The 1st one i felt bad for eastman, the 3rd shows how terrifying the initial outbrake can be but the 2nd one damn, that was too disturbing
Agreed. I would say out of all the three presented here, Maggies story definitely felt like I was actually watching it happen as she was told them what she encountered the most.
Morgan visiting Eastman’s grave in Fear was a fantastic callback.
Jesus that second story was just f'd up that fact some of them were still alive just makes it even worse
Seriously. I think this and the “hush” story from season 6 are the darkest instances on the show.
Reminds me of the movie Bone Tomahawk. Basically the same thing is both hinted at and shown where female natives of a certain tribe had their arms and legs cut off, eyes pierced with bone nails and they were just used as breeders for the tribe.
@@slis3578 I am sure it has happened plenty of times hundreds of years ago.
The first time Maggie talked about that story I got goosebumps and I was shaking.
for realssss
While the Walking Dead gets some (deserved) criticisms, a lot of the worldbuilding that's sprinkled in, like these campfire tales and the environmental lore is honestly so well done.
For Eastman to say that he had only ever met 1 true evil person, it makes you wonder which character would come along that would fit his description. Charming, manipulative, puts on a face. But, we had already seen the first, and only truly evil character introduced in season 3. The Governor was the only character introduced in The Walking Dead that fit those descriptions, because he *was* Too Far Gone.
❤
Clearly, the worst story was the twisted baby factory.
Something like this actually happened.
@@nialcc Gimme a name so I can go on a rabbit hole
@@bobbywhite5319- Are you sure? It's a deep rabbit hole. CZcams won't let me give you much so you're going to have to strip on your seatbelt.*Gary Michael Heidnik kidnapped, graped, and to*tured blk women starting in 1986, keeping them in a hole in his basement in Phily.*
Id like to think that the missing chunk of Crightons grave marker was how many days he had survived. And he had removed it due to disgust in himself.
That’s a really interesting theory!
Maggie's story reminds me on excerpt from Cormac McCarthy's "The Road".
I wasn't surprised that it never made it into the movie, although the basement full of human cattle did.
Interesting! I saw some people mention the similarities to a scene in Bone Tomahawk aswell, but I have not seen it yet so I can’t attest to that
The second story was the most disturbing because the fact that old man kept those women as like prizes of sorts, I forgot about this story ngl. Eastman’s campfire story was sad too since that’s what made him the person he was when he met and helped Morgan. The third one was sad and poetic as well since all those people died but then got the revenge like you mentioned as walkers. I’m looking forward to more stories in the future! Would you do any stories about the comics or telltale games?
Maggie’s story gave me chills. It was a Perfect situation to tell a story like that.
Tbh I would not even want ro know if whatever was inside the pregnant walker was a healthy baby or an undead baby
Laurent is born to a freshly turned walker. He was a healthy normal baby
@@Shannon-vv6rr daaaaaaamn that's just tragic
This needs to be a regular series. Amazing video
Hey thanks so much! I plan to keep it going!
The 2nd story is the most realistic horror that TWD has shown, stuff like that happens
Eastman, I get. In a way, I even agree with his actions. If it were my family, I think I might be as brutal. Scary, but just being honest. The Arena is understandable too. It was horrific, but not having the knowledge of exactly how things were going down, the actions of Andy were understandable. Remember in 17 miles out when Shane couldn't figure out why the security guards had turned when there were no bites or scratches... so even that far in, no one really knew... As far as the attic. In this world, the dead are the least dangerous enemy. They are predictable... and easily dealt with in smaller numbers, of course... I wish "Monument Day" could be more dealt with. It just seems inconceivable that everything went to crap on one day... It takes time for people to turn. It's not like half the population went walker overnight rendering the military, police, and the general population impotent. That was my hope with the creation of Fear... we would gt to see the gradual disintegration of things. Instead, we got another time jump, and even that didn't seem too severe, until the day the bombed the hell out of everything... remember the drive they did to Victor's place? No huge roaming hoards of walkers... a few fires her and there, but it seemed more deserted than anything. Just doesn't make sense to me...
By far my favorite TWD channel on this platform. Keep up the good work mate!
Hey thanks so much mate!
Suggestions for campfire stories: Terminus and how Gareth came to eat humans. The story of the apply guy and the girl with the dead leg and their fates. The story of Gabe leaving those people outside the church to die. the story of Bob being eaten by the cannibals. The story of the Govenors zombie daughter. The story of the Govenors heads in tanks. The story of Michonnes walkers (her pet ones)
All great suggestions
@@Swell-Films even though they're stories we already know, I think that short form campfire storytelling of the dark happenings in TWD would be super cool. Also the story of Lizzy and Mika from start to finish and Lizzie's descent into psychosis would be a cool one to explore! The pink house with the family and the painting I actually felt was abit of a foreshadowing for Lizzies psychosis as I watched this vid and focused on the painting. It's typical for Schizophrenics to draw like this in a psychotic state so I think the mother defaced it herself, killed her kids and she's the woman in the chair, and then a survivor/her husband covered the door but wanted to preserve their art so they covered the painting. Alot of people forget that Lizzie says she sees and hear things at one point too. Maybe exploring from Lizzie's mind how she viewed the walkers and her descent into the flowers moment would be cool and gives room for creative thinking as we never saw Lizzie's psychosis from her mind and her and Mikas story from being a kid before to the end would be cool and spooky in a campfire storytelling vid. Also I'm glad you like them! Gareth was the most intriguing and scariest villain to me, the thought of cannibalism is so inhuman that any stories surrounding Terminus would be pretty spooky!
IT ONLY TOOK ME 967 DAYS TO STARVE TO DEATH
The second story f'ked my head so much that I something think about it. There is nothing being shown at all, but the story is terrifying
I'm really enjoying your channel. These stories are great. I gave up on the walking dead a while back. But these videos make me want to finish it.
This is one of my favorite parts of The Walking Dead and they do it so well telling these horrific stories about the world around that you cannot see but only hear it allows you to paint that horrifying picture yourself and therefore makes the universe seem so much bigger because through the show you only see it through the eyes of the choosen characters but it builds that view of everything every new person encountered usually has a horror story to tell and it makes you realize how bleak the reality of the apocalypse really is
Yes, you're on a roll!!!
Keep it up...
Fun fact for the third story. There, this mobile game is called fear the walking dead dead run, and one of the chapters you get to play as a US soldier who unfortunately got trapped in the arena. I'm not sure if it's canon or not, but I thought it would be interesting to share.
Incredible video!!! A quick 9 minute video covering multiple stories just touched upon in the franchise is amazing. Great format. Would love to see more of this. I completely forgot that Maggie story
This video was BRILLIANT! 🤩
I like this channel and near enough all of its content, but one thing I will say is that TWD breakdown channels are a dime a dozen, where this channel really rises above the others are vids like this and the environmental storytelling breakdowns you do. I appreciate things like that aren’t an infinite resource to make videos about, but coming out with this as something new to the environmental storytelling breakdowns you do shows you have it in you and in this channel to find ways to stand out from the competition and do things others aren’t doing.
Bravo Ty 👏👏👏
Thanks so much for the kind words! I always try to come up with fresh ideas so I’m glad you guys are responding well to them!
Thanks for making the great content dude!
I also really like your vids you’ve done lately on things like the original Fear arc plans, don’t see much of that type of content around so it’s nice to find such an original channel about a topic that’s been done to death (pun intended 😅)
Thanks for covering the 3rd story. I always wondered about it. But in my own opinion, Salazar's plan could have backfired horribly on himself and his family.
Kinda did, it got allot of innocent people killed plus the ex-wife of the husband (who's name I forget). So essentially they went to rescue three people and got everyone killed for it.
I am really, REALLY enjoying your ongoing series about the 'unseen/untold' stories that have been glimpsed on TWD; I have wondered about many of these stories myself, and I appreciate your analyses. Please keep them coming!
Yes please make more, this universe has so much detail to it
I love these documentary style videos going in depth with the lore❤ keep it up
This and the environmental storytelling videos have been great!
Thanks so much!
Great video a part 2 would be great!
love these vids man!
Great video man, thanks for the content
Keep it up! Great vid btw
you did a really good job with e reference pictures that helped to imagine all of it without really seeing it, this is top tier content
Hey thanks so much mate!
I had no idea about the third story because World Beyond was the one instance I wasn't strong enough to tolerate watching something past episode one lol. So thank you for covering it. And absolutely a follow-up would be amazing. I don't know if Maggie's story or the 2000 people turning to zombies was worse.
The third story is from fear the walking dead
@@danielatanasov7924Which season is it?
@@lilymccann5329 1st season episode 6 or 7 if I remember correctly
I'd love to hear more!
TY SWELL UPLOADED!!!
I really enjoy these videos
This would make a great series
A follow-up video would be great, but nothing beats story 2 for me. Absolutely the most disturbing thing in TWD universe, imo.
Story 2 is why we choose the bear.
Plssss make some more videos like this! For example the story of the Walker in the tent from season 2, or season 4's park
That middle story. Just, wow. I need to catch up on the Walking Dead shows, but I’m definitely gonna dredd seing/hearing this story. 🤢😨
I'm at work and haven't even watched it yet, but I hit Like so fast!
You should make another vid this was really well made
More please!!
OooOoh this is eerily Wonderful.
Well Done👏👏👏👏
I had to do a double take...Penn Badgley LOL, I was like, I don't remember him in it😂,
Great Reference YoU😉
No campfires / camping for me this weekend now LOL🔥🏕️
Excellent, Keep these types of videos coming, you need a L❤️VE Button! 🙌💎
I think a follow-up video would be great
Nice video
That second story goddamn
Can you do a breakdown of Radio Waves & the other shorts
More of these campfire and rabbit hole stories, please
New instalment tomorrow!
Can you do a video about the solider in the tank in season one?
I'd like to unhear the Maggie one.
Stopped watching TWD after season 2 but I love these lore videos!
Video about Tomas and the inmates and the prison arc please
When I saw the fire pit my immediate thought was creepy pasta story or horror story 😂
Haha that’s the vibe I was trying to go for!
Has all the house/environmental story telling finished?
There will be more! Just trying out something new here
oh man....
*just a placeholder image*
The placeholder image in question being Joe Goldberg from You 😂
It works does it not 😂
Joe!!!!
the second story WTF
Honestly the first two make no sense to me at all 😵💫
Follow-up, follow-up, follow-up!!!
moreeeee
So much could have worked.
Mini stories aren't shit done right.
You do the tank guys.
Shit, how good was Terminus?
That story is excellent.
But no.
Darrabont wanted it. *Sighs
so maggie killed 2 unborn children?
You’re a really fucked up person if that’s all you took from that story
