"Dad, you're getting pale.." Grayce looking out for Paul AND giving him a little sarcasm. Gotta love the family dynamics
Yes you can file a Workmen's comp claim if you are listed as insured on the policy.
then she laughs
someone is going to comment in Paul not wearing gloves. I hate those thing can't work with them.
Use super glue to stick the finger together.
😅
@@robmcowen6113 Yup, pinch it, add glue. Do not be like me though, too much glue once and glued my thumb to the cut, not good, pulling my thumb off a nice deep flesh wound was, can we say, fun times.
So Gracie wants to look at the cut finger and Hunter is trying not to lose his lunch 😂
Hence the nickname Huntress lol
Eual gibbons died from eating pine nuts,he choked to death.just dated myself.😂
Many parts are edible.
Euell. @@richardingram9172
My inner Karen says: Gibbons died on December 29, 1975, aged 64, at Sunbury Community Hospital in Sunbury, Pennsylvania,[7] of a ruptured aortic aneurysm, a common complication from Marfan syndrome.[8]@@richardingram9172
Every time Hunter doubts Paul, Paul executes the gameplan perfectly 😂 those lawn mowers couldn't have come out better lol
Retired fireman and ex framer in my 20s. I’m a firm believer electrical tape has undiscovered magical healing properties. Just wrap it up and forget about it for a week or so and bam, just like that, it’s sorta all better. Little crazy glue added in doesn’t hurt either.
I’ve never put stitches in my hands despite seeing tendons and other trauma. Of course I have some ugly scars but that only adds to your toughness 😂
When those lawnmowers landed side by side, right side up, I actually threw my arms up and exclaimed "Yes", as if to take credit for the awesomeness myself. 😂😂😂😂😂 Love me some Fab Rats!
23:10 That smile on his face listening to the exhaust for the first time… I remember those days 👍🏻👍🏻
I’m glad it was just your finger. I was cutting firewood and had a heart attack. A neighbor was driving by and saw me fall and when he got to me, my chainsaw was still running, about three inches from my shoulder. They got me to the hospital, put in four stints and a week and half later I finished cutting the wood.
Lol paul asking the app how much blood he can lose was hilarious 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
13:59 From an old glass man, every glass man’s tool box includes super glue just for times like these
Paul is the Mary Lou Retton of lawnmower gymnastics. Stuck the landing!
One thing that I really enjoy seeing between Fab Rats and Matt's off-road recovery is how both of you are excelling and building shops and improving on your businesses!! So Cool!!
He needs a proper rear bumper with built in hitch and a set of recovery ropes. Boys will be boys. God Bless 😊
I sliced my thumb and index finger open to the bone once when I was a teenager sharpening a chainsaw. Neosporin, gause, and black tape saved the day. Now I wear gloves while sharpening. That was close to 40 years ago. Great video you guys.
Gause and black tape make the best band-aid out there.
They don’t make us like they used to 😂😂👍👍
Paul is a slow learner.
Electrical tape is a miracle worker 😜...
Good tip. I'm sharpening my chainsaw today!
@@grimsoul0 Who has gauze? gas station napkin from the truck console and the electricans band aid
Love how Michelle laugh at Paul when looking for HR
The Grin on Jace's face when he comes round the back to listen is priceless.
I keep super glue for those bloody situations. Glued the whole tip of my finger back on once. Kept it wrapped up and everything healed up just great.
Yes , Super Glue that shut and it will be fine !!
I worked with a guy that was a medic in Vietnam, he used superglue and butterfly bandages to close cut all the time.
Shout out to Max! Everyone needs a neighbor like that👍🏻
Paul, for future information if you should ever need to close a wound use "supoer glue" it was created as a battlefield dressing. Works great and I have used it my ownself.
New Skin is also great. Wash it, Peroxide and tight bandaid or bandage.
yep I have used it as well and worked really well although it did burn . I didnt know it was created as a battlefield dressing, Thanks for sharing that cool little bit of info with everyone!.
@@AsTheWheelsTurn You are quite welcome.
He said “get the super glue.”
It's better to leave it open and aerated, but then it's tricky to keep it clean and avoid further damage..
I tried to catch a 55 gallon oil drum that fell over and got one finger almost cut off against a door frame and the skin on the inside of my finger tore apart 5mm all the way to the bone half across the tip of the finger. After the bleeding slowed down I just kept it out in the open and it sure did gross people out and leave a nasty scar but it healed much faster than expected and I avoided stitches which would have been a nightmare on the fingertip..
As soon as I heard sleep deprivation and chainsaw I said to myself “not good, not good!”
With the number of stitches I've taken in various fingers, that had me clenching my fists against my chest in sympathetic pain! Hope you're ok. God bless!
I feel you...yeeeouch
I'd rather get an eye sewed up.. fingers are the worst! ouch!!
Bad Paul! I don't think anyone asked if they wanted a piece of you, also the paperwork from HR was denied 😁 Glad to see Hunter could find you by following the blood trail, great tracking skills! Please stay safe and thanks as always for sharing.
Take care of that finger Paul it looked pretty gnarly. You’re cool, calm, laid-back demeanor with your finger sliced open. It is truly amazing. Such a cool guy and family. Y’all take care love the channel.
I’m glad to see that Michelle is in the shop more. She totally makes the the Chanel complete. Very awesome.
Paul has given lots of advantages for installing the concrete apron in front of the shop. We all know the main one is to have a proper burn-out pad to launch newly built cars before they hit the driveway!
The pause from Hunter as the load of lawnmowers comes out of the trailer just like Paul said had me laughing
The best part about CZcams is that people doing what they love to do can make a living doing what they love to do.
This is friggin awesome!
Love watching you guys. It inspires me to get in the garage and make something better!
I love the progress on Jace's truck. I hope Paul got his finger taken care of correctly his safety and health is important since he is an important part of this channel
I love seeing "If it works is it really a dumb idea" irl. well done unloading 😆
The more I watch over these couple of years of the Cox family aka Fab Rats I feel that this is a close net family that enjoys life and it shows on your videos this pertains as well as your brother upnorth that left he has the same values keep it up !
Silver nitrate sticks, you should get some to have on hand. They can close a bleeder like that no problem.
Injuries can be a bit tricky sometimes. While ''chicks dig scars" wives don't!
My wife hated it when I'd get cut or burned and I never said anything about it. She would notice the bandage or blood later on. I'd tell her if there is no bone showing it will heal up. I'm made of scar tissue now and I miss her every day. Love the builds and repairs !
when i went in to logging they said never go home crying about your close calls, if you get cut get it wrapped and get back at it and do what you can
Paul you have got to be the best natured guy ever. Really cool. Thanks for another great video.
I love Gracie's reaction to Paul cutting his finger!
Thank you. Excellent video and entertainment. Well finger injury, never notice bumps or moving finger before injury, sure notice stuff after the fact . Your boy is going to like that truck .
I loved Gracie having fun with Paul’s pain! Also had to laugh, my dad was a contractor and he would always promise clients two things about concrete. It will get hard, and crack
Let’s be careful out there, if you don’t respect yourself and be careful with yourself, you will regret it when you’re older, there is no going back from stupid mistakes. I know this firsthand. Good video. Thanks for sharing your family with us. Play through.
I guess this means Paul is now the assistant supervisor and Jace & Landon are number one and two in the shop.
9:48 "I think he's going to go down..." OMG, hilarious! 🤣🤣🤣
Love the smile on Jace's face when she fired up! Blood scene and spitting food in your hand was nice too
Sorry about your finger...
But it's so cool... to see all the Family hanging out together and helping one another out...
I hope your finger heals fast Paul. Get some rest buddy. Love yall
Awesome family and friends! Great show with cool build s!
Paul is working his bum off even after getting cut and everybody else is in the shop chillin. 😂
Y'all crack me up. You are a awsome family😅.
Thanks for the smiles an yes file that workman's comp claim!!!😊
Its great to see those young men growing up and gaining knowledge in the shop with their Dad.
Jace's Dakota is ready to drive; then as usual, Paul goes on to list the dozens of things to do first, Always the optimist, Paul😆
Working like hell and smiling the whole time. Good on ya Cox!!!
I hear you on blade sharpening, I too have a scar too remember. The concrete turned out nice. Have a good week and count your blessings amen.
You guys could consider planting new trees for the future of shading your shop and parking areas in the summer months now that you have your buildings and storage areas mapped out. The best day to plant a tree was yesterday!
Don't want trees over parking. Leaved and sap cause yuck. Just pointing out best trees is a short fruit tree.
The best time to plant a tree is 20 years ago.
The second best time to plant a tree is now.
It was great to see Jace's smile when he heard that exhaust. 👍
Hope your finger is healing! There's nothing like multitasking all over the place. Great video!
Thanks for sharing! 😊
You guys stirred some memories in this old baby boomer....haven't seen a shackled up rear end in too many years to count! Nice work Jace...enjoy your new ride!
That Dakota sounds wonderful. Nice to see the Fab Rats family together!
Paul - "Did that sackle you?" Never heard the word before but I like it😂
While listening to the exhaust, yeah, the young man’s smile says it all.
The cement pads are looking nice. Finishes up the outside of the shop. Hope your finger heals up Paul. The smile on Jace’s face was priceless when his truck fired up. Great video🤙😎
Paul, I can't say that you're an accident, waiting to happen, but you are the man with the plan who's so much hands-on in everything done in and around the shop, Accidents are bound to happen! This is why they make gloves, and goggles, etc. To keep from getting hurt! I hate to see you bleeding. You take it on the chin very well. Cool family video this week, seeing the kids and working on the truck, getting things done in and out of the shop makes for great content! This is why I look forward to your videos each time you post them! Til next time, see you then. 😊
Love your Channel Paul, Michelle and FR crew !!! The Dakota sounds mean 💛
been watching for a long time it's so awesome seeing you guys grow and get new buildings and just keep getting bigger. Hunter jayce and michelle are an awesome crew no matter the circumstances always a positive attitude even Paul
I really like the sound of that exhaust! Shop upgrades are really coming along. You all have a great weekend and thank you for sharing
A straight pipe would sound better.
For all you guys do I can’t believe that doesn’t happen a lot more! Been there done that electrical tape works great
Super Glue!
Super glue was invented for closing wounds. It doesn't even sting.
@@TheBloatedPony veterinary derma bond, exactly what the urgent care is going to use. You can buy it online easy for under $20, try and buy the FDA approved version for drs, its over 80 and you as a commoner can't get it.
Did something similar tightening a chain bar - white electrical tape- don't know what in that shat but man it works!
Hunter will never learn not to doubt Paul, even when he's sleep deprived.
Paul, I know that feeling! I had 1 week off to get stuff done around the house. Day 1 I was climbing into the back of the truck to tarp a load and rolled my ankle bad. Spent the week hobbling around with a brace on, but shit still needs to get done and no one else is going to do it!
Rolled through Glendale on my cross country motorcycle trip last month. Absolutely beautiful area.
so nice to see Jase working and the whole family
Good to see your family, really love and care for you 😂 all the concerns for your finger 👍👍👍hi guys from Australia 🇦🇺
Jace is gaining some valuable knowledge working on his truck and has help from dad when he needs it. Good father.
You should rent a concrete saw from home depot and put some relief joints in the concrete to hide the cracks
Easy Money…
I'm glad they hired Jeffrey to keep an eye on you, Paul !
Great video! You all got some things done!! That new pad out front looks awesome!!! That's going to be so nice this winter... no more mud, snow and water in the shop!! YEAH!!! LOL!! Jace's truck is coming along very well. Looking forward to the test drive!! Sorry about your finger Paul😥
Hope you heal fast!
I'm surprised there are no expansion joints in your slab.
Turned into a sweet Dakota.
great to know other families are as sympathetic as mine. that cut will be a problem for a couple weeks.
Another great video love watching you and the family 😊 Thanks for sharing and bringing us along love your Channel !!!!!
Wow....that concrete looks amazing. Good Job Guys!
Multi-tasking: concrete patch, chain saw sharpening - ouch, Jase's truck repairs, salvaging, winter firewood. All in a weeks work. Truck sounds beautiful.
No matter how old you are your mother still thinks of you as a child
Jace will definitely need a tow point on the rear of the Dakota...
Merlin saying it’s got quagga muscles had me laughing out loud
My old man was a self taught meat cutter. Back in the day he was called a butcher. One day he came out of the butcher shop holding his hand in a rag. He had cut his finger off just a small piece of skin holding it on. Got him to the doctor and had it sewn back on. Worked fine the rest of his life. 👋 😊
I love when you keep proving hunter wrong 😂 when will these kids learn who the man with the plan is!!
Love a truck build where the t-case cost more than the whole truck!
Getting hurt sucks 😢 pain is just letting you know your still alive 😊
Paul an old butcher Pro tip is to cut the little finger off a latex glove and use it as a compress to stop the bleeding on a finger and allow it to clott.
It’s amazing what a sharp chain does for chainsaw performance!
...and to unprotected fingers!
Pure honey is another way to help seal up wounds fast….. not sure how well it’ll do to seal up wounds that apparently got to the bone as you said in the video 😬, but worth keeping the info for other non bone related cuts.
Honey has anti- bacterial qualities . It's good on burns and scalds. too.
Ouch 🤕 did the exact thing sharpening a machete 😮 super glued it and went back to work 💪🏼 your neighbor is awesome 👍 kids n gramma are hilarious giving Paul a hard time 😂🤣 Aloha from Hawaii 🤙🏽😎🌴
The metal in the tree is most likely nails. Apparently people back in the day drove Galvinized nails into the trees to provide them with zinc. I learned this from my Forrester brother-in-law. We were cutting my mother-in-law's pecan trees and he broke a chain on one.
That was a nice landing with the lawnmowers! By the way... are you on blood thinners, Paul? Wow.... you're a bleeder!
Nope! Just a deep cut!😮
HEY! Good morning everybody and thumbs UP to Fab Rats!
one, I repeat, ONE!!! second before me....
@@JanelleVocate-Ames 😁 Goooooood morning Janelle! 💫
Most of us who have used a chainsaw lots, learned that when sharpening a chain you pull it towards you putting pressure on the back of the teeth to rotate the chain.
But we learned that little gem the same way you just did.
Blue sky’s and tailwinds
A clean shop towel and black tape always worked for Me. 45 years metal worker/ chainsaw jockey/ mechanic!
YAY
Paul is like just cut it off i got work to do. I don't need Ten fingers to work. 🤣
You and your family are completely amazing. Thank you for sharing your journey with us. We are the blessed ones. Wish I was your neighbor.
Them chainsaw blades are sharp, even after hitting a nail. You guys have ZERO Chainsaw Safety. Chaps, head gear, gloves, steal toed boots, hearing protection. The build of the new shop is going great. Thanks for sharing, even it there is blood. Michelles laugh about comp, was priceless.
You definitely have the mind set of a farmer. Even when severely injured work needs to be done.
I've been cutting trees for 20 yrs and many times sharpening saws have nearly cut the ends of my finger off I learned to use super glue fill the cut with o and pinch it closed till it dries then you good or paper towels and tape it with electrical tape
I was a construction lineman and I just wanted to say, that you do get used to wearing gloves. They don't even slow you down. Keep them video's coming.
I was cringing when Jase was wrenching at the 18min 35sec mark. If that spanner comes off he's going to destroy his knuckles or fingers (don't ask how I know) . He'll only do it once though, and that's not the Fabrats way.
His face when he walked around to listen to that burble was so nice to see. Pride in his ride.
