Did you enjoy that little adventure ?
It's an awesome find. Looks like a command bunker to direct the gun fire, that strange room could be radar btw or aiming control, not seen anything close like it regarding search lights or small guns. It's very elaborate for a small gun so doubt its one of those but I'm guessing. Did you work out what it is yet?? And you definitely need a better camera to record underground. Yours does ok normally but wasn't much good under those conditions. Maybe a few patreons can donate towards a better camera??
Wow @ww2historyhunter That was an amazing adventure. You have to go back and climb up into that area above.
Great video. The lack of graffiti makes this a great historical find. A copy of your video should be provided to the local historical society, because one day that might change
Awesome!!! Thanks for sharing watching from Philippines!
Yep sure did
Zt.Z.-Zeitzünder- timefuze
Pz 39 - Panzergranate- Tank grenade
AZ - Aufschlagzünder - Impact fuze
Greetings from Germany
Niko
Thanks Niko :)
Yep correct Bundeswehr still use these letters
I like how excited you get looking round these places. Keep up the good work
i do get excited as the locations are so interesting. Thanks Paul
WW2HistoryHunter,
Pz39 is Panzerbusche 39.
7.92x94mm Patronen.
German 2nd world war anti tank rifle with effective range of only 300 metres to penetrate 25mm of armour.
So wish I could secretly get in touch with you and learn of its location. Like the thousands of others of course.!!
Superb video.
Thanks
Jonathan
Hi, I think you are wrong about the markings on the ceiling. I think it is much more likely that the markings indicate the types of 88mm shells that were stored in the bunker, and not for munition for something like a Panzerbuchse 39.
AZ. means Aufschlagzünder, this translates to "impact fuze". So in that place, they stored shells that detonate on impact.
And I think that Zt. Z. means Zeit Zünder, which translates to "timed fuze". So a shell with a time delay before exploding, often used for anti-air purposes.
As for the Pz. 39, I think that in this case it means Panzergranate 39. An armor piercing high explosive type of shell. So a shell that is capable of penetrating thick armor before exploding.
Thanks for great feedback and for taking time to watch. Greetings from us.
Thank you very much Jonathan.
Unfortunately incorrect, but easy mistake. Remember it’s a costal defence and AA station, with captured equipment etc. But this ones easily identified as the 88mm multi role shell fuse types. Zt air burst, pz shaped charge and Az impact.
I believe the markings indicate the shell types that were stored in that bunker.
AZ. means Aufschlagzünder, which is a shell that explodes on impact.
Zt. Z. most likely stands for Zeit Zünder, a timed fuze
And I think that Pz. 39 in this case means Panzergranate 39, an armor piercing high explosive shell.
Sooo if to go boom boom you just need hammer the aufgdndnunder? Eh
Great video! I figure the two dots over the u in zunder means that there is a second u after the n. Zunuder. Am I correct?
Correct... German Bundeswehr still uses those letters
De Dowd no.. there are 3 special letters in the German language. Ü Ä Ö
@@T0MT0M77 hey Tom just to let you know you're absolutely right :) my comment was not meant as an answer to dowds comment!
OMG. Fantastic! Please do share any more of these places you run across in your travels. As I said before, these places need to be protected as historical sights for our future generations. I love it! Thanks so much for all you do!
Will do and thanks.
It is a shame you don't have a WW2 veteran that was stationed at your various exploration sites who could guide you around and explain the function of all the rooms and tunnels.
we have met up With several veterans at several locations and that is very special to experience. Thanks Tim
WW2HistoryHunter wow that’s great have you ever asked them for interviews? Unfortunately I never got proper ones with my grandpa about his experiences and now that he and many other veterans are gone it’s such a shame to see their stories disappear
Good one couldnt wait to c this part after last weeks vid with out all the messes. Love these tipe of places
Thanks a lot Tom
Wow this is one of the coolest videos I've ever watched on CZcams! Thank you
Thanks my friend.
OMG!!!!! When you turn up at a place expecting a few gun locations, couple of command posts and some crew quarters, but walk round a corner and find almost half an underground city all connected by fantastic hand built tunnels.................. from an explorering perspective after watching that lot, I am nursing a semi............... what a location.
cool John and thanks for watching my friend.
Fantastic as usual. Love your videos, just so exciting.
Glad you like them!
Definitely Enjoyed that little adventure. Thank you HH.
Our pleasure!
Great video as always. Love your enthusiasm and excitement. This is easily one of my favorite CZcams channels.
How glad to read that and Greetings from us.
Another good one, hope there will be some drone shots in the next video. Love your drone shots as they give a chance to see the site from a totally new perspective. Keep up the good work.
Drone shots in many of my videos. Thanks Andrew
Thank you my friend for sharing this. I always look forward to your videos.
Can't imagine the amount of man-hours it took to dig and construct that facility.
i agree. very Heavy work being done there in those days. Thanks
too much credit when they were in the minorty numerically, regardless, they needed to earn their keep. everyone had to do their part no one had it easy all hands on deck until the final victory then everything would be hashed out a better life for all, europeans and semetics alike.
@Repeat After Me: It's well documented that the Nazis used slave labour extensively and treated them brutally, even in the Channel Islands prisoners were worked to death building tunnel complexes.
@@christopherfranklin972 well they soviets and many more did too, why blame one side only?
@@nnggghhaa3709 The topic is on a site built and utilised by the Germans, not any other nation but the Germans, therefore my comment is both specific and entirely relevant.
You have to go back and find out about that room up in the cave...very, very interesting.
Great little adventure finding the bunker system at a gun position, so sweet.
I agree and we loved to share that :)
From what I could find the ZZ is fuses for the 88mm.
AZ seems to be ammunition for the K98 Mauser.
Truly amazing to see the markings still looking like new after all these years.
Thanks for improving my knowledge this stuff they didn't teach in schools.
Yep, that was absolutely a Holy Madonna! Thanks for sharing!!! :)
JACKPOT!!! Thank you so much for this video. I really enjoyed it.
Thanks so much.
Those tunnels are amazing! Thank you for uploading :)
All my pleasure. Thanks
You did it again! What a great job you did exploring this ! I cant believe how intricate those tunnels are !
Thanks and Greetings from us.
I wonder if the caves were all chiseled out or did they do any blasting on them? Fantastic to see the writing on the ceiling of the bunkers. Very unusual that it’s still there. It’s amazing how what you think is a small bunker turns into something much larger. Hope you return here again.
Mot of them were chiseled and blasted. Great place and thanks my friend.
Another great adventure, you and your family keep this history alive. Please keep them coming.
All Our pleasure Anthony and thanks for watching.
One of the best videos you guys did... just awesome. Congrats.
Thanks for that.

Thanks a lot Daryl
Hi WW2HistoryHunter! My name is Chuck and I just found you on CZcams this evening. This is the first video I have watched that you created, but I hope to watch everyone of them on your list. I am a WWII fanatic-LOL! You did an incredible job of both filming this old German site, and your audio presentation was excellent. I have subscribed to your CZcams site, and will try to watch another one of your videos tomorrow night. Thanks so much!... Chuck
Could not wait to see the second part and just awesome cheers 👍
Thanks Mark
Wow! I was sitting on the edge of my chair when you went into the tunnels. Loved the area where the Generator set was. Almost have to go back with a ladder and see where the part goes that was too high to get too! Great Job! Loved this one.
Just great to read LArry and appreciate you taking time to watch. Greetings from us.
Great video! Thanks!
Thanks John
Another great vid, love your work keep it up 😁👍
Will do and thanks.
The level of preservation in these bunkers is incredible! And the level of finish in the concrete is also remarkable. They didn't just carelessly throw together these bunkers, they were carefully built with nice smooth, neat concrete walls.
Appreciate you commenting and watching Charles.
Wow that was awesome. Thanks again. Keep up the great videos. Travel well.
will do Aaron and thanks for watching.
Truly amazing thanks for sharing as always 😊
Glad you liked it and Greetings.

OMG you find even more fantastic places. This is one of your best. These tunnels required so much work it's just amazing. I'm thinking there's a part 3.
and maybe part 4 with a INSANE sursprise :)
That place is crazy!!! I can't imagine how excited I would be to see a massive tunnel system like that, just thinking of how much effort and time they put into forming it. I am amazed.. thank you for sharing it with us.
Wow , thanks for that and Greetings from us.
Great video HH and daughter. Nice restraint, you nearly swore there and I couldn't blame you man that is awesome!
I will do my best not to :) Thanks
Incredible that parts of the structure appear to be quite modern. So clean, it's hard to believe they were constructed 80+ years ago.
Great work!
Great location indeed my friend and thanks.
Great video. Thanks very much.👍

Will do and thanks.
Miraculous find, awesome video! Thank you for loving it as much as you did - I agree with others, you should contact a historical society so it can be preserved properly before anyone else can find it. Your respect is admirable!
Appreciated :)

New WW2HistoryHunter vid, life is good. ;D
Always a pleasure my friend.
That was amazing!! One of the best spots yet!!
Thanks John
12:18 the abbreviations zt.z are 88mm air burst shell fuse, anti-tank and Az electric impact fuse. Most likely the fuses were stored separate from the charge.
I don't think it would be logical to have big stacks of just the fuzes in that particular bunker. I think that in there, there were 3 stacks of 88mm Flak shells with fuze types that correspond to the ceiling markings. That way, the ammunition could be used straight away . If the charges were stored seperately from the fuzes, they could not be used immediately when needed. That doesn't make sense.
Loving the rapid exchanges of information and education...
Panzer Schokolade I know it sounds illogical, but if a naval or armoured force arrived and your limited amount of shells were fused for AA, you’ll spend a lot of time unscrewing tips. No, the shell-up would be ordered and attached, in the way multi part naval charges were packed before use. More fuses would be stored than shells, especially the multi-use 88mm.
@@David-kq7cw Those diff rooms around the corner from one another were just that to keep the fuses separated. Static electricity especially from a WOOL coat and gloves could set shit off. Most of gun crews rubber and leather vests and gloves even rubber sleeves. Most deff they store the stuff separated unless under threat and that was there was always 6-10 men to a crew to make that quick prep work short work.
There a tunnel here a tunnel ! Tunnels everywhere great location ! Thank you HH and bunker buster girl!! 👍🏻👍🏻
No problem 👍
Wow. What an amazing place. Thanks for sharing it with us.

Great video bud!!! 👍
Ok, so I know living so close to the battlefields of WWII is a double edged sword but I'm going to focus on the plus side. You're so lucky to be able to explore the battlefields so easily. I would love being able to spend a day or two walking along the Atlantic Wall.
Appreciated Michael and Greetings from us.
Awesome history thank you
Glad you enjoyed it
Mindblowing !! Thank goodness you didn’t get lost in these Tunnels... :) what a Blast :)
yest Steven , very cool location. Thanks.
I wish I lived there. I would metal detect everyday that I possibly could. I would constantly explore those places. Just awesome. Every time I watch things like this, I picture german soldiers running around.
