“Within 30 Miles of Celtic Park”: Remembering Celtic’s Lisbon Lions’ European Cup Triumph
In 1967, Celtic FC shocked the world as they became the first British team to make the European Cup final, and in doing so, the first British team to win the European Cup (Champions League). This historic achievement was made all the more impressive when you account for the fact that every single player on that squad was born within 30 miles of Celtic Park (Parkhead). A truly local team. A team of Glaswegians on top of the football world. This video remembers Jock Stein, Celtic, and the Lisbon Lions.

Its maybe even more incredible than that because Celtic's competitors were assembled from the best all over the world. Don't understand it at all but its by far the most mind blowing achievement in football in my opinion.
As much as I still love it, it does put football in the modern day into perspective. Multimillion pound businesses doing what they should, when they win a trophy.

Excellent video , great job Adrian. FYI Lisbon Lion Jim Craig lives near where I live. I often see him at the local post office etc. I have chatted to him a few times,he's a very amiable, and approachable gentleman. I feel very lucky to have a Celtic FC football legend as a neighbour and such a genuinely down to earth and charming one at that. Hail Hail COYBIG 🍀

That team will NEVER be equaled. FIRST British team to conquer Europe. FIRST non-Latin team to conquer Europe. This was done in an era which regarded non-Latin winners as just about impossible. All this done with a team arranged from players within a few miles of the stadium.
