My bed is between the sink and the living room TV, surrounded by cardboard. It looks like an indoor homeless encampment. I've tried getting a job at a warehouse, but the blasting TV behind my pillow everynight was keeping me from sleeping, and I couldn't even stay awake at work while packing boxes. Why, do you really think the medical professionals don't know at all what they're doing, just because your parents would have took you there won't mean you would have got on hormones, for the NHS the percentage to trans diagnosis is about 4% of all the kids that are send to the Dr questioning their gender.

@@kateofone I would say it depends. I was aware of me being trans (although I didn't know about the term) since kindergarden. That feeling never vanished. I came out at 11/12, presented as a boy since I was 13, got testosterone at 15 and I am now over 20 years old. I would say that children whose feeling has lasted over a decade are most likely really trans. But if children only feel that way for just a few months/years I would be against medical transitioning until they are 18 as well.

Most conservatives I meet these days aren't as histrionic as the conservatives that came out at the height of the Bush Era/Moral Majority/Dittohead era. There's been a weird merging of older conservatives who have mellowed out and are willing to have open and earnest discussions - and liberals who have been branded as conservative by the current day histrionics of the left. People talk about how the schism in politics is driving us apart, and while that's true, it's also done a lot to drive people together who all share the commonality of being sick and tired of this shit and are looking for a better way.

Because who decides what acceptance is? Most of us just don't think we should treat trans people any differently from everyone else, which means that when they act stupid and/or malicious we have no qualms in calling them out. We also get pretty fed up with even minor criticisms and statements of fact being painted over as "transphobia" and "hate". I'm sure you'll find the least accepting people among the trans activists. After all, in there eyes everyone who disagrees with them is a nazi, and a trans women are no different biologically than non-trans women. Blaire is one of the few trans activists out there who actually accepts herself as trans rather than magically being the other sex.

That's why I spend more time with non-human animals than with humans. When animals seem "mean" or "hateful", there's almost always a reason, either medical or psychological (or a combination of both) and often that's something I can work with them to overcome, so they're happier and less "mean".
I adopted one nervous little Chihuahua who took two years, and a course of meds, to calm down and become so much happier and less-triggery. ("How to raise a puppy you can live with" is a book that helped a lot; and no, I didn't write it and I don't know the author.)
But humans, though -- I don't understand humans. 🤷🏾♀️
Probably because I'm on the spectrum and most humans don't understand me either.

Having transitioned myself in 2002 I can honestly say that you don't transition, but revert to what you should have been in the first place & get rid of a birth defect. So, in fact, she & many others didn't "change sex" because she was never male to start with. Seen from that angle everything makes perfect sense...
