Kiteboarding Aitutaki, Cook Islands, north of Rarotonga, is one of the best kitesurfing locations in the world.
Kiteboarding massive shallow sand bottom areas, perfect to learn to kiteboard, mixed with super flat water to push your new kiteboarding freestyle tricks. The magnificent blue lagoon is over 11km wide, full of small sand islands and amazing fish life for you to explore.

The wind in Aitutaki can be a mixed bag. On a normal trip we get about 80% kite time.
50% big kites 12m - 18m, 30% small kites 8m - 11m, 20% fishing and beers.

Cheers, I haven't been in aitutaki Oct Nov but i recommend taking a light wind kite. A light wind session is better than no session ☺
Cook Islands are on my bucket list now.
I like how you don't focus too much on the kite and equipment but actually on the place and the tricks. It is much appreciated. :)

Since Aug. 2017, you MUST hire a warter taxi to take you to the designated kite spot -- cost $35 NZ per day.
It was $60 (NZ) two years ago, who knows now with the price of fuel, etc...

Marvelous vid and the most beautiful playground I have so far ever seen but but but.... you seem to use very big kites dudes. and it doesn't look very windy there. Am I wrong?
I mean, when you have to sell a kidney to afford the price for such a trip, you expect to kite EVERY SINGLE DAY with maximum a 9m kite ;)
