- Shaun Of The Dead (2004) SYNOPSIS: Shaun (Simon Pegg) is a 30-something loser with a dull, easy existence. When he's not working at the electronics store, he lives with his slovenly best friend, Ed (Nick Frost), in a small flat on the outskirts of London. The only unpredictable element in his life is his girlfriend, Liz (Kate Ashfield), who wishes desperately for Shaun to grow up and be a man. This is actually some class filmmaking from Edgar Wright. Earlier in the film he goes to the shop on a regular day, and that guy is just doing a morning jog. Absolutely hilarious this guy is pelting it

Edgar Wright actually said there was no blood,just shows how good of an actor Simon Pegg is if he can fake a slip!
@@alexdevine9713 And you can even see there's no blood like 3 seconds later right before the camera pans to the lack of newspapers. I almost think that was ad lib and they kept it because it was such a good little extra detail.
Now these are the zombies I can live with to survive in a zombie apocalypse.

They did a perfect job before this showing how his life normally is and how this wasn't any different
I've literally watched this like 2 months ago and i was like "Hmm Why don't i Just check it again" and here i am laughing to this cuz i didn't watch it from beginning lol.
I imagine that's cos he's already a zombie. Trundling through life with no real purpose. And later in the film, we see zombies can't distinguish people pretending to be zombies from actual zombies

Scene would’ve been better if you could see the pool of blood behind him and blood on his soles when he puts his feet up when he’s watching the telly. Still, I love this scene. 😆😂🤣

In the shop, when the music stops (around 1:17) and a man (or reporter?) starts speaking in Hindi,he's reporting that " We interrupt this program ---- we have just received horrific news that the dead are rising from their graves and attacking the living and they are eating---(didn't quite get this bit. possible eating the living)"

If it wasn't blood it had to be something with a weird texture because of the sound, anyway it was mistake, funny and cool one, but a mistake.
Nothing indicated that and nothing about the sound made it sound like 'blood' if that is even a thing.

The song in the food store was in hindi and the warning given in news in the store was also in hindi . It was " mare hue log apne kabro se waapis aakar jindi logo ko kha rahe hai " which ing english means that the dead people are rising from their graves and are eating the living people .

The great part is that this mirrors an earlier scene where he does the exact same thing the day before, with all the zombies still people.
When I' m 13, my English teacher showed me this movie. It didn't have subtitles and I couldn't understand what they say. But it was very hilarious. It is still my favorite zombie movie.

I love how he walks to the shop and back in the middle of a Zombie apocalypse and doesn't catch any of the clues: the shopping cart, the broken windshield on the car, the man running away from something, the blood stains on the refrigerator door, the slow zombies and the dead guy in front of his door step.
Nowadays, the scene could have been brought to perfection had he been on his smartphone the entire time.
This scene is so great that I can't describe ...this shows routine in our life....how we are habitual with our surroundings ....or in another words how we are slave of habits...

The only good product placement in movies
The best part about this, is that it is EXACTLY the same scene as from earlier in the movie before the zombie outbreak. Including details of Shaun stumbling over the pavement and picking the second can of coke. This scene is also shot in one go and from the same angle.
