting your book you mentioned. We are currently waiting on the genetic testing results to come back but I was thinking about perusing IVF to hopefully prevent another miscarriage.

    Hi Dr. Shahine,
    I am hoping for clarity.
At 8:32ish in your vid, you say "if you're not getting a period and it's been 6-8 weeks after your miscarriage..." do you mean after the miscarriage or after the pregnancy has been resolved? Everything I've read or heard has timeframe said in this way either to ovulation or period, but I'm not clear what event I'm counting from.
I feel like my miscarriage (8w4d, missed, medically induced) is hard to count from, since it was a few days before it was found and then took a while for everything to completely pass. But I know, say, when my hCG level went below 5. So would I count from (approximately) the date of the estimated fetal death, the date I took the medications, the date hCG was below 5, or something else?

    Dear Dr. Shahine.
Thank you so much for this video. 💔 in fact for all of them. ❀
Can you please make a video or post on if there is a missed miscarriage when and why do the body decides to let the embryo go?
When you don’t go to have a D&C and wait it out, why do the body decides to start the actual miscarriage when it starts? Would it depend on HCG and progesterone levels dropping to a certain point?
Than if it’s not a missed miscarriage just a spontaneous one why does the body lets the baby go with still high HCG and progesterone numbers? I would like to understand the biology or chemistry of this.
I am now third week waiting for it to start. Heartbeat has stopped at 9weeks. This is my second missed miscarriage
. đŸ„ș

I’ve never been pregnant or had a miscarriage and I’m not pregnant now(don’t even have a partner yet and I’m about to turn 25), but I’ve been preparing for whenever it happens(that’s just been my thing, ever since I was a teenager, I’ve been like "I want to prepare for everything motherhood brings, both the good and the bad, I want to prepare for loss, I want to prepare for multiples, just everything") and I feel like I would be quick to emotionally recover from a pregnancy loss cause I’ve had significant emotions before, albeit not from a loss, and I’ve quickly recovered from those. But I also don’t feel like trying right away would be right for me. I feel like I’d want to make sure I’ve went through 1 full menstrual cycle first, so basically whenever my post-miscarriage period comes, I start tracking in case my cycle changes after miscarriage and when I have my second period after miscarriage, that’s when I’d want to start to try again. That way, I know for sure that my uterus has healed up and is ready. And it would also give me more time to emotionally heal if I need to.

Within 60 days anyone can get pregnant, feeling the changes in your body the first few weeks. After go’ogling her I understood it's not a miracle kind of thing like the title suggests, but you can bet you'll boost your chances.

I read somewhere that you need to wait 3 months before trying again because there's a higher risk of miscarriage. I had miscarriage at 6 weeks, it was fully controlledbby the doctors, I took blood tests every few days to make sure everything was okay, and I prayed not to get a D&C because I read about the consequences and I didn't want to go through these. Fortunately, everything went well, I finally got my less than 5 hcg test result, then after a couple of weeks I got my period. And then I met my husband, he's in the military, so we have a long distance relationship. We had intercourse after my period, presumably somewhere around my ovulation and we tried to be careful but we were not. I got scared because I immediately thought, if I get pregnant now, there's a higher risk of having miscarriage again but I so don't want to take Plan B pills. So I googled the info and it turns out some doctors even recommend not to wait too long! Glad I found this video. Definitely a relaxed sigh from me ❀

I do not. I am so sorry if you experienced this. A wonderful book on recovery from a second trimester loss is Beyond Grief by Pippa Vosper. Thank you for watching!

@jessicabee4032 hey Jessica! I am doing so much better. I came to peace with her loss about 2 months postpartum and started trying again when I felt mentally ready at 3 months postpartum. I am currently 30 weeks with a healthy baby boy. I wish you nothing but the best and praying for you during this time.

@jessicabee4032 You're so welcome! I've been there so I know exactly what you're feeling. At that time I wish i knew what I knew now. You will get through this! The only thing I did differently was change prenatal, and I started taking low dose asprin at 10 weeks. I am taking Thorne basic prenatal and Thorne dha. I've always drank alot of water but currently I consume approx 80oz of water daily. I truly wish you the absolute best! If you have anymore questions I'm happy to help

This is a great question. I would advise you to consult your medical provider, as I can't give medical advice to personal situations on social media. I have a lot of content on the subject on this channel, website drlorashahine.com, CZcams and Instagram account @drlorashahine that are great sources for you
