Bertie a character.
R.i.p Mr Auld.
I am not a football fan and only clicked on this because Jim Craig lived along the road from me during that time and the all the kids around used to visit him, me included, he was very welcoming and friendly.
That was a very interesting discussion and what lovely people they all are, and what a great achievement. Nice to see Jim has the intelligence and Bertie has the passion, a great combination.
Wee Bertie is just MAGIC. What a legend. P S Jim Craig too.
Legends. Let's appreciate.
Thanks
2 Spanish teams played in the last 31 teams of the europian cup Real Madrid and athetico Madrid Only 4 teams had ever won the europian cup befor celtic
Thanks for the wonderful memories celtic
I agree with Bertie - the three World class players in that 67 team were Gemmell , Murdoch , and Johnstone . All three could have played for any team at that time . Bertie was right about the Simpson back heel , it happened during the first half .
What is ashame is these guys aren't living the dream with millions in the bank. Remeber back then England sent 8 of there best up and all the time celtic brough the coronation cup to Glasgow its a team to behold
Great times when money was'nt King.Talent Teamwork good Training and maybe not Tactics but greater effort was. Passion and togetherness with the top Celtic support.
@Uncle Gilbert Celtic had more money than most in Scotland not in Europe
Bertie is superb and celtic daft.
Hilarious and a legend and a great player of the Lisbon Lions Celtic Football Club. The first British team to win the European cup now known as the Champions League 🍀 HAIL HAIL.. You'll never walk alone.
Great to hear Bertie's memories, sad that those memories are being cruelly taken from him by dementia.
I don't think it was unbelievable, they were clearly the best team in Europe at that time, they won everything that season and rightly so, RIP to our lost Lions 👏🍀💚
