As if you couldn’t love Bertie any more…. Here he is… part of the family 🍀
A great player and a good man
Sad times respect to the auld man 🔴⚪🔵 and all the Celtic family 💙
Respect John.
Well said John.. 👏
He never forgotten his roots. unlike some of the other modern day players. HH Bertie our very own 10 30.
Met Bertie at Celtic Park after the Celtic v Livingstone match, my husband Brendan was a Celtic fan and this was my first time at a match, with our daughter Sarah, who used to go with her Dad. Bertie was just as I expected a lovely man, a true Legend, and so kind.
I have just read that Mr Bertie Auld has passed away.I’m in my 40s so I wasn’t able to see the best of him live on the park but I grew up idolising the bhoys and the 1967 team in particular. My dad was lucky to see that group playing and his stories he told me never got old and Bertie grew into more of a legend as the years went on,off the park as much as on.His whole life was Celtic and I have never met a man who had a bad word to say about him.As I Reminisce here with four fingers of Jameson I must say I’d love to share this moment with my dad but instead I’ll spend it with all the bhoys and ghirls out there when I say….God bless Bertie Auld,…A terrific player and Ambassador to Celtic and friend to everyone he ever met.
RIEP BERTIE 🍀🇮🇪you’ll never walk alone🇮🇪🍀 HAIL HAIL THE TUNNEL 😢
I am 63 and I saw the Best Team in the world I was so very lucky RIP Bertie you were one of a kind 🙏🙏🙏💚☘💚🍀💚YNWA 💚☘💚🍀💚
Class act,,Great human being.
Such sad news to hear wee Bertie is not in the best of health he is a pure gentleman and a legend some player and an amazing character 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏💚
My Mum has met Bertie a few times at Celtic match day hospitality. She always enjoys his company. They have mutual friends in Johnstone and he always makes a point of coming over, spending time asking after people. Not a Celtic fan, but you always appreciate people who take the time to shoot the breeze.
Keep Right On!.....from the 60s also a BCFC legend,....we never won the FA cup though, it was the league Cup we beat that lot from down the road! but the F.A. cup is on the bucket list...
One of the best. He'll be missed.
My favourite Lisbon Lion. Ballsy, skilful - and what a character. RIP Bertie. The game is poorer for your passing.
Bertie was the man. Classic.
Rip legend
Saw him many times at Parkhead and my club Hibs. What a player Bertie was, also a superb human being.
What a legend
Not a great player but a great attitude and Celtic legend no doubt about that.
Rip Sir Hail Hail
RIP Bertie.
Love it. Great stories.
JockThrash. He never won the FA cup with Birmingham. Bertie shows the passion of being associated with the Celtic. Great man,
it was the league cup he won with birmingham
Spoke to him at the No7 restaurant at Celtic Park. He came over & said hello, spoke to my mum about the lions and then he said to me what does it mean to you ? I had a lump in my throat and said everything. He then said, ill never forget it. "Sarah (my mum) thats what it means, banging his chest. Your boy is like millons who never got the chance to be a celt. But Jock made sure that we played for yous, to be entertained. When you pulled on they hoops you felt the weight of all the fans to deliver. Then pointed to my mum and said & Sarah... didnt we deliver with a wink.
RIP Bertie, from a Rangers fan
Respect Mark.

No!
I've been asked for my "top 5" men I'd want a beer with. This guy is top of the list, above Julius Caesaer and the big man Jesus Christ. It's no contest. What a man.
