    Dr. Lee has a nice day. Thank you so much for all the videos you shared with us. Honestly, every time I have free time I never forget to check updates on your uploaded videos. Hopefully, you have also discussions about the topic and different types of comments. Because I see this sometimes it could bring misunderstanding among some of our higher-ups. Sometimes we bring our opinion based on our observations just to let them know the real situations but they see our comments as "objections" which for me it's not precisely what it is meant to be.

    Today’s eyes opener was learning that the other people at a meeting are there for a reason, other than attendance. It’s in my interest to find out why by connecting with with them and learning what about a topic pains them, pleasures them and how they want to contribute to it.

    Hello Dr. Lee, I have watched a lot of your videos. I wanted to share a feedback. You are a great communicator and you articulate very well. You also have great concepts to share regarding communication. However, the "how" aspect of how to bring those to life for your audience can be improved upon through more simplication. I'd suggest to break the concepts further in more simpler terms with real life examples on how to execute. Thank you.

    what happened in my region, people just have a bias toward someone that speaks with an accent, if you can speak a US/UK accent, people will perceived you to be smarter and more intelligent.
    I was once asked to be replaced in a project that I have not even started, just because the client prefers a European consultant to work on the project... worst form of discrimination...

    My problem with meetings is 1) difficult to make an entry with my points. So many people would be waiting to jump in that I never get a chance 2) somehow I manage to speak up, I get easily overriden and others takeover. Any advice would help.

    Thank you for your great video. Can you pls make one about how to learn English effectively? Your English is awesome. I'm just curious if you are living in America? How did you study English and how long did it take you to be that fluent?

    • @DrGraceLee
      @DrGraceLee  Pƙed 3 lety +4

      My focus is more on communicating effectively, get your point across, and persuade others to take action. I don't focus on learning English. I am originally from Hong Kong and now I am living in America. I started learning English during elementary school. I studied it by the books with an ESL teacher. Even during college I wasn't that good at speaking or writing English. I really started to be good at speaking when I hired a speaker coach who taught me how to speak from the stage. I learned from various coaches over the course of several years.
