We go for a drive thru the "Eastside" hoods of Albany GA ~ This town has been very popular and we had several requested areas we hit up on this videos so thanks for the LOVE GA!
Miss it. Not now but I miss the 80’s when I was a kid. Staying with my grandparents on Rosevelt. while my parents were at work. Good times back then. You kept riding around Residence but didn’t ride through Rosevelt. I’m not mad through thank you for sharing.
I wish you could do more of the city, I lived on the east and west side moved away in the 90s. And if you could give the street names as someone else mentioned ,I did recognize a few graduated AHS 78. Thanks for sharing. I hope you do more.
when i was young i lived on that side of Albany on Hubert Ave, but my family moved out long ago . when we moved that Dollar Tree on the corner was an Excard Drugs by a Wagners bbq restaurant haha. best move my family ever made was leaving that city
Yeah that dollar tree used to be an Exckerds drug store. And before that used to be a pawn shop and tattoo parlor. And Wagner's used to be wooden Nickel pub. And Walgreens used to be the movie theater.
@@yosheef007 Google Albany and you'll see Albany for the past 20 year's is usually in the top 10 most dangerous cities of America. It used to be a lot better 30+ year's ago but so many good jobs have vanished and the thugs took the place over.

Frfr man you gotta go back and stop giving us this bs this your 2nd time and your not actually going to the hoods these all the hood places , Go to LAKEWOOD, BETHEL APARTMENTS, CME apartments, then go to these streets , Go on Jackson street , and go on ELVA street
I recognize all these neighborhoods they were beautiful and thriving at one time. I lived on the Eastside most of my life. We had the Air Force, Firestone, Merke Chemical, Delco Remy, and recently Cooper Tire and the list goes on. Hold your Government leaders accountable.
Yeah remember the Navy base closed in the 70's ...and tons of good jobs disappeared. Along with the one's you mentioned Bob's Candie's / McGregor/Cleo/Jamison and more.
And who exactly are you ??? Cause you turned a few corners.... Well did you get robbed, car jacked, I didn't see any of that happen.... Hell I've been to Germany, Paris, Washington DC, Washington State, Denver Colorado, Texas, Chicago, Detroit, and PLEASE don't even Talk about New York City..... You can find everything you've shown in All those places I've named, and I left out a lot of them....
You want to blame the government leaders ??? They didn't force anyone into the gangs that shoot someone practically every night. Companies leave because of moving business out of the country for cheaper labor and in Albanys case because of the crime, who would want to move there for work?
Here we go again.... Some one not KNOWING what the HELL they're TALKING ABOUT AGAIN..... They're GANG'S in All cities All over America.... What the HELL does that have to do with COMPANIES LEAVING... And we didn't have the Air Force in Albany, it was The Naval Air Station, that had B-52s stationed there among other planes.... We also had missiles AIMED at us from Cuba..... McGregor hasn't left, it Down Sized, they still have a company across from the Airport.... Bobs Candy, closed themselves, and it's a funny story behind that as well..... You talk about GANG'S, well Atlanta has PLENTY of GANG ACTIVITY, people FLOCKING to get there everyday...... I worked at Boeing in Macon Georgia, they're CLOSED, I worked at COOPER TIRE in Albany, Georgia, my HOMETOWN born and RAISED..... My church is in C.M.E., so PLEASE don't USE the GANG mentality..... Cooper Tire, said they LEFT, because they CLAIM we weren't doing QUALITY work, but when they got BEHIND, they called THOSE same EMPLOYEES they just let go to dig them out of the HOLE they DUG.... After it was all said and DONE, those WERE the best QUALITY tires we've had..... And if Albany is sooooo BAD, why hasn't Proctor and Gamble left, why hasn't Coors left..... As a matter of FACT, why did BOEING leave Macon Georgia, it DAMN sure wasn't do to GANG ACTIVITY.... You sound like a DUMMY....
I am VERY familiar with this area. It's gotten worst since the video...no Harveys....no Winn Dixie...no place to get a decent meal that isn't fried chicken or a burger. Still, it's my home town...Dougherty High School represent. The 'beny and its people will persevere...
They building a community center next to dollar general on east oglethorpe and i heard some new apartments were being built on the east also.. Thats what we need. Less crime and more investors
Actually it happened at the credit union parking lot which is right next to pic n sav back when it was Warehouse food's she then after being stabbed hobbled over to warehouse food's.
