    Wax which creates hydrophobic and protective durable coating for up to 12 months. Thanks to unique fluoropolymers, the coating. The paint is protected against the effects of rain, UV radiation and road salt. The product is dedicated to light colored paintwork.
    1. Prepare your car by carefully washing it with neutral pH shampoo, drying and decontaminating the surface using clay, cleaner, or other products of this kind.
    2. Get the minimum amount of product on the pad by applying gentle pressure to the surface of the wax and moving pad in a can.
    3. Spread an even and possibly thin layer of wax with cross-motion, working panel by panel.
    4. Wait about 5-8 minutes for the wax to bind with the paint. The higher temperature, the shorter time needed.
    5. Polish the residue with a clean and dry microfiber cloth, frequently changing its side or replacing it with fresh one.

    “New & Improved” almost always means more profitable for a company and thus lower quality or effectiveness than the original. Good to know the change won’t be too drastic a difference.

    I have to admit to being a bit child-like in finding a decent smell very important. Detailing is supposed to be fun and relaxing for me, and a stinky product just muddles the experience. Also, as important as durability is, when you like detailing, I doubt you want to wait 12 months before putting on a new wax/sealant/whatevs. Maybe "being able to get through winter" is a better benchmark, as it's a bit less fun to detail in the cold/rain/snow. So in that respect I suspect the new version would suit me better - after I have tried out the other 4 waxes I still have to test out.

    Just came across this review. I just used the old version on 2 of my cars, one is fire red the other is deep red. Both cars were properly prepared, wash/clay/polished. Both cars surface did suffer from the “ghosting” you mentioned. It does wipe off but it does keep reappearing. However the water repellency and self cleaning abilities are astounding.

    • @ForensicDetailing
      @ForensicDetailing  Před 3 lety +3

      I think they use a lot of paraffin wax in this, just as a guess. because when you go above like 3-4% parrafin wax overall you get this like hologram greasy thing going on. But high parafine backboned waxes have crazy repellency, where as load of nuba backboned waxes hinder the repellency. so I think this is how they did it. Then within this theres like some bad ass fluropolyer (sp?) binding it all together which I think adds to the repellency but also makes it last a long time on the panel. Old Fusso is a brutal product in some ways (Toulene, Xylene, Keresone! and it stinks so bad like a petrol station) but like Ive never seen any "non" ceramic product get close to its durability (or its ability to demonstrate repelling water). Some people go nuts for this product but I would not even consider putting it on my black E36 which has good paintwork now. but for the short time I used to do payed detailing this was the most popular product and people loved it because they noticed it working for months and months in UK wet conditions.

      @@ForensicDetailing John thanks for replying. I really really appreciate it. You’re explanation I think is spot on. I live in the southeastern U.S.. It gets very hot and very humid here. Most summer days are 90-95% humidity. So I’m curious as to how Fusso is gonna handle that. No question water just won’t stay on the car and even if I leave it to dry on its own…there’s no water spotting! Matter of fact this stuff doesn’t even like car soap on it…just sheds it right off😂! I’m tentative though about putting it on customers cars…because of the “film or ghosting” it does on mine. However everyone is blown away by how my car looks especially when it rains.

    • @BetterThanNewDetailing
      @BetterThanNewDetailing Před 3 lety +3

      John you know another thing about people’s opinion about Fusso that I find ridiculous. They say it isn’t as glossy as others. Technically on a gloss meter it might not be. However it’s been scientifically proven that the human eye can’t tell the difference of +/- 5 units of gloss on a meter. In other words if I put my Fusso car next to yours and mine is 90 and yours is 94 on the meter our eyes won’t see the difference. So it’s a ridiculous argument. Plus Fusso is making my car look like liquid glass, I’m constantly getting comments on it.

    I tried Fusso Coat for the hydrophobicity/sheeting and low or no maintenance compared to a ceramic coating. I didn't wet the applicator before applying and it went on super thick and was difficult to remove (doesn't mention wetting it on the can). Also the wax dried way faster than the time listed on the instructions. When the Fusso car is outside and it rains the water does not all sheet off the car. There are still water spots the next day. The spots are, however, easy to remove with a spray bottle and microfiber. The gloss isn't crazy like a ceramic but really its not a fair comparison when you factor in cost.

    I wonder if this has been a clever marketing ploy by fusso, they release an excellent product onto the market, with no aggressive marketing, and at a reasonable cost, we do the product exposure for them, then they come in with virtually the same product as a "new improved formula" and at the new high price, and we fall for the ploy, I think I will just buy some more Kinami while it is available. no I think its more health and safety mate, removing some of the more harmfull solvents from the old product. yes you could say in the process they have used it as an opportunity to make a new improved formula. The problem is its not improved durability or value for money or water repellency... so yer its tough to do this type of review and I would prefer to be saying go an buy the new one.. but I cant roll that way.

    The only issue i've ever had with Fusso was not the wax it's self but the applicator, the standard foam applicator did leave almost ghosting on a dark blue van i waxed a while back but if you bin that and use a quality applicator the original Fusso is a great low maintenance wax. All that said though your quite right about the gloss, looks great when it's fresh but first time it rains or is washed the gloss level drops even though the water repellency stays very high. IMHO Fusso is a no frills workhorse of a wax.

      Fantic1980 it all come downs to preference the king of gloss is more of a synthetic finish and the Kiwami is carnauba side of finish.
      The flagship however is the authentic premium.

    I have the feeling that the haze problem (when overapplying) is also causing the loss of gloss/shine after a short time. I have seen quite a few videos of Fusso now where you can see haze on the paint after applying, like the paint got compounded but not polished afterwards.

    I can get 6 months with Meguiar's Ultimate Paste Wax with good surface preparation and it does give better gloss than Fusso. So there is no more point to buy new Fusso then. Also meguiar's aerosol wax can do almost 12 months, though no gloss at all with it.

    Hi,
    What would you recommend for somebody who isn't really into detailing cars to get swirl marks out?
    I have a red dc5 which is 16 years old. The paint is in great condition but has loads of swirls in it. As you can appreciate I'm a bit apprehensive about buying a machine polisher and ruining the paint.

    • @ForensicDetailing
      @ForensicDetailing  Před 5 lety +3

      You wont ruin the paint tom. With heavy swirls a glaze wont cut it (literally and metaphorocially) have a watch of my videos the (updated one) on how to polish a car with a DA. That honda paint will polish up butifully. Get yourself a DAS6 pro. Get some white hex logic pads, or yellow rupes pads. get some sonax perfect finish (250ml bottle) . wash and clay and dry it. Then polish it mate. follow the video.. Its not hard I promise you. You will not ruin anything and it will take your detailing to the next level.

    HELP NEEDED!!!!! I bought a Fusso 99 product last year, didn't realise there were different waxes in the range, they all look the same. The one I bought was the Soft99 420 Dark and Black version. No instructions or even english on the packaging. After a day of polishing out all the swirls, I proceeded to apply and then buff off as you had shown in your video, it was getting dark by then but looked great. Only noticing the next day in the sun that the car looks as if I have taken a metal scouring pad to my bonnet. Looking back at my order on the website it says "No drying or wiping off required. The newly developed microparticle formulation swiftly repairs scratches, while forming a protective layer of hard wax"
    Any ideas on the best way of removing this stuff and starting again??
    I've tried using Meguiar's Wash Plus on it, but it doesn't touch this stuff at all, even after three washes... Any advice welcome.

    Any idea what the complete cure time is for the original Fusso? Never understood why companies decide to "fix" something that isn't broken? I've stocked up on the old formula. Are you still of the opinion that topping Fusso with something like Shinee Wax is a bad idea? Just looking to add some wet depth/gloss to the paint on my GT4.

    • @ForensicDetailing
      @ForensicDetailing  Před 3 lety

      I think its to do with laws around what you can use in the UK or EU. so when fusso is fresh and buzzing I would leave it alone, just wash the car and let the product do its thing. buts after 3-4 months you could use a nice SI02 spray or shine wax, or soft 99 speed barrier on top if you want to boost beading.
      the wet look gloss will come from the physical gloss in the paintwork not the fusso. this is an important rule.

    Luv your vids John and am always hitting the like button. But this one is you sitting too much on the fence. Basically the new product is £11 more expensive and in your admittedly limited tests proved inferior to the old one bar the fragrance. C'mon John call it out!

    • @ForensicDetailing
      @ForensicDetailing  Před 5 lety

      You dont sit on the fence by comparing the new one to the old one and suggesting its more expensive and not as durable... you just announce the new one, show people a few money shots and tell them to go buy it... All the info you need to know about new fusso is in the video. And later on down the line you will see how new fusso compares to other products on the market. Thats how FDC rolls I have no interest in doing anything else, but you also have to conduct yourself professionally when you review things, or else all sorts of lovely crap goes down behind the scenes you dont get to see. I just searched for other reviews, theres some german ones there. Go have a watch and see if any of the negatives I raised where even mentioned?
