The direction of the curve of the bullet Might depend on if it is Right-handed twists or left - handed twist in the barrel you could test this if you have guns with both types.
I really appreciate the way you guys run your channel. Straight to the point. You have fun, sell your wares, and blow shit up. What's cool to me is how the whole plate rack moves back after the velocity slows down once the first half of the plates are hit.

Probably spin drift. Its actually a thing to account for in elr shooting.

Shooting slightly downward from higher than target also explains low rear exit.
Spin left if from lighter bullets deflecting against spin from metal on metal friction due to spinning giving an opposite and equal spin drift reaction on each plate it impacts front to rear.

I cant beleive youtube is being all weird about your subs, just shows how the platform shuns smaller creators in favor of massive algorithm channels. Like if you ever go to youtube without being logged in, the standard algorithm for a new visitor just shows the top 8 youtubers, to find smaller creators (the soul of youtube imo) you really have to search.

Could the bullets veer left after hitting the plates be caused by the spin of the bullets? Maybe try a rifle with barrel rifling twisting in the opposite direction to see if the bullets veer right.
Idear shoot the 50 between 2 blocks of clay maybe 5 or 10 Cm. Apart, to prove the point or to see if there is any form of indentation to the clay, or shoot it between ballons.

That's definitely a myth that a 50 doesn't even have to hit to damage thank you for clarifying that because people all over CZcams use that myth
The projectiles are yawing to the left due to the rotation of the rifling of the barrel being in a clockwise rotation. If the rifling in the barrel was counter-clockwise the projectiles would veer to the right when they tumble.
Would like to see the ap test thru steel wieghts from ol style weight bench

.308 and the 7.62x54 are ballistic twins in performance. They shoot the same bullet weights at equal velocity. So performance should be equal as your test proves.
Maybe it’s a hemisphere thing. Like if flush a toilet halfway round the world it swirls to the left and in the other half it swirls to the right. Wonder if bullet spin is hindered with the direct it rotates depending on where in the world fired

50 bmg is a oddity in rounds the jacket lead etc is little more than a way to carry the core that does all the actual work sure on soft targets the jacket lead etc does insane damage but when you hit armor it all gets striped away letting the steel (or tungsten) core punch through
Or stripped away even.

It is true that a 50 bmg will blow limbs off even if it misses but its the raufoss round that does it after it explodes close to the guy its no myth

Cool, cool. Tip... the targets should be the same height as the barrel, that way you are not shooting downward. I build my target stands close to 6 foot tall so we can shoot the targets standing.

If they make a plate to stop it Which any 3a rated vest will stop a 30/06 AP round so it's not an armor-piercing round anymore It's just a way for the ATF to keep a thumb hold on you 😢 And now you know

I think 50 was below supersonic with last 10 plates, and they are explode every where, sorry for bad english, if you look closely at slowmo, you will see how powefull this round is, and how (in percernt (predictably) was explode)). Idkn, maybe i just overthink it

I make a badass hammer with a 50 bmg handle and a 20mm projectile hammer head . Do you need any 20mm projectiles ? Do you need a 20mm cannon ? Pull string musket cap ? Oldsmobile AN M-2 rifled Barrel ? 2k and I'll throw in a bucket of projectiles...right?

Why I rarely see the US army using raufoss Mk211 rounds in M2HB machine gun. Is that round not designed for machine gun use?

Keith Warren shot that deer and he said he cleaned that deer skull out and there was no damage to it after missing with a 50BMG. Only missed by an inch or so and the skull is a hollow cavity filled with mostly water. Footage looked real enough to me
