Jimny is one of the coolest new cars of the last decade. Just awesome.
thanks suzuki for keep the solid axle, ladder frame and low gear. I have a 2012 jimny and is amazing and i was afraid if the new jimny get soft but not!
I had a Jimny for eight years. It never let me down apart from the seals on the front axle ball swivels wearing but that's inevitable. It never even needed a bulb replacement! Dirt, mud, snow, ice. It can handle it all. These punch way, way above their weight offroad.
im surprised that Fifth Gear still exist 😅😂
ADVERTS
What a fantastic little car the Jimny is. It looks spectacular and it is a very capable offroader for the price of a boring hatchback.
Suzuki has always been the King of cheap, incredibly capable and good looking Offroaders.

Yep ...I'd like to see one with Michelin Latitude Cross tyres on .....reckon that it would be even more fantastic
I wonder the new Defender can match the old Defender longevity and legendary status
Muhammad Syauqi Mohamad Saharif
Simple no it can’t
Sore one near wear I work getting towed out of a field doing a photo shoot
@@sydneywicks3747 eh, really? I thought all Land Rover can do cross country with ease
I had a 90" TD5 for several years, bought it second hand, was in good condition and the previous owner serviced it at the recommended intervals and didn't abuse it, never let me down, sold it as l needed something different. A few years later and l needed a 4x4 so looked at some 90" TD5s, couldn't find what l wanted so ended up buying a new Jimny, not as much room as my 90" TD5, but it is a bit quieter inside and does use less fuel, it isn't as heavy duty as the Land Rover but more than capable for what l need.
I'm in the USA and I so want a Jimny :(
Jeff K perfect coastal car or second car
I agree it would sell like hot cakes because the Jeep is kind of expensive and the jimmy is cheap and can go off-roading for cheaper
If Jimmy had a land cruiser he would still be driving the first one he would have bought
So, did the landRover break down during the test or after?
If you've never been in a defender....lucky you! They are far far worse than you imagine. They really should never leave the farmyard tbh
I use it as a daily, its just too much fun!

Would people please stop repeating this slogan?!
Whenever there’s any kind of comparison involving a LR, someone comes up with some variation of this and had done so for at least 20 years!
I think both of these cars are perfect on Nantucket, an island I visit off of Massachusetts, USA. Cool factor, usability, and capability are all there, and when you’re on a 12 mile wide island, many of these issues become irrelevant.
And of course NAS defenders are $75k and Jimny’s will never exist here.
And are you saying that is a 2011 or 2012 defender? They sold that in 2012?
Weird coming back to this show when Tiff isn’t around
I like the Landrover Defender more. Thats why this model is in my car collection. (The 110 Defender)
Come on I'm getting blueballs here. Where the off road test?!!
I realise it’s fun to identify the sources of some components, and because of its age some of those are long obsolete, but does it really matter? Those components have been proven over many years, and the Japanese are masters at using carryover components because of this. And those legroom and brake faults in the Defender? Fixed for £300. Come on Jimmy, sort it! And show that nasty little Suzy tin can some class.
why in other videos your jimny is a manual one?
That #CarPervert at it again!
p.s. Where is the rest of the video?
I got my TD5 defender 130 crewcab to 100mph
I love jimny from india ♥️
4000 rpm seems high for 60 mph. My Jimny (black auto) is only slightly over 3000 rpm at 60 mph.
My 2013 Jimny is 2000 rpms at 60kmph.
Toomuchdebt MILES per hour!!!
#BringTiffBack
G class and defender are a mall crawler now. Sadly, the only one that still staying on it's root in this class is jeep wrangler...
Ahh, the REAL defender :D
Suzuki Jimny won’t break like Land Rover
14.5 seconds to 60? And 81mph? I don’t think so...
Bring back tiff
Not quite sure of the logic in comparing a 70 year old design with a new car?
"4x4 king"
not a land cruiser
bruh
Not so much test
28 mpg!? That’s bad?
Its English ones, most 2012ers like a vw golf is supposed to do 50-60
Well that was sh1t.
The Icon, is an unreliable, expensive pos particularly in Australia... if you bought a Jimny in Australia you are insane... if you bought a "Icon" in Australia you get what you deserve... rubbish..... rubbish service, rubbish car, rubbish Dealers.... Suzuki is not any better.... low volume sales see to that.... leave both alone is my advice... buy ANYTHING ELSE
You'd have to be insane to live in Australia.
Armed Forces and Farmers worldwide use the Land rover the same cant be said the the overpriced rust bucket which is the Suzuki

Want a good little offroad? Buy a Dacia Duster.
