I agree. 308 and 30-06 are 2 of my favorite calibers ever. I do prefer the lighter recoil of the 308 tho.

Once again a great video from the research and destruction channel. I had a stroke and I am very right handed. I now have to shoot lefty. While I have been practicing drawing with my left hand with a Snap Cap in the pistol for safety reasons. I have dropped the gun several times and the sights area all jacked up. I could use that tool to help re sight my every day carry handgun. Thanks guys for the content that makes me have that sick smile on my face!!

That would be a very practical tool to have to make sure my sights are properly aligned also to make it easier to change sights to better quality ones by myself!
For penetration most rounds are compared to mm thickness steel without spacing... Spaced armor is known to be effective against certain types of projectiles, especially lighter and faster munitions.

Well it's a lighter round, so while it will pernitrate a thicker piece of metal it will loose velocity much faster as it passes through multiple layers which is why the steel cored rounds barely performed much better than the normal round.

Would love one of those tools ,, have been needing to adjust several rear and a few front sights for 30+ years but don't want to risk denting or scratching anything ,,, I'd have to re learn my guns though after adjustment because after that long I've learned to just hold left or right depending on which one I'm shooting lol no one else can hit anything with at least two of mine but I've got them down pat.

I have a Springfield XDM .40, 4.5” and I’ve went to replace the sights with a punch multiple times but just can’t get myself to do it haha. This tool looks much easier to operate

I NEED THAT TOOL! I have been wanting to get a sight tool for a long time, but they are expensive. Great video 👍I handloaded some 308 accelerators with 30 cal sabots from EABCO and shot a hole in my steel target. I wonder how many frying pans it would go through.

I use dovetail red dot sights on my edc, the sight pusher sounds awesome for it!
Being that I am starting out in the gunsmith field wile going to SDI. I have noticed that what tools you have as well as the quality of tools makes or breaks a job you may be doing. Having this sight pusher would assure I would be able to have a high quality tool that would last for a long time in my tool box to be able to accomplish each job that I may need it for.

I need this Accucraft Sight Pusher because my Commader is off with the ammunition that I feed it. With 230grn ball it's a tack driver but the hollow-points that I run through it hit left consistently. Using a brass drift is guess work at best.
I need a pusher for sure. I've got Smith that I was able to save up to get, it took me a little time as i am disabled just to get it and realize the fixed sights are off pretty badly. Great video as always guys.
The last sight pusher I bought was $80. It was junk basically. But it got the job done. Would be awesome to have one that actually works. Especially considering I need to put a factory height sight back on my Walther PDP.

Should use 3/4" pine boards like you have there and compare different calibers, Kentucky ballistics used to do it, But he doesn't do it no more. And I keep emailing and Commenting. I need that bad boy because no matter how carefully I tippy tappy my rear sights on my EDC, I CANNOT get it perfectly centered. Been dealing with it for a while and tried a million times. I'd rather not rely JUST on knowing how my gun shoots to be accurate. I'd sleep better KNOWING it was perfectly aligned! No more pulling shots

I guess that SLAP round just didnt have the kinetic energy to power through all those plates like the larger rounds. Kinda shows even with it's hard core that is very capable of penetrating armor it's in no way an all rounder and other rounds are better against perhaps cover rather than conventional armor?
I 've needed a sight pusher several times this year. It would be nice for me and my buds to have one handy.
If you guys ever get the funds you should try to locate a PTRD in 14.5. That should put on a better show than even 20mm for youtube purposes.

I think cast iron would shatter like a ceramic.
No not cast iron they were a thin steel with ceramic coating

Love the videos. I could use one of those sight pushers for my many iron sight pistols that need to be adjusted and to replace my dying tritium ones.
I desperately need a siting tool. I have 3-9MM's and I know that two are dead on so the other is not Me it's the first pistol I bought. It's a Beretta clone. The Taurus P92 and I can't hit crap with it. It needs help. I would be grateful to receive the sighting tool. I would buy one but I'm caring for my elderly father that's a Navy Vet and there's not much money left after everything He requires. He's quite expensive. It's really sad. I know it would be extremely similar to the 308 slap in performance, but do they make a 30-06 slap round? I would love to see some if there are any!

What is it about anyone who shoots and having to find the bullet? I'm guilty of it and I don't know why. Just have to find that mangled up lump of lead to see if it looks like one those perfectly opened up examples in the advertisements I guess.

Are you guys sure that was an authentic SLAP round? I can attest from personal experience out of an M40A5 a SLAP round went through an aluminum engine block and the firewall to end the drivers existence.

I really need a sight pusher.i don't use red dots and I have tried to move my sight the old way and we all know how that goes.i really don't have the money to buy a big fancy tool all of my money goes to my kids and bills that's why I don't use red dots I can't afford them
