    Been using the X2 to do Uber Eats deliveries since summer 2019.
    My front right wheel had a problem. They sent me another one for free.
    The batterie stopped working for unknown reason. They sent me another one for free.
    I would expect a 1500$ board not to have those problems, but free replacement is fair enough.
    Other than that, I absolutely love the board.
    I highly recommend it.
    Not sure sure if the price is right but I'm a happy customer.

    6:26 the problem with showing percentages only is that it isn't entirely accurate if you just want to do it the cheap way. The voltage of your battery fluctuates whilst braking/accelerating, which is what most hobbywing ESC board manufacturers use to indicate the battery percentage (and for a lot of DIY builders like myself) Exway is the only company who got a workaround since they're partially owned by hobbywing themselves, so they're given more privileges compared to other brands.

    • @evtechsteven
      @evtechsteven  Před 3 lety

      My Exway flex battery percentage is actually really stable

    • @stealther1401
      @stealther1401 Před 3 lety

      @@evtechsteven Yeah that's what I'm saying, other than exway, no hobbywing boards have stable battery percentage displays.

  • @stealther1401
    @stealther1401 Před 3 lety +1

    1:58 Increase in Wh capacity does not dictate the increase in range. Sure it relates, but other factors such as energy conversion efficiency on both the ESC and the motors (how much heat is generated less compared to the previous generation) also contribute to the increase in range.

  • @JD-co4hx
    @JD-co4hx Před 3 lety +2

    Most boards that use the flat pack style of the battery have a lot more range. I hope a long-range version is an option in the future. Not much of an improvement for such a drastic change.

    Im for the Ranger beltdrive with pneumatic tires. 🤩 Imagine that. I asked Backfire about this they currently have no plans to go belt drive. That AT2 is nice though. I'm considering.

  • @TheJoshchef
    @TheJoshchef Před 3 lety +1

    It needs a better instruction manual or links to videos with details for installing the mudguards and lights. What is the function of the part on the top front of the board?

  • @YourFactotum
    @YourFactotum Před 3 lety +2

    They already announced mud guards for the Ranger line, so that’s an easy win.
    What I’d like to see (and I don’t actually see an easy solution for this) is an easier method for removing and replacing the bearings. It’s much too easy to strip the little hex bolts holding the wheel covers in place.
    I’d also like to see a fairly high waterproof rating, as I use my Ranger X2 as a daily commuter. Especially coupled with fenders, this thing would be a beast.

    • @YourFactotum

      @@mpgreenberg I am actually interested in the X3 because it is hub as well. I love how quiet my current hub is. Less people looking, less attention. I relax more knowing I'm not being intrusive... and i like hearing the sound of the wind lol. Same reason I like the Tesla Model S. A friend of mine has one, and that 0-60 mph in 2.4 seconds completely silent is so satisfying compared to the loud mufflers on much slower cars.
