My dad used to say, the only 2 good things that came out of Detroit was the Ford Thunderbird and Bob Seger. Obviously thats his opinion but I do know for a fact I'm here today because he had a 78 tbird and my mom had a 79🤔
Hell yeah demolition derby. Yes build cars yes
💯💯 FATHER OF THE YEAR 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳
Brother dat looked like lots of Fun and as a Dad you are doing it right ... Keep it up paulie
It's good that Graydon has some "jitters". Means he cares.
"if I yell at ya, I'm not yelling at ya"...fist bump. What a great Dad Paul is. We need more of men like him in this world.
I was legit thinking the same thing 🤣 my dad would have said the same thing.
Thinking the same! Awesome that they have a class for the boys!!
This was a special moment to me. What a great thing to say to your son. So much fun to watch Paul & Grayden in that race. Congratulations guys!!
I actually say this at work to co-workers, cause I'm low tone deaf if there is a lot of back ground noise I tend to raise my voice and if you don't know you might think I'm yelling at you. Though this version is a lot more funner to be screaming directions while having fun with your kid...all that mud.

Things you thought you'd never say - "Grandma, you can't swear on camera."
LOL!
That was worth a laugh out loud.
This is EXACTLY what we love about this channel.
Yes, we want more videos like this. American Dad doing American dad stuff.
"I'm not yelling at you, I'm encouraging loudly!" I wish I would have had that wisdom when my boy was growing up. Outstanding!
Paul and the boys wrenching and racing together on derby cars, I am DEFINITELY here for that! Great job guys, so awesome to watch!
Do people realize how valuable & more valuable these old cars become by the year? Not because it's vintage but because it's not tracked by GPS, doesnt have video cameras in it, does not "park assist"(which means the car can be steered without you). Did you know the average new car sends about 20 to 30 giga bytes per hour when moving? I dont know about you but I DO NOT want any of that.
@@jaredkinneyjr do you uses a cellphone? Cause if your worried about a car giving out your information, you got worse problems. Also all of these car were wrecked before. About 95% of demo cars are previously wrecked cars or non valueable cars
@@jaredkinneyjr if you use tiktok your fk, read the agreements, they track you on EVERYTHING and are always listening, they even know your typing pattern on your phone and on other devices, dont worry about car is only gps atm
"grandma you cant swear on camera"
"well I just did"
I could've sworn my granny was here and I could hear her saying her favorite line. love you guys and true fans will support yall no matter what. Keep it up
Yup grandma rocks reminds me if my grandma cept she always wore a black stetson lol
You know you're having fun when you get your mom cussing! 😆😆
This one actually made me shed a little tear, this is *invaluable* experience, all 3 of these young men will always know how to work on their cars & i believe, ironically, be better road going drivers for this type of experience, this is just special beyond words guys.
24:40 "If I'm yelling at ya, I'm not yelling, I'm encouraging, loudly!!!" Hands down one of the best dad in the world!!!! You guys are awesome. Oh and Michelle has to be one of the best mom too for letting dad have this kind of fun with "her" kids. ;)
Shoot I wish ks still did derbys, I would have had my boys in the mix and I d be right there with em !!!
Grandma's reaction to derby car revving up was hilarious.
I got chills and happy dad tears in my eyes watching this. World needs more fantastic father/son stuff like this!
Indeed, me too.

I know it's great seeing a great parent like that teaching their kids how to have fun Paul and Michelle are great parents
This might have been my favourite video yet! Watching the boys thrive from the experiences and opportunities they have with a father who can teach them valuable skills while also having fun is awesome. Family done right, well done guys.
Just got done watching and you said it better than I could have. Out of all their videos I've watched, this is by far my favorite. What an awesome dad and family.
💗
I think this is one of my favorite videos of yours.
Like I've always said, there are a lot of content creators on CZcams, but the reason I keep coming back to yours is because of the personality. I think these videos pleasantly break up the content of straight build videos. It's nice to see these other small glimpses into you8r family as you feel like sharing.
Great stuff as always!
Well... this is a build video also, kind of, if doin' body work with a tractor bucket and an 8 lb sledge hammer is still called "Body Work???" I'll have to admit though, I've never seen a body shop start the job, cleaning out the interior with a garden rake! Maybe this is "Basic Body Work." You have to put away the tractor-assist when you get into "real" body work. 🤣👍
Anyone else have a smile on their face the whole time Grayden was driving?? I know I did lol. Great job guys!
And he won blind lol
I was fist pumping and cheering when he moved to first! Great fun when you see the little ones competing, baseball, rodeo or racing its always fun!
From ear to ear.
Here here, I could water a tree with the tears of joy I had n out shined the sun with my beaming smile for Graders.
was simply awesome!
I love that your mom still cusses you out for your schenannigans. Looked like fun for the whole family.
One of my favourite videos, would love to see more derby content 👌🏻 be great to see Fab Rats, Matt’s Off Road Recovery & Robby Layton in the same race !
That was SOO much fun to watch! Seeing Paul and the boys wrenching, welding and racing together brought a big smile to my face!
Congrats on the trophies!
Paul, If your boys want to do it, then DO it, regardless of the feedback!!
If there are any haters out there have them give me a call.
From what I have seen, the comments have pretty much been unanimously in favor of more Derby videos
Wow, the way you guided Grayden through that race, I respect that so much. Telling him that if you yell at him, you're not, you're just encouraging him. And then offering positive reinforcement throughout the whole race. And how you were with him in the car, not just on the sidelines. You provided the perfect balance of excitement but also calmness, which is such a good quality to have as a parent/coach/mentor. I wish I had that when I was growing up!
Brought tears of great memories when my youngest daughter raced. I cried like a baby when she won her first main event 4 days after her 12th birthday.
Time spent with her is invaluable and can't be purchased at any cost.
Paul...you have made investments that will pay dividends for the rest of their lives...and yours.
Enjoy the blood, sweat and tears.
Love the channel!
more derby vids! that 1st place win was great. love it. "if I yell at you, I'm not yelling at you"
This was probably one of my favorite episodes. Grader was a great driver. Makes me want to go derby.
I agree…This video was AWESOME!!!
I was laughing and crying at the same time watching you race with Grayden! You are doing it right sir.
Yup. That is a moment that Grayden will never forget, and he will pass it on to his own kids someday
Heck yeah you're doing it right getting the kids involved and egg and a Mon and get them to go and tell him great and if I yell at you don't take it offensive it's just to get going and do good
Paul, we love watching your builds. But, this was awesome! Love the family event derby racing ... got me worked up thanks for sharing. Put a grin on my face for sure
Yeah!!! One of the top vids for sure! What a great moment with the kids! That moment of his proud dad cheering him on while in the car with him!! Priceless!!! Well done Paul!! He’s gonna remember those moments forever!👍👌
Driver’s Ed in the Cox household is a lot more fun than my class. 😂👍
"You steer and I'll work the E-brake" 🤘
Oh man!! Watching Graders race!! That was the BEST thing I've seen in a LONG time!! That was EPIC!!!
He's a natural!
I agree that was the most exciting race I seen in a long time CZcams put a commercial in the middle and I almost chewed my fingernails off waiting for it to end so I could get back to the race. Congratulations Graders

What an awesome dad! Great job team Fab Rats!!!
The best trophy you got Paul was the participation trophy for being there through the whole process. From building to smashing the cars, core memories were definitely made that day.
Seeing Paul's eyes light up when he first started that engine was a treat. Keep the derby videos coming.
I Ditto this ♾

Yes. Derby fits well with the channel and is such a big part of the heritage that allows you all to build the other vehicles and projects for the Fab Rats channel.
Dad of the year award! This is so cool, getting all the boys out and raising the next generation of hooligans, I love it 👌
Right? Like my old man did ok, but to be born one of Paul's boys, _man_ what a ride!
I could not have more fun than watching Paul's knowledge and joy being passed on to the youngsters. Good job all of you!
gotta love those REAL smiles at the end!!! Glad you guys had such a great family outing!
Parenting done right, the world needs more of this. I love the variety of content you have and this is a great addition to the channel. I'd love to see more!
Definitely need more derby content love how good the family works together
One of the best episodes yet. Your family is admirable, I love seeing the kids have so much fun. It's great to see you teach them values and responsibility. The older boys are awesome, Graden and Gracie are adorable.
I LOVED IT.. Brought Tears to this ole mans eyes.. That folks is Class Act Fathering.. and the Derby cars and excitement is pretty awesome too.. Hope to see More of this as well as the Usual Builds. Congrats Boy's and Kuddo's to Paul for being the Dad of the Year in my book..
In reference to the "do you want to see more content like this?", heck yes! I grew up going to derbies but never in one. I've always searched for a channel that did some behind the scenes work to build a derby car but have never found anything. I'm all for more derby content!
I've been in one many years ago and it was a blast
if i could give this video 100 likes i would, absolutely amazing watching you and your family do the things you love together.
Lol you kinda can just keep tapping the like button ( of course YT doesn’t count it more than once) but still you are doing it & that’s what matters.
This was a fun addon to the dailies from this channel, I liked it, and I LOVED how your kids loved it too... I sure felt their adrenaline sitting here miles away. Way to go buys !
Derby stars were born !!
What a show of family fun and unity. I appreciate you and your crew's example of moral and spiritual values. God Bless. I'm an 81 yr old retired minister who's always been hooked on cars. Racing, demoing, restoring, etc.😊
I love how you spend time with your sons, teaching them a trade, how to have good, clean fun, and lead them by example. Sadly, there aren’t too many other young men in today’s culture as blessed as you and yours.
So true
Not to sure you watched the same video as the rest of us. "Good Clean fun"... LMBO 🤣🤣🤣
The look in the boys' eyes - thrill- excitement great times...and the excitement in mama bear's voice too!!! Great family outing...great memories created.
It’s a no-brainer that all of your videos are great your builds and all that you fabricate and do! But seeing you with your sons building your car and there’s racing together and having a good time, this was just an amazing video you definitely need to have more videos like this absolutely loved it! Keep up the great work and great content!👍🏼🤩💪🏼❤️
What a great video of a father and his boys having the time of their lives. Awesome Mom supports their shinnegans.
Best dad ever! Your boys will cherish these memories. And kudos to Michelle for cheering them on! Everyone did great behind the wheel! Graders is a natural the way he whips that wheel around.
“You can’t swear on camera”
“Well I just did”
Had me rolling.
Fab Rats Family...DERBYING YES PLEASE!...it was interesting, entertaining and fun to watch all of you working on the cars and going "racing" (killing cars) as a family. It's motorized auto sport, it's machine building and driving skill and it's so 'Merica! Michelle also gets a trophy...for being 'Super Wife And Mother' for allowing, putting up with, supporting and cheering on her men for sure. ;)
This looks like loads and LOADS of fun for these boys (and their Dad) and they’re learning and bonding as a family even tighter. Hat’s off at you.
As an old race car driver, I know the feeling of winning your first race. To see Grayden’s face light up when he won, brought that feeling back. He will cherish that day forever.
This is so cool to see it as a family event. That look on Paul's face when he first fired that engine was priceless. There is nothing like starting up a pre ran car. Keep it coming!
Did we hear grandma swear😀
Congratulations to your sons! a late derby driver myself, it is interesting to see how different parts of the country have different build requirements. My son is now at that age where he wants to build one.
Couldn't agree more with all the comments. Father and Sons doing wholesome dude stuff. Refreshing to see during a time in this country when it's needed the most. Kudos to the Cox family and crew; you guys are doing it right. That was awesome.
That video was freakin awesome! Watching Paul sit shotgun with Grayden while he takes the win was absolutely amazing! That smile on his face while holding the trophy told it all!
"I got mud on my face, we won this race, drivin' this car all over the place!!" Awesome job guys!!!
I hear the tune! 😆
@@beepndigr3634 singing "we will, we will wreck you!!!" 🤪😁🤪
I laughed and smiled through the whole video. It’s the junk in the cars, the no EPA equipment, the DAD WITH HIS BOYS. I all made me smile. Please make more.
Awesome !!! I don't think I've seen Paul's smile any bigger !!! And yeah as a father you learn that all the thing's you've loved to do yourself your whole life is better watching your kid's do it and helping them 💞💓 good on ya Paul !!!
Oh one other thing... VERY good call bringing Ben on !!! He's great help and brings great comedy to the show 😉
Something tells me Paul has been waiting his whole adult life for this day at the race track. Congratulations fellas. 🏆
well that something is way off he has been doing this his whole life.

Fab Rats: where grams cusses, engines are harvested and bees and t-birds go to die. Smashing good video!
One of my earliest memories is watching demolition derby with my Dad. He wasn't allowed to drive, due to a heart condition, but he built the cars with his auto club buddies. Early 70s...those were some solid old wrecks....
That’s one favorite videos. The smiles on your boys faces make this video amazing. Keep up the good work.
On the restart…..3…….2…….(Paul “GO!”)…..1! So awesome!! Way to go, boys!!!
I think Paul perfectly anticipated the reaction time delay for Grady to hit the pedal and for the engine to spool up so they started moving exactly on "go."
To take a trophy at the races, then have your sons both take a trophy, is simply outstanding. You are one very lucky dude. Keep up the great work, and good luck.
Paul, This was your best video yet! Wish there were more dads like you out there! Watching you and the boys with adrenaline pumping made the perfect video! Thank you for the example you set as a great father!
I can watch this video 10x. Always Awesome. Great Dad. Great family memories
I think my favorite part was grandma coming out and saying "holy sh!t" and when Paul said she couldn't swear on camera she goes "well i just did" that reminds me of my grandma and my antics over the years. Got such a good laugh out of that. Thanks Paul and family for the great content
"Harvest the motor" ,spoken like a true farmer.
Always loved watching you Paul, you’re a damn good driver!
What a fun time! Grader’s taking first on the race around the track! Way to go bud! I really enjoyed this video! Jace and Landon kickin some butt too!
This truly brought a beaming smile to my face and tears to my eyes. I use to build with my granddad when I was young. So happy to watch the smiles on the faces of your family working and playing together. Thank you Cox family!
Boy that was awesome to see the youngin’s out there gettin in to the action. Great job all you guys. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Paul and Michele are my parenting heros!
I started watching Paul run trucks on youtube almost 10 years ago now, glad to see him back in the derby ring and would love to see him run another truck!!!
Paul, you are doing so well for your kids, seriously reminds me of my dad and I when I was growing up. Constantly encouraging and always enabling. Keep up the awesome!!!
Can't give enough "thumbs-up" for that wholesome clip - should be a must watch for dads. Congrats to the whole Cox family!
I'm with you Paul, watching the boys was the highlight to the whole thing. I enjoyed watching immensely. Thank you for sharing the passion with your kids.
Paul is so awesome. I would have loved to have a Dad like him.
Congrats to all of you. Your boys will cherish those memories for ever.
This was a GREAT change of pace to your normal videos. Thank you for adding some spice to your channel.
It was very much appreciated. I'm looking forward to seeing what you'll do next to surprise us.
Love Paul's "frame Rack", its so awesome to see all the boys involved in this and Grayden is a riot !!
HAHAHAHA, Damn that looks like fun!! I miss my son 🤣🤣 When he gets back from serving overseas, we are going to have a project. Come hell or highwater. Never thought i'd be cutting onions over mud racin and derbyin, but damn... This is some of the most wholesome stuff... Bravo y'all.
You have to be real proud of that young man. Not because he won, which was GREAT, but because he did such a great job in general. He's a natural. And what a lucky kid to have an opportunity to get involved in this kind of fun hobby so young. Databyter
Please keep doing derby content! You are hands down one of the best drivers I’ve ever had the privilege of watching.
Congratulations on the W little man! Gotta keep this crazy sport alive for us old dogs. Gonna get harder and harder as the electrics fill the junk yards. Great video all!
Just gonna wreck them just you watch lol 😝
Hi Paul and MiChelle, I found your channel a few years ago and ive watched ALL of your derby footage. Ive also watched all of your builds. Ive been hoping and waiting a long time for some new derby stuff. its about time. I used to build scouts and 4wd trucks with my dad but hes passed on now. I cant do it anymore because i was hurt bad in an coal mine accident. But your channel, Matt's and Robbys keeps me going and i appreciate you all. Your boys are growing up fast. Enjoy them as much as you can! My kids are grown now.
Well, I've got to just say that I couldn't be more thrilled that you all kicked butt and took names in that!
What a testimony to your skills and also to your family strength!
Absolutely AWESOME !!!! Doing things with the family is the greatest ! Loved it !!!
Loved to see the excitement in your boys faces after their races, good luck keeping them out of the shop now !!!
He couldn't keep them out before
Watching the pure joy in Paul’s face when he started his car and drove it out defines who and what he is. Joanne and I had a great time watching a derby build. And then watching Paul and the boys race was choice.
This is probably one of my favourite videos by far love it it's so wholesome love seeing a dad and he's sons enjoying life together and learning it's beautiful god bless you all
I thoroughly enjoyed this. From build to demo, it was great! More content like this please?
Dude when grandma came in cussing I about died laughing
Grandma for the win!
Grayder is an absolute beast! Landon and Jace remind me so much of my boys who live and breathe motocross it made me miss them more than I usually do. You done good Paul. Enthusiastic yelling never did any harm
That was the best family oriented, fun time I’ve seen in awhile! Paul, Nice Utah tan after Graydon’s derby. Those boys are having the times of their lives and don’t even realize how much they are learning at the same time.
I have tears in my eyes. THIS is how fathers and sons should play together!
Gaydon well done dude, i had the same excited anxiety watching him race , like I did the first time watching my boy play his first under 16s England Rugby match , you all done us proud 👏
I see the family had a lot of fun. And the boys are carrying on Dads hobby, so it will never die. plus Paul's going to have to make a couple of shelves for all the big trophy's that the boys are going to win over the next couple of months. More videos like that please. Cheers from New Zealand.
I absolutely love how he plays with his boys and encourages them to just HAVE FUN.
Hands down my FAVORITE fab rats adventure! we definitely need way MORE Cox family demolition! Great job boys!
This is awesome, especially loved Grayden's race. I might have to add a father son type race like this to the program at our county fair.
No maybes you guys should definitely do it, n not just father-son have it be Co-Ed girls can Wreck too.
I love grandma. She makes me think of mine.
