  • Flight Formula: Innova Destroyer
You’ve been playing disc golf for a while now. You’re throwing pretty hard and know how to get a disc’s nose down. As you stand on the tee, eyeing the distant basket, you need a disc that matches your power and precision. If it’s far away AND there’s wind, you probably need a Destroyer.
Flight rated at [12|5|-1|3], the Destroyer isn't a beginner disc. Its [12] speed requires a good bit of velocity to get moving, offering extreme control to those who can match its pace and manage the aggressive nose.
Once it’s spinning, the Destroyer's [5] glide shines as it effortlessly cuts through the air, whether it’s windy or not. This high-speed glide, paired with its [-1] turn and [3] fade, strikes a perfect balance for hard-throwing disc golfers, unlocking its maximum distance without compromising accuracy.
There is a reason the Destroyer is the world’s #1 choice. Whether you have a booming backhand or just some nice pop on your forehand flex, you need a disc you can trust, which is why the Destroyer is in more pro-level bags than any other; but the Destroyer does require skill and power to fly properly, so although intermediate to advanced players may appreciate its qualities, conquering the Destroyer demands quite a bit of nose control.
When thrown flat, the Destroyer exhibits a subtle turn followed by a reliable fade, making it ideal for a power helix or a sweeping skip finish. Turn the Destroyer over a bit and watch it really go, while its pronounced fade fights to stay straight as long as you’ll let it.
Once mastered, there's no substitute for the reliability and predictability of the Innova Destroyer. It's the ultimate distance disc for the experienced disc golfer.

I have an amazing destroyer in my bag. I have two aces with it and the way it holds the flat glide with its reliable fade at the end matches my style perfectly. Not even a regular 400 ft thrower, but I get everything I want from this particular disc.
I will say that most destroyers I have thrown are very easy to saw off at first because of the over stability. But once you work them in over time they are some of the best discs to bag for sure.

The Destroyer was probably within my first handful of drivers as a player, though it was in Blizzard plastic and super light. I had no business throwing it but somehow i got lucky on a short hole and got an ace after just a couple of months of playing. I've been quite humbled since then 😂

One of the greatest discs ever created! Unfortunately, 96.3% of disc golfers have no business throwing it.

That’s why the Wraith is better. Even GG relies on it, and he’s no slouch!

I disagree anyone who can throw 300 should have one for a distance flex shot and once broken in they become usable for most people.

@@Reversingthelies that’s fair. I think of it as a 400’+ disc, but if you have 300’ of power, you can get some great flex lines. lol ignorantly bought Calvin’s Halo destroyer which is an absolute beef cake, so I can only use it for short FH flex lines

Rats I can't throw it fast enough. With Hazer it turns left and crashes to the earth.
