I couldn’t help but picture everything in your house having a spoiler mounted to it. Toaster, Refrigerator, Microwave, Dog….lol. What is the cool light ring on your back? I saw the same thing in your zealot X review video and I would also not like to get hit by a car at night:) I got my zealot X last week and it’s just as impressive in person. The remote alone sets the gold standard for Eskating in my opinion.

The slow initial acceleration is probably a good thing. Better if it’s an option for the rider. The disc hub motors is interesting too. Love the red highlight and LED!

The price seems a little steep considering you can buy a verreal RS pro for $400 less, and that board has similar batter/motor specs to the X5. That said, they are two very different boards, so I guess it would really come down to your riding style. The Ranger definitely wins in terms of looks though, and I do prefer flex decks.
It looks a lot better than the X3 in my opinion and I actually dig the wing a little bit
It is an X3 updated with a new LED deck, programmable remote and ESC.
The spoiler looks like a safety concern.
Having the red accent show even during the day is such a nice touch, more companies should prioritze this imo

The idea of the flex deck and hub motors in offroad setting is very interesting. The only issue i have is the DKP trucks for offroading isnt ideal. I really love DKP on the street but this board is intended for offroad and thats where it shines.
It takes about 8 minutes to turn it into a TKP by removing the centre pin section.
What backpack has that red ring LED?
You make that board belt drive with a bit more battery and bit less expensive and it would be Perfect 👌

Love backfire, but hubs and lack of ability to swap to any wheels is a hard pass. I wish we got the flex deck on the zealots tho. I miss the bounce

Nice review and the camera work was great. I think this board fits an interesting niche, I just think its overpriced. Someone explain to me why the $800 Meepo Auora is more powerful, belt driven, with brighter LED's and this thing is $1200? I'm not saying they are directly comparable, but I think Backfire is being greedy with their margin on this board.
Or, you could get a Propel Endeavor2 S with full suspension, a bigger battery, more powerful motors, high end pneumatic wheels and tires, for $100 less than this board. Why is this board worth $1200 in today's market?

Great review as always. Board looks great but backfire keep shipping weak ass batteries, beef em up or give us a charger that can 0-100 in an hour or less. Also… how are you not freezing ya nuts off riding in that snow 😂

Maxfind doesn’t have red LEDs. This is the whole point of the X5.

I think Backfire skipped over Ranger X4 because there will be a four hub wheel drive comming. The last Ranger was X3. Why else skip X4.
4 is an unlucky # in china so they are skipping over it
but the hub motors make it a no deal. no replacing wheels. that price exceeds the Wowgo AT2. its the worst choice with lesser specs
