Thanks, was torn between getting these or the LCD-5 👍
bruh
nice
Torn between you say😂
Man is listening sine wave at that level of volume and unfazed, mad respect
Yes I find a good sine wave in the morning goes well with a good coffee...
The appeal is that they do nothing wrong at the right price. In other words, no nasty peaks, decent sound, lifetime warranty, cheap to replace pads, cheap to replace cable if you can solder (or use that warranty). There are 10x pricier models that are unlistenable for the nasty peaks they have (cough cough beyer cough cough!)
If an hair sticks in the driver and starts buzzing on bass you just pull off the pad, blow a bit, check the pad for a piercing through hair, and you're done (try that with a Beyer).
They allow you to listen for the doorbell, a car if you're jogging, and are not an ear sauna during summer. I use them for casual listening everyday and If I'm doing chores around the house.
The driver is titanium sputtered, the Porta Pro is the same driver but totally transparent: more distortion and more rolled off HF.
The KSC75 can be mounted on the Porta Pro head band, for some is better, for some others not since it pulls hairs.
When I had the HD600/650/6XX I used the KSC75 for casual listening to not wear off the pads of the senns, since they are 50 bucks a pair, age quickly and change the sound for the worse. That's one of the reason I sold all of them.
They definitely have a purpose. The real problem for me is that if you use only these for a lot of time (stuck with only these on vacation), every day, for many days, and even for meaningful music that fuels your day, well... They kinda suck out the life out of you. They make your favorite music sound lifeless and low res, grey, like eating at fast food: convenient, practical, but it gets dull over time. You wonder what happened to your life, then you switch back to the big boys and aaahhhh!!! now I remember how exiting and beautiful life is! Once used to fine wine you can't go back to wine in a box.
You compared a $20 headphone to a $5000 headphone ?
Are they digital compatible?
thoughts on the SIMGOT SuperMix 4 they graph close to Harmon
The infamous "Etika headphones", RIP.
This was literally posted on what would be his 34th birthday too lmao
Have u tried Kiwi Ears Orchestra Lite? Would like to know your thoughts! I really trust your opinion and just bought the Nova.
haven't
Best budget iem under 20$? Or do i just blow the money on food ? Chu 2 on the way ordered it cuz everything else in terms of build quality sucks ass. I'm just auto eq it to the nova and chill. Might cancel that depends on you
Can you review the new elysian pilgrim?
I do wonder how much of the sound can be improved by providing a better seal and eq.
You're supposed to bend the ear clips so they seal to your ear, but yea I agree they don't sound the best. they're excellent for active use though they don't give you a thump in your ear when you walk, and they're lightweight.
I only use mine for walks or I need open ears when listening because that's their bread and butter.
they suck
@@Sharur1 They're better when walking and want low volume music
idk what to tell ya
Are there any other with the same form factor but actually descent?
Don't listen to this troll lol, these are actually very good. I've had 3 or 4 pairs of these and they sound amazing for $20.
no this form factor is inherently flawed
@@Sharur1 they aren't the best headphones of course, but for $20 they smash all of the other competitors in value. Literally just those and an apple dac is an insane value setup.
@@masterashe5526No. There are many 20 dollar iems that are much better than this
@@Sharur1 which ones
this was basically the pinnacle of portable audio on a consumer level for a long time. its only pretty recently that we got stuff that even came close to sounding as good as it does. i think these get hype for similar reasons to vinyl. youre not necessarily listening to them for high fidelity, youre listening to them for the charm and time capsule type of experience that doesnt really exist in other ways. people had preferences back then too but it was basically just a different koss model (porta pro, kph40, etc) but yaxi pads seem to be the way to go for an upgraded sound
Are they better than Ananda Nano?
no
If you want massive bass you should try the skullcandy crusher anc 2.
You are very good with EQ and therefore you could get your favorite curve with the added vibrations that you can't get with any other headphones.
can you recommend a better $20 headphone ?
Don't get a $20 headphone and buy $20 IEMs
@@iopqu Don't buy sneakers and buy brougues .. IEMs tend to block - isolate external sound completely .. open headphones allow you to hear things happening around you ? Thank You though ..
Chu or chu 2
Overall is it good even though the bass is low?
No
yes
They suck in a special way, I love em
What watch is that?
grand seiko sbgx353g
But you have to do some equalizations! Show us your suggestions! And then the new video: Koss KC75 - the best earphone in the world?
you can't increase bass
please test the sony mdr 7506 next
They have a great tight bass wich I love for techno, I hate when the bass is boosted, with mdr 7506 at least the old models the bass was so nicely done
@@Leafz34 I see thanks for the review
I'd love to see a review on the Aune Ar5000
Yes..
Eq them to harman and they will beat the HE-1 fr 🔥
replaced the pads for the the yaxi pads and removed the drivers from it for the ksc75 and it definitely sounds better than using the hooks, def not amazing but the comfort and sound def gets improved
Damn bro ... i just bought a ksc75 and kph30i because i couldnt decide which to buy :). I still havent received them, i hope that you just got a bad one. The problem is i trust you more than any other guy out there for this stuff ... If its sht, what i should get for under 100$?
But really they hype for this this ksc75 is craaaaazy ... I hope they are good ;)
it sucks
@@Sharur1 any good alternative for under 100$?
@@gorg45pro35 bucks kz Pr2 as long as you have a lot of power available
@@gorg45pro Are they good?
I just like the comfortability of them, they also won’t give you headphones dent.
the Koss KSC75 is the best audio device I've ever heard
yeah not surprised that you dont like them lol
yup
Koss 4 lyfe
Why did you sdd some random bodybuilder for pfp lol
good thumbnail
yes
You should try to put it back in the BUBBLE GUM machine you got it from or GIVEAWAY
U should try the 60s'-90s songs on it they are better on old songs
No
they are not
i remember in 2017 when these were considered budget hd600, a good alternative to ear pods, but now they just aren't worth it, even for 20 bucks.
The moment i put them on i decided to sell my hifimans. They are bright and have no bass but they let you experience what people mean by detail when compared against other cheap HP.
To me they are smoother and better tuned than Edition XS that cost about 350 dollars more.
And the build quality is probably better than Hifiman xD
I think these work good for indie or acoustic music. Kph40 has the missing bass and better drivers overall.
no
Are there any headphones you like?
audeze lcd-5
@@Sharur1 And its only a measly $4000 more!
Koss mafia OBLITERATED by a single review.🐐
Maybe Sennheiser HD25 or HD250BT is a little better.
those are like 150 200 $ not 20
@@SileDevil true, but it's on-ear.
I agree they sound terrible stock. Try my Peace EQ for them, I got them to sound really good. With bass eq these can punch really well without distorting. You claim that FR is all that counts in a headphone, it being minimum phase, right, so please don't give up on them just yet:
Preamp gain -10db
PK 50hz +5db q1.41
LSQ0.71 100hz +5db
PK 500hz +4db q1.0
PK 2500hz -4db q1.41
PK 5000hz -1db q2.0
PK 8000hz -3db q2.0
HSQ0.71 5000hz -4.5db
PK 12800hz -2db q2.0
there is no way these can handle a bass boost
@@Sharur1 you don't know what you're missing, mine go clean down to 30hz without distorting at listening volume, I have run sine sweeps
I can feel the slam when I play bass music and put my palm against the driver, these can handle a lot of excursion, don't underestimate them! And it's good quality 0 distortion. And yeh I've heard lcd5 I'm not some noob
Just bought them a week ago and my first impressions were the same: what the fuck is this treble and no sub-bass, didn't want to use them any more but I needed to stop using In-ears for a bit because of an ear infection. Now I've become used to the sound and don't find it annoying anymore and they are actually listenable. And the comfort is the best thing they have going on - comfiest headphone I've used so far.
u aren't listening properly
sharur lost rng of koss, side note just clip those on another headband like the kph40 or portapro and do another review
After some burn in they get better, at least with porta pro
They lack a little on detail but for prog rock, classical, jazz, or anything acoustic they reproduce a level of performance incredible with that instruments, at least with porta pro
If you like electro (wich I love too) I would suggest in ear instead of headphones
Those things are different then Porta pro, Kph40 is the best Koss headphone, after burn in they are pretty decent
Take that dark viper
These need the headband mod and yaxi pads, otherwise you get no bass. Kph40 is way better than these.
harsh sounding headphones riding on hype
problem with your appoach is that you only focus o fr graph exclusively, very elitist approach without taking into account budget. Why dont you make a rank list with the best in 20, 50, 100, 200 $ price category ?
no
Kph40 is way better, replaceable cable, there is bass if you put a decent pad on, it's nice for casual listening, but more expensive, those things you are reviewing are not listenable . I will stick with my pr2's at 4vrms.
There's no *TURBO BASS* in these.
true
these keep getting freaking shilled by forum audiophiles like bro, they call them audiophiles but they seem to prefer ruining the music i want to listen to
What a song full of details.
That's how you know what a bad reviewer is.
cope
With EQ, this $20 product will easily surpass even headphones that are worth ¥3,903.93. Put two of these bad boys on a glass of water and witness the sight of liquids shoot up to the ceiling!
But yeah, other than that, worst headphones ever.
it's for answering calls while walking outside.. but it's fugly 💀
at least it's great for gaming
it's not
@@Sharur1 game != music
Lol really
dt770 and grado next
don't buy these based on quality. it will break after 1 year and you have to buy them again. Same on any koss they just break that's why its budget friendly.
Bassless headphones is useless, I speak as the owner of the shp9500.
these are better than mondrop vartatiatsions dont listen to this troll 🤮🤮
no they are not
@@Sharur1 you have a lot to learn son if you ever want to be worthy enough for call yourself audpepidophile 😂😂😂
They need a 2000h „burn in” give them a time.
Jesus Christ, the burn in cope
