ASW 15 & Old-Glider friends

- L`ASW 15 de Felix, originaire à Gilles Gohier, fût construit en 1979/1980. Felix restaurait de fond ce planeur francais historique (car un des premiers avec aîles en "Peau GV") aprés la mort de Gilles en 2012. Dès lors Felix le pilote exclusivement aux endroits tant aimés par Gilles. Donc bientôt l`ASW 15 comptera ses 40 ans (à fêter avec d`autres modélistes ingénieux de l`époque Peau GV comme Gérard, Jacques et Pierre). L`héro du jour sera accompagné par "la" Marianne à Michel, Libelle Standard (Robbe) et Grunau Baby à Peter II. Je dédie la vidéo à Gérard Risbourg.

Superbe ! Je viens de tomber par hasard sur cette vidéo. J'ai vu ce planeur voler aux mains de Gilles Gohier que j'ai bien connu dans les années 80-90 alors que j'étais tout jeune modéliste. Nous faisions parti du même club près de Chinon, "les ailes Rabelaisiennes". Je me souviens qu'il m'avait prêté une cassette VHS décrivant la fameuse méthode de construction de ses ailes fibres. Il fait parti des gens qui m'ont inspiré cette passion de l'aéronautique et du modélisme ! Je me souviens aussi de son DG400 électrique avec pilote retractable, un pionnier à l'époque ! Je ne savais malheureusement pas qu'il nous avait quitté, la vie faisant que je l'avais perdu de vue debut des années 2000... Merci à vous de continuer à faire voler ses planeurs !

Enfin des belles images au contrast les CZcams tres technique et ecolierent sans rien a voir au contrast de paysage finistere. Les images sont plus belles parce que vous avez bien calculee l'heure de flimage avec un soleil brilliant sur le sujet, un ocean calm, et vent parfait avec une musique melodiquement applique. J'aime forte la finistere!

In fact this ASW 15 is a personal concepted glider in 1976 and in some way historical !! Not to buy. In the net you`ll find certainly other ASW 15 1:3 for sale.
Super!!! Glider is my dream, but here in Saint-Petersburg (Russia) we have not good conditions and places for classic gliders :( Only little slope gliders is possible...

@gprrobby our dunes too small :) only 30-40 meters wide and flat as a table. Some weeks ago I have seen a hill with an old ski track. Around 600 meters long and about 100 meters high. Will try it with a 1.5m styrofoam glider.
And maybe I will try to fly in the Crimea this summer. Where is many very good cliffs.
@@youldhead4017 thanks, you should be abel to fly there. In Brittany, we flew with 4m gliders over riffs who where about 3m high!!!

I like this glider. I am thinking of buying the ASW 20 4.7, but there is a problem, communication and the lack of people who are willing to give me a hand on where do you purchase them from. I am not that happy with tight lipped people who say nothing. First of all, what's the wingspan of this magnificent glider? Secondly, care to tell me where did you buy it from? And... this is the hardest question anybody hasn't answered me yet, unless I have to kiss their asses, can this model have a propeller so that if the wind stops and the glider drops, the propeller can help bring it back to land safety? I don't want a glider that has a motor running all the time. If it does, then it's no longer a glider, but a plane. 3 Simple questions, let's see who will respond. LOL.

Salut! Je vais venir en vacances à Douarnenez fin avril. Je prends à chaque fois un modèle avec moi. Je vis en Suisse et je viens régulièrement à Douarnenez. J'ai déjà volé plusieurs fois par là-bas et je cherche à connaître d'autres passionnés, histoire de partager cette belle passion.

@@gprrobby salut ! Je suis sur Douarnenez jusqu'à la fin de la semaine. Ils annoncent de l'ouest pour vendredi et samedi. Je pensais aller faire un tour vers Tréfuntec s'il ne pleut pas. Tu penses que l'endroit est bien choisi ? Merci pour ta réponse !

J'ai testé cet après midi la pointe du Bellec. Très sympa pour mon Shadow (airtech) mais je ne pense pas qu'on puisse y voler de très gros modèles comme sur certaines de tes vidéos.
Je suis allé voir avant-hier la pointe de Tréfuntec mais ca soufflait nord nord-est, qqch comme ça. Pas pu voler. Mais enfin bref, cette Bretagne c'est le paradis, et de l'avis de toute la famille ! :-)
