It was in Houston, probably around the time when Selena was touring and performed a sold out concert at the Astrodome in Houston back in 1995. But of course it’s hard to pin point when it happened since Selena had visited Houston several times in the past as she has a huge fan base over there and we’re basing the interaction solely on Beyoncé with no one either confirming or denying the interaction.
This scene gave me chills! Beyoncé is a living legend and Selena a legend! 💓 if only they knew how big they were gonna become. Just crazy how life is

@@marespinoza09 that is not true in the slightest. People actually were mad at the casting choice but when the movie came out everyone was blown away with jlos performance and praised her. The only reason she was even made famous was because of how good her acting was in the selena movie.

Back in the day, u could had seen and met selena at every club, ballroom, indoor , outdoor venues and private parties in Texas. It's seem to me she sung in houston, texas every other weekend. Enter fee was 5 to 10 dollars and many times free, too. Those were the good old days.

It's crazy because, Selena and Beyonce share alot of similarities when it comes to their up bringings
They're both from Texas, started their careers at a early age, and their fathers were their managers in their teen and adult years. Unfortunately, their fathers were idiots who treated their daughters' band mates unfairly which devastated and sent them in a depression. With Abraham, he fired Chris for continuing to date Selena after previously warning them not to. And with Mathew, he was treating three Destiny's Child members LaTavia, LeToya, and Farrah horribly and as a result, the group lost them.

To all those saying that these actors don’t look like the real life people they are portraying..Playing a real life person on screen isn’t always about “looking like” the person. There are plenty of people who looked liked the real life people they were portraying and that was about the ONLY thing you could say about them...
It’s about capturing that real life person’s essence, the traits that made them who they were and are (if they are still alive). They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. You don’t need to look exactly like someone to imitate them.
Yes for a legend like Selena, getting someone that looks like her is cherry on the cake, getting someone who captures her spirit too?...well you’ve got something truly remarkable. As for Beyonce (and the girl playing her), remember, she’s a little girl, she wasn’t the polished, confident and enigmatic star we know today.
She was just a girl who had a dream and as fate, destiny or whatever else you may want to call it would have it, ran into Selena at a mall. Selena with her mom and sister and Beyonce with hers.
That torch was passed THEN, whether people want to believe it or not. Selena never knowing or being able to see who that little girl would one day become but was kind enough to say hello and give a smile. An interaction that Beyonce would never forget.
I don’t know how anyone could see and hear that story and not believe that there are things beyond this world at work IN this world that we will never be able to comprehend or understand.
Selena the series is a fantastic tribute to a woman who continues to live on in spirit and touch lives decades after her premature passing.
