If You would like to support me : / ww2historyhunter Dreams can come true and in my hunt for a Luftwaffe WW2 Aircraft that is just what happened. Join me , please watch the full video and enjoy.
Imagine you're walking through the forest with your dog half-asleep, and you hear some guy from the forest next to you going "YEEEE HAW" and "WOO HOOO"
Couldn't believe my eyes. Yes, you are so right HH, 'Dreams can come true '. That site was full of WW2 treasures from the Luftwaffe Henkel He 111 crash, and you were able to locate many. Aircraft rivets, iron airplane support structure, grey pieces of fuselage, unique panel piece with the Luftwaffe colors/colours still visible, wing reinforcement, mesh for lead filled battery, aircraft oil cooler housing, and the BIGGEST prize of all - the MG15 aircraft magazine with live cartridges. It was crystal clear that you heard the knock, knock, knocking of WW2 history on your door HH. And how lucky we were to witness the fruits of your labor/labour. Thank you 😊..
I believe you have found the tail part of the aircraft because on the rear of the aircraft the drums had leather straps to allow it to be taken easier out of the stand.
I was stationed in Bad Hersfeld in the early 70's. We would go to Graffenwhor once a year to qualify the tanks. We used to go in the forbidden impact areas and go bunker diving...I felt just like you do when I am that close to history. WW2 was a horrible time for all humans, but to a student of the war, it was a great adventure, as far as war goes. Wish I could go back some day... enjoy your outings and I feel the excitement as you do. Thanks much, Joe Mclendon!
HOLY TRIPLE MEGA MADONNA!!!!!!! Now that was a great find to say the least and to think there is still more up there. Did the Luftwaffe have salvage crews that you know of? It would be neat to find an engine or tires from the landing gear or better yet,the dashboard from the cockpit! Who knows what is still buried up there for you to find my friend--good luck!
+bob ahnert Well BOB , there are some more hidden Secrets there and i have already unvealed some special ones. They did salvage some but still some left....Thanks my friend.
My ex father in law was a Luftwaffe pilot in WWII. He flew He-111s also. At the end of the war he was back in Germany from N. Afrika and before being captured by the British, he was going to the airfields and destroying all war equipment that could not be reused. Anything repairable or in operation was hidden in caves. He claimed that when he left Germany in 1953 some of those hidden caves were just as he left them. He said that the caves contained weapons, aircraft parts, ammunition and helmets, etc.
Watching you get more and more excited as you found the small parts and then finally explode with joy when you found the final piece made me feel a whole lot better during a really crappy moment in my life, so thank you for sharing your discovery with us all =)
I love the excitement of finding historical items that have been hidden in the dirt , to be the first person to see and touch history is one of the the greatest feelings . I can feel your excitement in your videos . That's one of the many reasons I enjoy your and your channel. Thanks once again for posting them . Best regards.
Hello from Ohio in the USA. I tell my wife regularly that I want to take a trip over your way to go relic hunting and to visit the old bunkers. Seeing as the possibility of that happening is rather slim, I watch as many of your videos as I can. Your adventures are probably as close as I'm going to get to taking a trip of my own, and I thank you for publishing all of your videos.
I always enjoy watching your videos and I think all your vids are completely mind blowing, the items you pull out of the ground, the history you hold in your hands after so many years being buried just takes my breath away. This has to be one of the best finds you have done. Not everyone can say you explored a WW2 plane crash site and walked away with peices of the plane and not to mention a piece of the weapons, cool, cool ,cool. Keep up the good work. Massachusetts , USA
Incredible Find! You could find wreckage all day but when you come across an intact part, something anyone can identify as a piece of the aircraft; then it's really a great moment. Congratulations on your find!
Have you thaught of carrying a hand held gps with you? You could document your finds as way points to help other historians map out sites for further preservation.
Yes you did find that ! Have you reported it to the war graves office because unless they bailed out, there will be remains on that mountain/hill top. very exciting watching the video, thanks for sharing and I'm going to look for part two now. atb Phil.
Just discovered your channel and this is absolutely wonderful. It really reminds me of when I was a kid, my dad would sit down next to me and tell me all about the planes of WWII, also the weapons, strategies, you name it. we shared a love for history together. He was in the Air Force in Italy and especially loves planes and jets. This is a great hobby that I would love to do with my son someday. Thank you for that and have a great day!
That's a saddle magazine for a MG-15. It was a air coooled 8mm machinegun used in German Aircraft, particularly in Bombers. I have a MG-15 that has a water cooled jacket and a clamp on buttstock. Toward the end of the war they had more ground troops than bomber pilots, so they converted the air cooled MG-15 to a water cooled version. Its a ungainly thing, but it worked in a pinch. That magazine has a special winder to assist loading.
This is just my opinion, but you don't need to calm down, the excitement you show makes it exciting for the viewers! So stay excited and have fun with what you are finding, and thank you for sharing it with everyone!
Wonderful video! I really enjoyed "searching with you!" :) Once again, it proves what "German Quality" really is! I worked on USAF aircraft, in Germany, (1968-72), and had three superb German "Local Wage Grade" in our shop (Avionics Instruments). One older man, Herr Diehl couldn't speak much English, but was an excellent aircraft instrument mechanic. During WWII, Mr. Diehl worked at the same airbase (Wiesbaden), but worked on the Junkers 88's, and the BF-109's. He had some good stories! I attended Herr Diehl's funeral and consoled his wife of many years. A fine man. Thanks again for the "adventure" - I was with you all the way. (p.s. I use a Garrett 250 with my searches :) Thank you from Melbourne, Florida. MSgt. USAF, retired. In addition, your English is superb!
+Aaron Trujillo you realise this is history in the making, this is what people will see in hundreds of years, you'll be gone, but memes, memes live on for ever
WOW HH! Those Luftwaffe artifacts were quite the find. Just LOVE your enthusiasm HH. :) Going through as many videos the second time and a quick comment. Show CZcams our appreciation of your hard work. :)
Just came across your videos today while looking for stuff totally unrelated to history, Guns, Metal detecting, etc.. LOL wow, what an awesome fine for me to locate your videos, but even more so. . . the stuff you're finding. Excellent, thanks for sharing it all with us.. just amazing.
I just found this profile and you have me breathless. As an American Teen I feel I can't relate to history more and more just by watching you and understanding the relics left behind from war and what not

AMAZING finds again, congrats on finding the airplane parts and especially the ammo magazine, once in a lifetime find :-) Best wishes my friend GL&HH Don
I have the same enthusiasm as you when am metal detecting. I get excited over every little item. I’ll go home and show my wife some spent ammunition shells, a beer bottle top, a penny that’s not that old and an old nut for a bolt. I would love to be with you when you clean the items to see the different processes you use and to examine them after cleaning. This crash site is turning up a lot of great items. The ammunition canister was a great find and I couldn’t believe it still had the leather carrying strap still attached. Another great video.
hearing stories from my grob vater and being a history geek is what made me want to join the army as a child. History brings one great pleasure i do wish i was born before ww2. Keep up the good work mein freund
This man and his family saved my life - also a very bad time for me at the moment I am being put out of my house soon I have nowhere to go only to live in my van, But as long as I have some internet the channel keeps me going. Such enthusiasm make life like worth living! 9:31 need to see this cleaned but looks like flying control possibly. 10:36 this is a pipe clamp for hydraulic pipe.14:16 one of those bits of metal has wire locking on it! That was a critical part access. 23:53 ran along between the bomb bay doors front to back, top support plate! That time you found the bomb abwurfwaffenalage, weapon drop system, carrier box that goes beside this, so keep finding parts my friend and this aircraft engineer will build you a WHOLE Heinkel 111. One of THE BEST FINDS SO FAR.😊😉😃👍👏👏👏👏 Soak the leather magazine handle in a mix of saddle soap, lanolin and Olive oil - it will turn back into bendy leather!
My friend , in life we NEVER surrender no matter how hard it is and how low we go. We hope you will get through this ( i know you will ) and keep smiling at life. That is the most important thing of all. Dont never forget that. Thanks and a massive greetings from us.
Congrats on all the finds, but the magazine is fantastic! I know it looks rather rough, but honestly I don't think it is in too bad of shape considering it has survived the crash of the plane and spent 70 years in the ground! And thanks for mentioning us in the USA!
Your so lucky to live in an area with such great world war 2 history, I live in New Zealand and you would never ever find any world war 2 things in the ground.
What a great find !! My husband has his private pilots license. There is nothing like flying in an airplane. I can only imagine what the pilots went through fighting each other in the sky. They were all just doing what they were told to do by some mad man.
As an avid lover of WW2 History, I can't tell you how happy and excited I am watching your videos. I only wish I lived closer to the old battlefields in Europe, I would love to do this myself. Living in America is great, but we don't have anything like that
That is very true. I just recently made a trip to the battlefield of Gettysburg in Pennsylvania. It was a powerful experience; especially to see where the 20th Maine fought on Little Round Top (I live in Maine, born & raised here). They say they've done a good amount of treecutting on the battlefield recently to restore it closer to the way it actually looked when the battle happened
Man I love watching your videos because you find some cool stuff, but I love how excited you get at every single turn haha. It's a nice lift in spirit.
I just would like to say thank you for the time you've taken to find these locations and the artifacts you and your family have found. I have studied WWII since I was a child . My love has always been the aircraft..your tours of the bunkers and battle grounds is informative and enlightening. Your enthusiasm is quite contagious and I look forward to your adventures. I hope you'll continue to inform and instruct us for as long as you can..
The "tubing holder" as you described it...is for the hydraulic pipes of the plane. Those holders are still used today (plastic now), if you want to attach hydraulic piping to walls or steel frames. Great video and great finds too!
Wow, very exciting find. I can see why it was a dream of yours. Thank you for filming it all, it almost felt like it was me finding those things with the pov shot of the camera. great stuff.
What an amazing find! It was so cool to see the live munitions in the magazine..it's also awesome how much you appreciate your American viewers. Happy digging!
Wow, this is right up there with your finding that bunker. I would imagine that researching and then finding this crash was a incredibly rewarding feeling, and then finds!
Really, really, REALLY enjoying your videos... I love the history, suspense and you aren't overdoing your commentary. Liked, subscribed and your vids are all playing while I work. Keep them coming!
I am new to your channel, I am watching all your videos today. You have a great hobby! nice to see someone who is so passionate about history. Thank you for all the great videos! You are a good man.
amazing finds!! I have a lot of fusleage parts from a Luftwaffe crash site in Stalingrad. its truly amazing to look at these relics and think of the history behind them before they crashed. keep up the good work, I love watching your channel.
So awesome. It makes me so happy when you get excited and find something. I see dreams really can come true. I hope you keep going back there! Congrats and thanks for yet another amazing video.
Thank you very much for sharing this with us here in the USA. one of these days, I would love to visit and go metal detecting with you! watching this video and listening to your excitement definitely warmed my heart. again, thank you VERY much, and have a wonderful day!
For many years I've been meaning to go up in the hills near me to explore the site where a B-17 crashed on a training mission in fog. It was heading back to its base somewhere around Lincolnshire I believe from training in the Peak District. You've made me want to go and look now. Loving your videos, regards from England.
How exciting, thanks for showing this and also for the special mention of us Americans who don't have this WW2 history. Wish you and your family well and good hunting.
this by far is my favorite video I got so excited when you found your first piece I spilled my coffee lol...but when you found the magazine I went crazy for you ...can't wait till the next find.thank you so much for your wonderful videos,I hope you find many more Holly Madonna moments..

Amazing find of that magazine with the cartridges still intact! Thanks for taking us along on this remarkable find! Looking forward to more of those "Mega Holy Madona" finds.
Cool story bro enjoyed the video thanks for making it . My family was from Germany . My uncle was caught wrapped around a tree after jumping out of a plane and ended up being a prisoner of War.
Awesome adventure....the MG15 ammo mag and the crash wreckage was a great find..WWII relics are my personal favorite. Makes me wish I was in Europe to work those same kinds of places...keep up the good work my friends..love the videos

Hello from Canada .I just found your videos . I've always been interested in anything to do with ww2 . My wife's parents came to Canada from Germany after the war . I never had a chance to meet them . My wife said he was a tank driver . That's all I know about him . Thanks for all the interesting videos .
You really hit the mother-load there! Very exciting, thanks for taking us along! Good call on that lead piece, I've had car batteries apart and their lead plates look just like that.

Must have been a very Nice location to visit. It always makes a huge impression going to Places like that. Thanks Paraagon
I love how enthusiastic you are! Glad to see your dream came true, and great job on the research!

The "tubing holder" as you described it...is for the hydraulic pipes of the plane. Those holders are still used today (plastic now), if you want to attach hydraulic piping to walls or steel frames. Great video and great finds too!
