I had a Quickbooks practice for a number of years and now have been implementing Sage Intacct for the past 10 years. I’m an Army veteran and the Finance Officer for an American Legion post. I put them on Quickbooks years ago and just moved them to QBO to modernize their systems since they have a building, tenants, and a banquet hall. Will be implementing QB payroll and Tsheets for the employees and really enjoy watching your videos. Keep up the good work.
Thank you Hector! You hit the nail on the head by mentioning the fine line Intuit walks between supporting the technical side of their software and the difference with trying to be the answer to accounting challenges at the same time. If only....if only they could get their act together with their payroll product
I used QB for 10 years before leaving bookkeeping in 2008. Now I've been hired as a live bookkeeper, and have a lot of brushing up to do. Hopefully, I can be part of the improvement of the support side. Thank you, Hector. You were referred to me by my new QBO manager. 😀
Thank you Hector! You inspired me to use Quickbooks even though I'm here in the Philippines using it in my small business. Even though I'm a licensed Architect, I love my relationships to my Quickbooks as well.
Thank you for the great video, Hector! If there's a way to have just one subscription for multiple companies, I will switch from Dekstop version to the online version. Even with the desktop version getting more expensive, it's still cheaper than multiple online subscriptions. I'm looking forward to a video that talks about a workaround, if there's any, to have one subscription for multiple companies, or why workaround is a bad idea.
Thank you Hector for your great videos. What I find funny is that here in Australia, QBO is the underdog and Xero is the market leader with the more expensive product. It is almost the opposite to the US. Whilst QBO support can be improved, in Australia it is still better than the competition, which really suck at support. Our main problem here with QBO is that most third party apps are xero centric rather than cater for QBO, but I am hoping that as QBO grabs a greater share here, that this may change. I use QBO, Xero and MYOB for my clients in my Accounting practice.
I had two problems with quickbooks online that issues is like this. 1. Foreign currency balance or total is not get there and other problems is 2. Multiple currencies some countries is not in the list eg South Sudan Please help me these problems
Smart companies around the world (esp. American companies) will find a way to beat Intuit and get rid of toll roads in business. Accounting hasn’t changed in 100+ years
Hector thank you for your content I’m a long time qb desktop user but since they are going to stop supporting my desktop 2020 version I went to online version using the migrate tool within the desktop pro. My question is on desktop version I go to my customer and it shows all the transactions in online version when I do that it has the charts but it’s not showing any payments. Am I doing something wrong or data transfer messed it up ?
I dislike that the support fora closes too many queries with "Contact the engineers", and 3, 4 year later the issues are not resolved. The international version I started using could not even print cheques , or integrate with pdf ,on pre printed forms and we had to switch to US version. The switching was difficult.
Hi Hector, do you know why "undefined online banking matches" still appears even if we do the matching upon reviewing the transaction? Actually it only happens to our paypal account. Other accounts are working fine. Thanks
Hi Hector. Great video as always. I have been watching your videos to learn more about QB Desktop and QBO Advanced features. Wanted to understand your take on the challenges mid-sized customers will face in QBO Advanced assuming they are already using QB Desktop. Will the biggest challenge be learning curve moving from Desktop to Online or limited feature set in QBO Advanced as compared to QB Desktop Premier/Enterprise. Would appreciate your inputs.
Pros: When it works it works well Cons: When it doesn't work it's 90% of the time due to absolutely terrible UX design creating catastrophic consequences with no undo or restore option unlike any normal software developed in the last 3 decades requiring hours of non billable time to fix with very little useful support during very limited hours
We live in the country and they wanted $ 13,000 to install internet, the Covid came and there was a grant and they ran the lines to our entire neighborhood for free 😍 I’ve been debating for sometime now, QB Desktop or QBO….ugggh
Thank you. One more important question, is it still true that if I purchase the Advanced level to set-up everything because it is so complex starting from the beginning... can I then CHANGE to a level or two below? I have very few employees and expenses are not that complex that I will likely be able to manage with the more limited but still valuable Plus or Essential. The Quick books site does not mention this on the 30day trial page. Thank you
Hello Hector, trying to get started with a new medical specialist clinic.. some of your videos from last year had a link with a discount to Quickbooks - does that still exist?
Agree that support is not great. But QBO is absolutely not a piece of junk. Which cloud based accounting software is better? You cant compare it with Desktop, is apples and oranges.
@@HectorGarciaCPA how is that apples and oranges ? Both do bookkeeping. There is this big hype about using the cloud for everything and that it is better which clearly is not the case for QB.

I really like Sage Intacct…
QBO is really incredible and a value-driven tool.
Both are my top favorites…

Talk to me about what you need in the payroll product.

Awesome
Great video, very good guidance when selecting what version of QuickBooks to purchase. Very transparent and honest advice.
:)
Thx for honesty...I had a fit when I saw QuickBooks live!
Me too… but got over it, and focused on the things I can control

I agree.. multi currency needs some work. I don’t know the Solutions sorry

Practices of Accounting haven't, but government rules change constantly

Hi sir. Can you clear a doubt?. I want to know how to transfer profit to the reserve or retained earnings account. How to do in quickbooks online
That’s a question for your accountant. Touching retaining earnings is a difficult thing to do
I dislike that the support fora closes too many queries with "Contact the engineers", and 3, 4 year later the issues are not resolved.
The international version I started using could not even print cheques , or integrate with pdf ,on pre printed forms and we had to switch to US version.

Yea, I wish they made the international version better since it’s the only one we can turn SPANISH LANGUAGE on
Agree with all the things you mentioned!
Great!

Well, I don’t think mid-size companies are going to migrate to QBO any time soon… unless they add more apps like Locate or MethodCRM
Buen video. Podrá ser traducido al español. Gracias y éxitos para todos.
Yo no traduzco todos los videos, recomiendo usar el caption
QB allows different journal entries to be made on different dates for the same journal entry number....is there any solution to avoid this problem?
No

Could you tell me how to unpin a note on a customer on quickBooks!
Check on the pin Icon, but you need to have a different note to pin

No true at all…. Its totally seamless to transaction back and forth
Hector, is quickbooks online used by accountants? If it is, what is the cost? Per client or per user? Thanks
Is per client from $17.50 to $140 per month depending on the version
What about the risk of a Ransomware attack on QB Online. What happens if Intuit gets hacked.
I guess it would be as chaotic as Gmail servers being attacked.
So while plausible, extremely unlikely.
Hello Hector, trying to get started with a new medical specialist clinic.. some of your videos from last year had a link with a discount to Quickbooks - does that still exist?
The discount still applies, but is 30% for 12 months
Support so sucks totally agree
It should get better
he's the best
He he, thanks :)
Awesome brother 👏🏾 ! I appreciate you very much.
Thanks for watching
QB online is the biggest piece of junk !! What kind of CPA would even consider this garbage ??? Support is awful too

@@wullsch1 its two very different platforms. Nothing on the cloud will ever be as responsive as Desktop native software
Quickbooks online works great until your password gets hacked and someone opens a credit card. Happened to me. I'm done with online.
You cant open credit cards with QB online
@@HectorGarciaCPA quickbooks checking account. Opened within QBO. I consider this to be a credit card since it is not an actual bank.
