This is exactly how everyone should make demos.
A demo of the sound of the cymbals, a demo of the cymbals in a groove, then within the context of the song.
Thanks so much!
Thank you for not playing a closed hi hat for 6 minutes as "the demo". I actually can tell what the fuck it sounds like. Which is awesome
Bought these a couple of months ago, and they’re an amazing set. The only thing I’ll say is that pairing a ching ring with the hi-hats makes for an amazing addition to their overall sound
Wow, you're great man! Good sound and video, love the way of your review, and love Meinl. Thanks a lot. Greetings from Brazil. 🎼❤
This is the video I've been looking for all week! Thank you!
Glad to help!
Thanks for the great demo. I’m planning on buying those same cymbals soon😀
Perfect demo. Great job! I have been playing these for a little over a year. 18", 19", and 20" crashes. They sound so good, seems like they are Eq'd to mute the ear ringing factor. They record beautifully as well. I also play with Ahead drumsticks and even though I play hard I haven't dented any of the edges. So for you Ahead guys these seem like they were made to take that kind of dense attack with no prob.
Thanks, I needed to hear this in order to make the decision. Also your freestyle playing was very impressive. Nicely done !
Thank you
Really great demo and I loved the song too. Thanks
Thank you!
Diggin how these sound. Great demo! Been looking for a set of cymbals to go with my sjc busker when I get it. These might be it!
Great Demo!
I have nothing but great praise for Meinl cymbals, they sound great. I have hi hat, 20 inch ride and 12 inch China. Those are excellent for your playing, nice color and they cut through.
They are really just killing it these days. I have a Meinl bell and some trash hats too, but no room for them in my drum room, haha. Well maybe I can do the bell.
Glad to see I’m not the only one stuck in a broom closet. Lol. Nice video. I’m grabbing these cymbals today. They sound great.
Nice groove!!
Finally, a 'real world' demo!
That 18 also makes a good ride, their bells sound really nice
Awesome drumming, greetings from Bavaria, Germany
Thank you Max :)
Love the toms
Bad ass man I love your style
Definitely got yourself a new subscriber and a new fan
Thank you!
Although I mostly prefer a 22 for a ride, I really like how these sound! Best thing about them are the crashes. Where the NuVaders were bright these are kinda dark. I almost feel sad becouse I can't play acoustic anymore lol.
Awesome video. My band is about to record in two weeks. My drummer just bought that same set of hats and that same ride. Last night I ordered the 16” and the 18” crashes. They should be here next week. I’m surprising him with them. They should be here next week. Thanks for the video. 🤘🏽💀🤘🏽
Wow, such a nice bandmate!
Great demo!! Ciao dall'Italia
Thank you!
According to Meinl, these cymbals are actually B12 bronze. Nice demo!
What a tasty and mindful grooves
thank you!
Thanks for great demo!
I really can't wait for mine to arrive. I ordered 15" hats, 18" and 19" crashes, 22" ride and 18" china. The bigger sizes seem to sound a bit better for me, but that's a matter of taste I guess.
Sounds like a great setup! I'm sure they'll sound awesome.
Yeah not just for you. The bigger sizes open up better. I got the 15" and 14" hats, 18" Trash Crash, 18" Trash China, 19" Crash, 20" crash, 22" Ride.
Hey I prefere 18" crashes as well. I like to play metal and rock. I am about to order a 20" and an 18" crash and wanted to see what your opinion was. ? Thanks
@@foamrob6577 Imho those specific crashes sound the best from 18” and up, but after few months of playing them and one recording session I think buying 19” and 20” crash would be a better idea.
19” sound much less pingy than 18”. It has more warmth and a nicer wash in my opinion.
@@757foks ok great. I really appreciate your advice and reply.
I bought an 18" dark crash today as a gift for my 12 year old son who is just getting started. He's about 6 months in and sounding really good. He just discovered the Beatles so he's learning
Sweetwater finally got them in. Not only am I waiting on the custom darks but I got the 8 piece Pearl Export. Finally an end to a long month of checking the app everyday hoping it was all available.
Man that’s gonna be an awesome setup. Those new exports are so killer
I also ordered an 8 piece export. Got the expanded dark cymbal set and the entire thing is just monstrous in sound and aesthetics.
🤘 dude I really like your song that was rad 🤘
Thank you!
I'm looking for a reliable upgrade for my paiste 101's which I've been using since I've started drumming 12yrs ago... tried splashes and crashes but they started breaking really easily, are these worth it for my case? heavy metal/hard rock drumming
I think these are incredible hard rock/metal cymbals. They all sound amazing and record really well.
From what I've read when you play lightly/quietly they sound brighter and jazzier, is that correct?
I wouldn't say they sound brighter when played lightly, but you could use them in jazz for sure. Maybe better for fusion than bebop, because they are kinda heavy, but they're pretty versatile.
I like song. Reminds me of the band Hum
I have the 19 inch crash and want to add another crash. Think it's gonna be the twenty inch. The larger sizes sound so good in this series
seems like larger crashes always sound better, haha. I'm using a 19" and 20" these days
Alright, I'm grabbing a set to go with my Tama Star walnut kit! DS, you rip \m/
they're actually worth the buyyy
100%
I’m in love with how they sound but I just don’t like the look of the cymbal, does zildijan make a standard bronze set?
Personally if I were going to get a Zilidjian pack, I'd go with the classics, the A line amzn.to/3hnwQ9T. They sound great to me.
I like real deep warm crash sound. I like to play metal and hard rock so I am gonna order a 18 and a 20 inch dark crash I hate a splash sound, I like sustainability. Do you think these will be good for what I am looking for?
That's why I recorded them, so you can hear them and see if you like them or not :)
@@demonicsweaters I know. Duhhhhh...it seems like a dumb question 😆
You're really great about responding. Hopefully can help me out. I love my e kit but I think it's time for an acoustic kit. I'm going to get a pearl double bass Export. I can't decide Byzance or the custom darks? I'm so indecisive lol
Both sound really nice, darks will save you a few bucks, but Byzance have a huge variety to choose from.
@@demonicsweaters I really like the darks and especially the way they look. I just didn't want to go yeah, I got em because they look awesome lol I guess I'm going to go dark then down the road experiment with the byzance line. Thank man, I really appreciate your input. I'm still a percussion newbie so I don't want to waste time and money.
They do look really awesome, and the sound is great too!
@@demonicsweaters I'm looking into getting a jet black Pearl Export with two kick drums. I thought they would look awesome with the red Evans heads and the custom darks.
@@insertmetalusernamehere hell yeah it would! Those Exports sound sick too! Love the Mahogany/Poplar mix shells!
i really want to buy these cymbals but im a bit worried about what style they suit , i like to play rock but also blues and practice in a small space , do you think they would be ok for some gentle blues beats as well as rock...ps i dont play metal !
Yeah, i think so. They're really versatile. Maybe not for super light jazz, but just about anything else they should work
What kind of drum is that on the upper left on the arm?
It’s a pdp mini timbale
What’s the Tom called that’s mounted above the hi hat
It’s a PDP mini timbale!
i have a set. i like them more than my a customs. but not my k customs or my hhx set. in fact theyre my go to live set
Im stuck with these, and the Paiste Rude Cymbals. I'm a new metal drummer, and I need something loud & agressive.
Rudes are still louder, but these sound more modern.
@@demonicsweaters Thanks
Nice drumming. Cymbals sound good. I prefer saluda cymbals.
They don't seem that loud to me like Zildjian a customs or meinl mb10 or mb20
they're loud af. The only one I felt could have been a little better was the ride. The bell kind of lacked.
What kit is that??
This was a Tama Imperialstar Bop kit
i’m stuck between these and zildjian s mastersound
These sound way better than the S series in my opinion. The S line sounds like budget cymbals, the ccd sound like a pro line
@@demonicsweaters i have the s medium crash and trash crash both 16s and they sound pretty good, probably gonna go with the hi hat and the china and get a nice k custom ride
