I think season 1 was better in the sense of educating the general Public about our Tejano/Mexican culture, the meaning, and the music 🎵🎶🎵!!!! I was so proud that they put that in part 1. But part 2 was badass in the drama aspect of the series!!!!

I watched this interview a couple of days ago so it was fresh in my mind, but the way she captured Veronica’s expressions and style of speech was JAW DROPPING. I was squealing like a little kid. Christian did such an AMAZING job, and her Spanish has gotten so much better!
In another life, this would be another interview Selena y Los Dinos had with her. And everyone is happy, and everyone is okay.

I think she did a good job to capture Selena’s spirit. The main thing for me that I always notice about Selena, aside from her musical talent of course, is that she seem so kind and loving and had such a bright and happy smile… I think Christian captured that perfectly.
And like Selena’s sister from real life said… Everyone complained about J Lo being cast to because she was half Puerto Rican and not all Mexican-American and didn’t look enough like Selena and so on... she also said that there was one actress that looked exactly like Selena and her father wanted to pick her because of that but she couldn’t dance well or act. I agree with the sister… I would much rather have someone that captures Selena spirit and can dance similar to her and stuff like that then someone who just looks like her but isn’t a great actor.
I keep forgetting these are actors and not the real people. God, the make up artists did very well.
Not just the make up artists that did a great job, but also the casting director. The casting is perfect for this show!

I was like. 4 years old when Selena died in 1995 i turned 5 that October.
Bruh I still remember the day Selena passed. I was in kindergarten and my sister and cousins were crying when they found out. The Polynesian community absolutely LOVES Selena and to this day, her songs always get every Poly function poppin. RIP Queen. Thanks for making this Netflix!

This series was so good. Just so sad it only had two seasons due to Selena’s death. 😢 I remember hearing of her death when it happened and was devastated. What a talent, so very young, and still a newlywed was very sad to o me. 🙏❤️Thanks for keeping Selena’s memory alive 25 years later. To me it’s like it just happened again. 😢❤️🙏 Great cast!! 🙏❤️

So much fun this cast, so much fun! Part 2 was really really good!! Kudos to Christian - she really did her thing on this and I really felt gave us the Selena spirit! Her Como La Flor performance at the Astrodome was quite frankly - INCREDIBLE!
I really like the cast! They all have a great chemistry! I really liked the series! Even though I do wish the actual Chris Perez gave out his side of the story. But other than that these actors did a great job 😭❤️
Just finished the second season and I thought it was amazing. I liked the first episodes but those last ones were more emotional and tied to the fans. Wish the 9th episode was longer and showed more of Selena’s live performances but great job guys!!

When Selena died I was 8 and soon to be 9 in a few months. I couldn’t really cry but did meet her at a Seller Bro’s haha she was a sweetheart and rocked the regular clothing!! Her music stayed with us over the years and hearing Pete Astudillo and Bobby Pulido song songs about her did haunt me a bit even as a kid. And in 2005 the Astrodome special felt amazing! However I also didn’t cry. Felt like a relative who died in 95. Watching the second to last episode at the Astrodome while she began to vocalize Como La Flor, man, I broke down, I bawled and suddenly felt the emotion and felt her death it hit me!
Favorite interview ever. 🙌 the cast all seems close and like an actual family.
It makes sense ppl liked the second season better. The first season was more focused on when she was younger and her teenage years… Times that we’re not really that familiar with… So it makes sense that we would enjoy seeing the scenes and outfits we associate with Selena, but I thought they all did a great job all along.
Also, can I just say, and I thought this while I was watching the show, The woman who plays this sneaky interviewer w the cowboy hat is so beautiful. I find her to be anyway.
I really enjoyed this cast and I think they did a great job. It’s not easy to do roles on real people especially really beloved people. They did great imo.
Also the child actor was disturbing as the fucking shit. Especially the way she moved her mouth like her chin was broken while lip syncing the songs
