- We build an iconic landmark to create a sense of time and place - a rooftop sign above the now demolished Pepsi Bottling Plant in Queens, NY. Built in HO Scale.

Great sign Doug! Very cool how you showed to keep the laser frame as a template to mount the lettering on the billboard structure. Especially with such a large billboard layout, that’s very helpful.

I saw that Pepsi sign all throughout my childhood in the 60s and 70s and your rendition truly evokes the feeling and sense of place. An awesome addition to your layout!

When I moved to NYC in 1979, I stayed at the 47th St. YMCA. My view was looking east across the East River at that Pepsi-Cola sign! Breaks my heart that the landmark building 1:01 was destroyed but grateful that the iconic sign was saved!

Doug, I love your videos, but portions of the audio are almost inaudible. I have my volume turned to the max both in CZcams and on my computer. Perhaps you can boost the gain on your audio track just a bit?
And how about making a smaller version of the sign for sale by FOS? Or do you run into copyright issues?

I have an idea for you. Why dont you make sheets of laser cut signs? There are tons of kits out there, but not many, if any, signs. My layout is lacking the kind of signs you and Jason Jensen make. Most of us dont have the ability to use illustrator etc to design these. Jason has a unique and cool sign on almost all his buildings, some of which come from your kits. Plus signs are multi scale, they could sell to all the scales. Im in Sn3 and there is nothing. We need cool signs!!
