Ambient - Big Gliders
Very difficult to give you some ambient distraction in these terrible times of political, religious and environmental conflicts on mother earth in 2023. So I offer to you a potpourri of images from my last journey to Brittany. Big gliders using windpower in a beautiful french landscape under different meteological conditions, even Beaufort 7-8. In my opinion for about nine minutes a peaceful contrast to what is going on around us. Please watch it on big screen. Merry Christmas to you all and a happy new year. Robby

Avant dernier jour de mes vacances d`automn 2023 en Bretagne. Encore une fois une petite tempête avec un vent fort secteur sud (75 km/h) et la possibilité de lancer le Nimbus 4D. au tiers, avec Philippe comme personnage intrépide. Le soleil de l`après midi faisait qq. percées donnant avec les nuages un aspect mytique de la scénerie. À admirer le travail des ailes dans le vent et des turbulences...

Again, the large K8B-6000 by Phoenixmodel/Vietnam accompagned me in its 12. year of ownership without any regret, to the coasts in Brittany-Finistère. Like the Arcus it became a seaplane showing us its flying/gliding beauty over the riffs in a totally laminar airflow. Please watch and listen. Most of the images have been filmed by Michel. Le premier après midi de mon séjour automne 2023 en Finistère. Par vent soutenu ouest, les grands planeurs comme Straton et JS1 n`avaient pas de problèmes pour rester au dessus des crêtes. Enfin, le Menez Hom à l`occasion du 30. anniversaire de la rencontre GPR Ascension 2023 nous a acceuilli avec 3 jours de soleil, vent modéré à fort et sa meilleure pente. Quelle génialité de sa part. Ayant essayé de tout comprimer sur une vidéo ( et il me manquait encore du matériel), elle est devenue un peu longue, trop longue pour certains. Néanmoins, allez y, ca vaut le coup!! This is the largest and most beautiful R/C aircraft that I have ever seen. A little bit bigger and you could take out the dummies and ride in her yourself. Those gulls must've thought that they were seeing "The GOD of All Seagulls!" 😅

C'est beau, mais pourquoi massacrer l'expérience du visionneur avec une pseudo-musique très répétitive, nulle et bruyante, au lieu des sifflements du vent ? Là je m'y croirais plus !
Chacun à son goût pour la musique (regarde les autres commentaires). Les sifflements du vent ce jour de tempête n`étaient que du bruit lors des prises de caméras diverses. Désolé que tu étais décu!

Es gehört schon viel Mut und auch Schneid dazu solch ein Modell dort abzuwerfen. Dies gilt für alle Beteiligten dort. Man stelle sich nur auch vor, einer der Helfer stolpert und fällt.... Das Flugbild dieses ARCUS ist natürlich vor dieser Kulisse unvergleichlich. Gottseidank noch gut gelandet

I cant see the point. If you are going to RC something that large then why not go a bit bigger and get in it ??
Nothing compares to a big glider flying all the time you want at the height of your nose and watch the passing by. You won`t get this with a big one.!!

So sad that i probably will never get my preordered DG1001 from fly-around. This would have been a perfect slope glider for me 😢

Mon dieu... un nimbus de 9 m d'envergure dans le ciel du Finistère avec pour fond l'Atlantique, quoi de plus majestueux. Un albatros dans l'océan indien ou le Pacific certainement. Merci, c'est tellement beau que j'en ai le "souffle coupé" (force 7/8)
Salut Benoit, rien de plus facile, que de piloter grandeur en bord de mer au dessus des falaises, suite au vent laminaire!! Le seul danger et d`ailleurs suspense: acceder au lieu de lancer et l`atterro.!!
