Some locations can be just totally AMAZING ! I still cant belive how history can share. Have you ever been as lucky as this ? Let me know in the comments. Thanks for watching.
Wish I could put up a picture I got of aircraft wheels I found lol.
WW2HistoryHunter yea keep finding old bullets from ww2 in greece
Love watching your videos... saying Hi from NH USA !!! Keep digging!
WW2HistoryHunter the medal is in such great condition I thought it was a ww2 medal but it's WW1 just brilliant
Hello from Maine, USA! Awesome vid! Thanks-
Shouldn't that medal be oxidized with some patina - at least a little? Looks too clean.
well , all i can say is that i dont belive it has been there for a long time. My Guess is that someone else ( digger or something ) lost it and we found it. As i said to my daughter , no one will belive us but she said ; you found it so show it.And that is just what i did :) But history is very weird sometimes so you never know. Thanks for watching and for comment.
Look at my answer to L MAr under ehre. Thanks Geiger
I've found a brass button (the clip kind with a "bubbly" surface) that was laying on top of a bunker, right between two slabs of rock(rock wall extension, i believe, most of it had collapsed). I guess nobody bothered to test the top of a bunker, so it pinged just for me. The thing is spotless safe for the two ferrous tabs which were paper thin, and shortly after removal from situ, broke off.
So it can happen. Also, i think he might've cleaned it.
i totally respect Your comments and observations and you having experience With metals like that would justify Your observations and meanings. I even agree , how come it is so Nice ?. Bu then again it could have been dropped by another person just yesterday. As Aserta says under the comments here , items can actually look extremely good , even after decades outside and even under the ground so you never know. Thanks.
L Mar old coins I've seen or bought have had very little patina of any, you never know with old things.
This is by far my favorite channel on CZcams. Thank you so much for sharing your adventures.
wow how great to read :) Thanks my friend.
I always get excited when you upload I love your videos!
So glad to read that. Thanks.
Sam Hinchy I
The bomb squad probably has you on their prefered client list, most reported! Maybe after 10 more reports, they give you a "honorary bomb tech" t-shirt! Love your stuff!
he h e , they might give you a kick in the butt for calling :) Thanks
Wow! A ww1 French croix de guerre, you lucky devil!
well , sometimes history Works in strange ways. Thanks
And WW2 War
@@WW2HistoryHunter This medal was probably found there because it had been awarded to a French servicemember. Did you find anything about that man, please?
Its the 1914-1918 French Cross of war, they are very common. You're really lucky if you find a 1914-1917 version, they're rarer than the 1914-1918 version.
Amazing video! I love these searches picking us so many artefacts, looks like virgin ground, the panzerfaust tube looks like the soldier just left it propped up against the tree all those years ago and nobody has been there since! Great location! Love it 👍
This smal location was truly special. Thank YOu again for watching.
What a great find on the WW1 medal. I read were a lot of WW1 soldiers served also in the Second World War. If you remember,Hitler also served in WW1. Are the authorities good about coming out for these ordinances? As many mosquitoes bite you, you would think you would be there blood brother by now and they would leave you alone lol. Nice find on the Russian hand grenade. I’ve never seen one before. Growing up I always thought that bombs and grenades always exploded into small pieces. Wow, how often could go out and find a panzerfaust leaning against a tree? I sure your heart beats a little faster when you find these live ordinances. Great location with plenty of treasures.
Indeed a lucky hit that was and thanks Anthony.
I love your videos, excellent content. You are real and down to earth and respectful. The best is your genuine excitement and the fact that you do not sensationalise. Thank you HH and team!
Appreciate that
What a pleasure it is looking at these bunkers. Reminds me of my son and I when he was younger on visits to Normandy sailing all the way from Ireland. Makes me want to go back again. Your kids are stars !
Thanks Peter :)
Good to see you again :) Nice War Merit cross, and yes, It's a Soviet F1 hand grenade. Not dangerous though. Just unscrew the cap and burn it in a fireplace. When the charge have burned out, take a stick, turn it around and pour out the remaining oil. Then you will have a nice display item :) Great trip!
I thought it might have been a 'Hindenburg Cross" or next of kin honor cross but the hinge (pardon the term) is different to what I've seen in Google; great find by your daughter H.H...ever thought of getting her to fill out a lottery form ;-)
Thanks my friend. Very busy at the time. Thanks for taking time to watch and keep maing Your great videos. Greetings from us.
Dangerous and bad advice . Explosives used in grenades - mortars and other items can chemically react with metals and threads over time making them extremely sensitive to friction and even static electricity .
2:51 I RECOGNISE THIS IMMEDIATELY That is the French 'Croix De Guerre' medal! My late parents told me about this on a trip to Frace to visit a war museum. The Croix de Guerre may be awarded either as an individual award or as a unit award to those soldiers who distinguish themselves by acts of heroism involving combat with the enemy. Introduced in 1915! WOW HOLY DONDER UND BLITZEN!! SUPERB😮😧👍👏👏👏
Very special find indeed and loved to be there at that moment. Thanks :)
That was a FAN-TAXTIC find....WoW.

well joe , sometimes history do present itself on a silver platter. Thanks for watching.
The French medal you found was a "Croix de guerre". Which was a bronze star worn by US troops if awarded in 1917 or 1918. It was an early issue and is worn with a ribbon with a small bronze star on it, indicating it was awarded at corps level for giving action at certain battles. Also for brigade, batlin, or equal mention.
Thanks for sharing and Greetings from us.

Nice , thanks
Appreciate you watching. Thanks
👏More great finds and a history lesson along with it, shame there's a new invasion though, that of the mosquito and this time they've plenty of aircraft.
Also I've noticed from past uploads and this one, it does seem that the Soviets had quite a few defective grenades and ordinance.
Thanks for watching.
Great finds again man. I don't know why you don't make up a Facebook page and get on there you may get your self more viewers for your channel. Spread the word 😁
