- Why is Bo Jackson so Unstoppable in Tecmo Super Bowl | Retro Mysteries -What’s the first thing that comes to mind when you hear the words Tecmo Super Bowl? I’d bet good money it’s Bo Jackson and today I’m gonna tell you why the developers made this athletic juggernaut so unstoppable in this timeless NES classic.

If anyone is old enough to have seen Bo Jackson play, then you would know why he is unstoppable
in this game.
He was fun to watch. A very unique talent.
@@GenerationGapGaming - Do you remember the cartoon "ProStars" with Bo Jackson, Michael Jordan, and Wayne Gretzky? I used to record episodes of it and Captain N: The Game Master on VHS.
I did come across Pro Stars while researching this video, but for whatever reason never watched in back then, but I am sure I would have enjoyed it. I did love Captain N though!
Damn right. Because he was unstoppable in real life.
I'm a Broncos fan and i still had a 34 jersey.
Who else used to drop back 50 yards just to throw a touchdown pass from end zone to end zone .....lol
Real talk!
Or throw that pass with Chicago that has no curve!
lol
anyone remember the NEAR money play on SF 49ers? I think it was Montana to the tight end. He would start up at the bottom and at the snap, the tight end goes straight up and if you pass at the right moment, a defender can never stop it. I wish I knew which play it was.
yep... joe montana to rice. :p
That Family Guy bit was hilarious! So was the Double Dribble one. CORNER 3!
I know right.....Corner 3!!!!! 😂😂
they ripped some youtube guy's video off, then took his video down with copyright strike( the double dribble) . it might be up again though
Double Dribble🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
He also played baseball. Kansas City............Royals. - Joe Swanson
Peter: I won the game and now I'm gonna jump, BO JACKSON!
Lawrence Taylor was the defensive equivalent of Bo Jackson in that game
You are 100% right man. LT was unreal.
Same with Boomer at QB
Bo was not the best, but Montana was the real unstoppable QBs in that game.
Mike singletary
Agreed. I could block almost 75% of extra pointa and closer to 85% on field goal shit downs with LT. Even if you had Bo, I'd win 21-18. 👊😜
I always took the Rams and one season I got the Raiders in the Super Bowl, it was the only game I lost, 49-7, happened almost thirty years ago, ill never forget the helplessness of trying to tackle Bo with Kevin Greene
Or trying to tackle him with anybody, let’s be honest.
Bo Jackson, the OddJob of Tecmo Super Bowl :D
Lol yep!
Also, just like the cheap goal in NHL 95, or the cheap 3 pointer in double dribble... All banned moves in my household growing up.
@@canag0d Kids today look for cheats and want to BUY wins by spending Real Money in a game's market place. They will never understand the honor of fair competition we enjoyed in our generation. We, too, had banned moves, teams, characters, etc., in various games.
Pssh, I'd take the Nigerian Nightmare, Christian Okoye (KC Chiefs) over Bo any day in TSB. Faster, harder, and nigh-on unstoppable if he gets to excellent condition.
@@wrestleswithangels e.g You can't be Tecmo Legend Bob Nelson on defense if you play as Green Bay. Dude is an almost broken monster.
Lawrence Taylor is unstoppable in Tecmo as well. That Giants team can block field goals
Raoul you are right man. LT was the real deal. Pretty much a guaranteed field goal block.
U can do the same with Derek Thomas for the chiefs
U can get so many sacks with Jerry Ball they stop counting them after 113
You could very easily block FG and PATs in the game if you knew the correct strategy. ;)
Raoul Simon yes!
In excellent condition they won't get a punt off
Bo Jackson was a complete freak of nature..A man among boys sometimes even.. Glad I'm old enough to have watched and remembered a truly gifted human being.
I agree completely man
That's why he will live on long after we are all dead, as an unstoppable force in TWO Tecmo Bowl games.
And yet a rather meh NFL player.
What I liked about Bo was that during his high tide he never acted like a fool but remained rather humble and quiet. He let his actions on the field do the talking. I remember playing this-I think Christian Okoye was also a beast fullback also.
He was quiet because he had a stutter lol. I know his pain. Well not the leg pain.
So nobody remembers Kevin Mack RB for the Browns on Tecmo Bowl, he was almost impossible to bring down too
I had completely forgot about that but you are right.
Craig Heyward
@@leeleestonecipher5199 Ironhead was dominant too,I liked Mack better because he was wider in the shoulders
@@mackredsnapper people forget that guy, I only found him on the game because I was tired of my buddy cheesing with Bo (his game he's Bo)so I tried them all I settled on Mack& Okoye, Browns also had Metcalf so I used them more
the new orleans saints kick back was a beats
I'll take Tecmo bowl over madden any day of the week!
Raymond Phillips I wish Tecmo would make a game today to rival Madden. I bet it would sell like hotcakes 🥞 !!!!! I know I would buy it!
Agreed Raymond. Definitely!
What!!!!!!
Madden used to be good. Sad what sports games have become.
Madden blows. It's always been vastly overrated garbage, just like it's namesake's announcing skills.
Christian Okeye, Barry Sanders and Bo Jackson were unstoppable
So was Jerry Rice.
Marcus Allen too.
Sorry to dominate the comments, but if you don't mind just one more-
Have you seen the way that Christian Okoye of the Chiefs is statted on TSB? Take Neal Anderson and Brad Muster, and combine them, and you had a monster of a RB. Jackson may have been the fastest, but Okoye, when played by a person, was a dominant back.
When I was a 20-year-old and this game was out, I had a group of friends of mine that got together for four straight years on New Years' Eve and did an all-night Tecmo Bow War. Each of us picked a team, and we played an entire 16-week season with playoffs and Super Bowl, with the winner getting a small trophy that all of us kicked in to buy. The first year, my friend Jayson had the Kansas City Chiefs, and blew everyone apart by just pounding Okoye over and over. He could do wonders with Okoye, getting out of the way of tackles and barreling over others. He just wrecked me in the AFC Championship game (I had the Oilers), and won the whole thing that year.
It was such a blast. Good times. I'll shut up now; thanks for sharing this.
Okoye was a beast!!! He is known for "popcorning" would be tacklers
Yo!!! That is an awesome Idea! I would do that today!
@T 23 Just make sure you have a lot of energy drinks and Stackers. I'm 47 this year (will be 48 in September) and I doubt I could make it past midnight if we did something like this today. But under the right circumstances, I just might- MIGHT- do so!
It was some good times. I don't buy into the "Good Old Days" mentality that many have, but that is one thing I definitely fondly remember and would do again!
@@lonniecraig5186 If you couldn't make it past midnight you need to see a doctor.
LOL! Good point! Nah, I enjoy my sleep today!
First thing that comes to my mind when I hear Techmo Super Bowl is Lawrence Taylor.
Okoye Deion
Wait it isn't "down set hut hut hut hut hut hut"
OMG.... bro he had like 9 sacks on me one game....I cried like a baby!
@@rosecapitalgroupinc Pssh, easy money. Try the monster that is Bob Nelson from the Green Bay Packers, Nose Tackle. Nine sacks a game is awfully low. You should get 200 a season, easily.
They may not have aimed for reality, but they created the most realistic simulated version of Bo Jackson possible.
Bo Jackson was a meh NFL player. He wasn't even in the remote category as Barry Sanders or Emmitt Smith. Barry and Emmitt were amazing, world-class, all-time running backs and Bo Jackson was just crap.
Luv these games...one trick some may not know for the Tecmo Super Bowl , which was the 2nd of these games, was when you controlled the nose guard on defense and immediately hit dive at the snap of the ball..depending on ability of said nose tackle it would be consecutive sacks or tfls at nauseam to the guy you were playin 😂😂😂
This was made back when Bo was the man and the NFL didn’t suck like today!!! Bo and Walter were fun to play in Tecmo
Tecmo bowl had real player names.
Brendan you are 100% right! I guess I had a Mandela effect with the original where I have recently just played the original tecmo bowl on the classic and I was totally convinced they didn't have the names back in the day either lol. My mistake dude. I try my best to get it 100% right but I botched that one. Thanks for being cool about it.
GenerationGapGaming all good. I enjoyed your video. Keep up the good work!
But your video shows missing names and just numbers for the OG tecmo. And that was never the case. The names were always in the upper corners AND on the playcall screen. How did you eliminate the names for your clip?
kliqster8 has stats as well if I remember correctly
Amerikan Graffiti Tales of the Train Yard no tecmo super bowl did. I’m asking about missing names on the original tecmo bowl.
The first Tecmo bowl had real license players. Hell Bo Jackson is in the first Tecmo bowl.
Love the videos.
I mean we all knew it was Bo Jackson in the first one but they could only use the numbers and the teams were just based on the cities, not the official NFL teams. Tecmo Super Bowl is where it all really came together. Thanks for commenting!
@@GenerationGapGaming
You know what? Your absolutely right. I detract my comment. Have a good one. 😅
@Ryan Nelson Wow Ryan you are right! I guess I had a Mandela effect with the original where I have recently just played the original tecmo bowl on the classic and I was totally convinced they didn't have the names back in the day either lol. My mistake dude. I try my best to get it 100% right but I botched that one. Thanks for being cool about it.
@@GenerationGapGaming
No biggie. I kinda felt like an ass telling you. Did not want to be that guy on CZcams always trying to correct people. I just appreciate research video's like yours. Thanks again .
We shall see dude lol......
Ya Bo Jackson was good but anyone who owned the game knows that CHRISTIAN OKOYE was the real shit.
Okoye was like a Mack truck for sure. Thanks for commenting man.
Hell yea Christian Okoye was the shit!
Nigerian Nightmare, he used to bounce players off too. But he was slow.
Fucking defensive players would literally fly off Okoye! You could get some of that action with Otis Anderson on the G-men and Neil Anderson from da Bears, but no one exploded defensive players like Okoye!
Tom Rathman
Best Football game ever made
I have to agree man!
Ehhh don’t know about that.
Ummm, maybe because Bo Jackson was totally unstoppable when he played in real life.
Bo was amazing! One of the best RB's I've ever seen play the game, period. He cut through the defense like a knife through hot butter. Just crazy! And very impressive!
He was unreal to watch. You couldn't look away. Natural talent for sure.
@@GenerationGapGaming
He really was. Too bad his career was cut so short. A legend for sure.
Christian Okoye was another dominant back in the game
LT was a fucking greek GOD of nature......only counter to bo some of the time.......
I always used Okoye. loved how the entire defense bounced off him
@@nunyabiz76 100 power does that, apparently, in Tecmo Bowl.
Popcorn city.
I like to think of Christian Okoye as the combination of Neal Anderson and Brad Muster. Good speed, massive power. He was a beast in that game.
I’ve got screenshots using Bo where I got 10-12 touchdowns with 700-800 yards per game. Guy was the real beast mode!
Amazing Content!!! As a 40 year old that grew up playing the NES this really resonates with me!!! This channel needs more subscribers!!! Good Stuff!!!
Add Tecmo Super Bowl Deion Sanders to the list. Dude was unstoppable in the right hands.
Speaking of Barry Sanders... I knew a dude who was the starting running back at OSU back in the day. He was pushed to second string by Thurman Thomas, and then pushed to third string when Barry Sanders came to OSU. The dude I knew ended up enlisting in the Army and retired as Master Sergeant Mitch Nash.
im amazed at the level of details and accurate stats you were able to provide for this game. great job!
No one also talks about how Lawrence Taylor can get about 10 sacks a game playing against the computer. Plus, Jerry rice was unstoppable in the game. He would make all the catches regardless of whether he was covered or not. I still remember his 2 handed jump catches for touchdown.
All kinds of players can get 10 sacks (or more) a game playing against the computer. I still play Super Tecmo Bowl and I can rack up hundreds of sacks with Steve Emtman over a season.
it's Lawrence Taylor, actually. That game is the reason I became a Giants fan.
LT was a force to be reckoned with in TSB. Thanks for commenting man.
Ya this game was basically Bo Jackson, the 49ers, and LT. The 49ers and Giants were the only teams that had a chance against the Raiders.
actually its walter payton
Same reason for me to
Same, giants fan since the first techno bowl.
Sir, the things that you found out for this video is appreciated. My all time fav game when I was younger and I found this video to be awesome. Thank you for the content
I love this channel and anything dealing with the NES because damn ! It hits the nostalgia feelings like a truck ! I have so many great memories with this . Staying up all night with my cousin trying to make it to the super bowl ! ...I don’t think we ever did actually .
Christian Okoye on the Chiefs was unstoppable as heck also.
Dude he really was. He just popcorned people off him like a Mack truck
Sure was! Dude was running over People like road kill.. 😂😂😂😂
I was about to comment about Okoye! Made my Pops so pissed off every time we played. 😂
I saw Christian Okoye at my school once
My brother and I had one rule when playing each other: neither could be the Chiefs
Thurman Thomas was my favorite running back in this game for the Bill's what about him.
He was awesome. The Bills as a team were really stacked in this game too.
He could run and catch better than most receivers. Whata weapon
@Joshua De Nunzio or the 49ers, Eagles, or Giants.
What about the Patriots, where the backup QB was better than the starter? Hell yeah!
Loved the Bills too. Andre Reed, Bruce, Lofton, Beebe!
Loved the video...bo was a beast. Subscribed!
Great vid, wish it was longer!
Let me make this clear, this was a time without internet and "cheese plays" you can find all over the web in today's sports games. If you discovered something that works on your buddy or brother you did that on your own! Tecmo bowl was the cream of the crop for sports games on the NES, you didn't need to be a football fan to have so much fun playing! BO was a beast on that game but I use to pick the 49ers my brother the Raiders, we both got the best of each other! What memories👍 great throwback as always!
Great comment! 49ers and raiders is a pretty fair matchup honestly. Jerry Rice was no joke.
As unstoppable as the Raiders run game was, the 49ers pass game was just as unstoppable.
Sorry, but while I love TSB with all my heart, it's got a good amount of cheese in it. There is a reason TSB competitions don't allow people to choose the NT on defense.
If you picked the same play it was automatically a blitz! I love techno super bowl it was the best
Who remember John Elway football ball on nes that reverse was serious
G3 bringing sports science into the retro game scene! Nice job!
Thanks Slappy. I tried my best lol
When I was in college we used to play the original version and keep stats on paper. Many a fight broke out over that game. Then the new version came out and we all thought we died and went to heaven. Best video game ever.
Sterling Sharpe is a hidden gem on a bad team, almost as good as rice.
Let’s not forget the trio of receivers on the Oilers.
Sterling Sharpe was about as good as rice at the time
The rams had Ellard and the Flipper, did a 16-0 season only passing, was not dissappointed
@@db-hj9cu that's a very good point
LT and Reggie white are unstoppable on defense. LT can survey the entire field and disrupt every play. Reggie gets to opposing QBs at ease. Oh and Randall Cunningham is best qb if you incorporate shotgun and qb draws.
This is one of my all time favorite games for any system! I played this game literally thousands of times! When Bo was reached excellent condition, you didn’t need to zig and zag...
Another great video. Keep it up man!
Thanks so much Darrick. Really appreciate the encouragement man.
Warren Moon was also fun to play with. 100 yard TD's every time.
To Jefferies
@@beatsinmycrates
Yeah Jeffires looked so good drafted outta of NC State that they made him good in the game too. Too bad it took him 2 years to mature in the NFL and then he got plagued by injuries.
I liked using the 49ers, raiders was good though bo jackson , marcus allen & tim brown.
Great video!
Way back in the day I used to be Bo Jackson's waiter regularly at a restaurant in the west suburbs of Chicago. Nicest dude you ever met, very much to himself but always nice. Whenever he order the Ahi Tuna Salad, I modified it "Bo Knows" so the kitchen knew he liked his Tuna extra rare.
I started to get to know him and I asked him about Tecmo Bowl and even he admitted how ridiculous it was for him to be that good. The guy was nothing but class.
Randall Cunningham with the Eagles was unstoppable
He was amazing man. He could do it all for sure.
Qb eagles is dominant best overall qb in game imo
You mean QB Eagles
@Scarlett Eviternety since u say that i will now tell the story.... I was in a huge tournament up in cleveland i was winning against the raiders in the 4th quarter up 17 to 14 im driving and qb eagles fumbles its returned for a td. I went deep to fred barnett he caught it at the 5 and time ran out lost in the finals i was saaaalty

Now Bo isn't the only great Tecmo Super Bowl player. I have other favorites as well like LT. Who were some of your favorites? Thanks for watching!!!
He's in both of them dude. I promise.
GenerationGapGaming true. Great work
Thanks man. Glad you enjoyed it.
GenerationGapGaming Jerry Ball for the Lions. Ridiculous amount of sacks.
Christian Okoye was a beast in the original Tecmo Bowl, LT was awesome too, but my fav all around team was the bears. I didn't play Tecmo Super Bowl until I was an adult, it is obviously much better.
Tecmo Bowl taught me the rules of football. I was way too ADD to learn them from anything else. Those two NES games were legendary and Bo Jackson is one of my favorite sports dudes of all time. Great video!
Dope video! Subscribed!!!
Thanks Duane. Welcome to G3 man!
“YAY Bo Jackson !” *peter voice*
Lol
Jerry Rice was uncoverable! 😂
Been missing your material. You the man!
Hey man! Great to see you again. Glad you enjoyed the video.
The 23 thumbs down must be the guys who didnt get the raiders!
Lol. Great comment!
Lol. Great comment!
I never used the Raiders, I was a Colts fan so I usually used them but if not them I used the Dolphins just because Marino was my favorite QB and they had 3 pass plays. He was great in TB.
Pick all Bo plays 🤷🏽♂️ Easy to stop the Raiders
I wish this one was in the nes classic instead of the first Tecmo bowl. I was wondering why I wasn’t seeing player names.... I used to have the gameboy version and it had player names.
On the NES Tecmo Bowl did have the player names, but Nintendo didn't have the NFLPA license to include them on the NES classic. The NFL license and the NFLPA license are probably the reasons they couldn't use Tecmo Super Bowl unfortunately.
Nice work here!
"It's like your controller was down the whole time" lmao Favorite football game to this day!!!
Deion Sanders had a 75 max speed too
Eagles was option pass outlet every play go AU!
Rod woodson too
Nobody was allowed to pick the Raiders
Exactly! You were no longer invited if you picked the Raiders lol.
No one in our group picked the Raiders because all you had to do was key on Bo to win. There passing game and defense sucked.the best teams in that game were the Giants, Sf, and Buff
I loved Bo Jackson back in the day. I still have that black and white card you pictured in my collection. That and the Jose Canseco card were up there in my collection.
Seen lotta vids about Tecmo Bo.....but this was best. Good job
Wow man thanks so much! Really means a lot.
And in actuality, i always picked the Eagles simply because Randall Cunningham!!
AKA QB Eagles. Double threat.
He was a beast! Throw/run? Not sure, yet!
Any man that can break a bat over his head like a twig, deserves to get 6 more points over anyone else in a video game, just off that alone...
@Matthew Gillis and ya know steroids.
Loved the vid bud! Keep it up!
Thanks Adam. Really appreciate you taking time to comment some great feedback.
They created Bo Jackson to do circles around defensive players in tecmo super bowl. It was awesome to grow up in the 80's and 90's playing as Bo Jackson destroying your brothers and cousins in tecmo super bowl. Fights broke out and mom would unplug the AC adapter straight out of the outlet socket.
Should've just titled the game,
"Bo's Bowl."
he did have his own baseball game on nes "Bo Jackson Baseball"
I love when I play someone who picks the raiders in tecmo bowl... cuz all I do on defense is pick run 1, run 1, run 1, and take bo out COMPLETELY, and the rest of the raiders sucks...
Ps, the original NES tecmo bowl did habe licensing. Cuz I never had tecmo super bowl, only original tecmo bowl, and I learned about players like John offerdahl and Eric bentley, and bears return man Gentry, cuz of that game...
It's when u play it on Wii virtual or whatever, that for some reason they take the names out
You can get a pass play to bo jackson also. At least that's the way it is in the tecmo bowl. I'm not sure about super tecmo bowl.
Hey dude. How've you been? Yeah for whatever reason I had only played the original Tecmo Bowl on the NES classic recently and they removed the player names and I guess I had a Mandela effect and forgot the original cartridge version did have the names but not the real team names. Thats my bad and I will own up to it.
Then that opponent is an idiot for not giving Bo all four run plays by changing the playbook.
MAsterr Serch exactly💯💯💯...I did the same thang and the Raiders were pretty easy to beat!!
Great video my friend!
Thanks so much Jimmy!
I really enjoy the concept, depth of research and fellow southern twang. Oddly soothing haha Good stuff bro. Roll tide. I like you're getting outside the box.
Thanks so much Josh. Glad you enjoy the new retro mysteries idea. I think it will make for some fun and focused videos.
@@GenerationGapGaming for sure bro. For sure. God bless. Best of luck.
Not much of a mystery. Same reason Emmit Smith was unstoppable in Madden ‘94 and TO was the same in madden ‘01. Don’t know if they still have those type of players but all old football games use to have them
In TSB... bills were the real deal. From jim kelly (aka BILLS QB 10) to beebe and reed, and Thurman Thomas, that coat hanger and flea flicker was death to defenses.
Dont forget Bruce Smith, Cornelius Bennett and Ray Bentley on defense. I cant tell you how many sacks and blocked field goals i had with Ray.
PApro everyone always talks about bo in reference to TSB... Buffalo was that real shit tho. Only situation in history, where that’s a fact
QB Bills lol
Awesome video man! And you are absolutely correct, as soon as someone mentions Tecmo Bowl, I think of Bo Jackson!
Thanks so much man!
Easy way to counter BO was to pick his play every time and you pick a LB..let the team all rush in while you cover the middle..BO gets stopped the whole game while you cover the pass..that was my defense whenever I play against him..
Keep in mind that he only had 1 play the other one was to marcus allen
Yep you could do that in the original Tecmo Bowl for sure. It got a little tougher in TSB cause the plays were a little more complex but if you are good at the game you can contain Bo to some extent. Thanks for commenting.
My favorite athlete of all time
Bo was unbelievable! Thanks for taking time to comment man!
Awesome video
I still play Tecmo Supebowl whenever hardcore fans update with the latest teams and stats! ; D
When Bo was "Excellent," his speed was actually 88.
I thought it was 94
Bo Jackson was an incredible baseball/football player. This game is a masterpiece.
It really is a masterpiece and Bo was one of a kind. Such a shame he got injured.
GenerationGapGaming I know can you imagine?
The Nintendo version is really good but it's nowhere near as good as the Super Nintendo version. Super Tecmo Bowl is a lot better with no screen flicker, you can do touchbacks, etc. It's the best version of Tecmo Bowl ever made. I can't even play the original anymore and the NES version of Tecmo SB is really primitive.
They could have just updated the rosters on Super Tecmo Bowl and I would have continued to buy it. It's still one of my favorite games and I play it all the time.
I remember those days boy ....... if you didn’t have BO on your team back then, you may have well just given up before you even started playing the game. Thanks for another amazing video Tyler.
Welcome dude. Bo was the man for sure.
Bo knows Tecmo Super Bowl - great video!!
Bo is awesome until he comes up against Lawrence Taylor. He is the one who can't be stopped
LT was no joke. That is for sure!!!!

Yooo Tyler my man... u know I love this particular video of yours... well on Facebook, people are doing their "list 10 athletes/singers/actors/etc. that you loved growing up watching" and my buddy started with Bo Jackson... then someone commented witj the FAMILY GUY clip of Bo running wild in Tecmo Bowl.... so i immediately replied with THIS video to show him, cuz its a great breakdown of why he is such a nightmare to play against (unless u use my ALWAYS PICK RUN 1 DEFENSE strategy lol)....
So I just wanted some brownie points and let u know i shared this video (and encouraged to sub lol)...
Hope all is well and you and the family are safe during these crazy times my man!
Omg. Im watching this because i still love this game so much and besides on original NES i have downloaded it on every NES system it was offered on. Great video. Also....Blades of Steel is still my fave hockey game....those games were just that good. Totally fun
Unfortunately the numbers presented are a decent amount off. I’ve reversed engineered the whole game. A 75 ms straight line 40 time takes 5.4 seconds. A 69 ms 40 takes 5.6 seconds. Bo would only be 3 yards ahead of Barry on a full 100 yd td run.
That's why I said my estimations weren't exact science lol. Thanks for sharing your work though. Hope you enjoyed the video
I had success with Walter Payton... Never knew about this
Same Bears was my team also
I never got interested in these games as a kid but your videos always make me interested in playing games I never played. I might have to give this one a shot when I get a chance.👍

Well any hardcore player knows Nigerian nightmare is better.
The Nigerian Nightmare KC. Players used to bounce off him too, he just was slow. Christian Okoyae
He was 'slow' because he always had 3 guys hanging off of him. Look up his sprint times he was an amazing athlete.
As great as Bo is in the game, nothing beats Montana to Rice.
They were quite the force to be reckoned with too.
Ya I was raiders and my older brother was 49s and man that combo was unstoppable
QB EAGLES? To himself
Riggan Rose Insert Steve Young and there is very little drop off going to Rice and Taylor.

How to "stop" Bo Jackson in Tecmo Super Bowl:
Be the Philadelphia Eagles. Offense for offense. QB Eagles aka Randall Cunningham is a juggernaut, in his own right. Defense for the Eagles has Bob Golic, who can lurch and stop any run up the middle. Lurching is often deemed "illegal." If thats the case, simply use Reggie White as your defensive player.
Bob Golic = MVP of Tecmo lol
Randall Cunningham is great in that game for sure man!!
Bob Golic played for the Raiders. You're thinking of Mike Golic
You brought back a lot of great memories with this video. You should tackle the NHL games on Sega Genesis.
NHL 96 was my favorite although the cheesy side shot made the game frustrating against friends.
Hi Tyler, Patron supporter here. I'm not really interested in sport games, but your video was very interesting! Thanks for sharing!

Tecmo Bowl on NES did indeed have the real players. Tecmo Bowl on the NES Classic doesn't. It's ok though, I still enjoy your vids bro.
Wow Chris you are right! I guess I had a Mandela effect with the original where I have recently just played the original tecmo bowl on the classic and I was totally convinced they didn't have the names back in the day either lol. @@GenerationGapGaming no problem, glad I found your channel.
They probably would have to get individual players permission instead of dealing with the players association. Would cost alot of $.
I just ported Techmo Super Bowl onto my NES Classic....I’ll have to see if Super Bowl uses the players names
They had the real players and Cities, but the mascot of the teams were all jacked up
Bo was OP in that game but the rest of the Raiders sucked so it was kind of a wash.
