I am doing reconciliation for Feb 24l, and bank statement shows transaction on 0210,689.94 for payroll tax payment, via ADP which is set up in QB to run automatically. But on reconciliation page that same transaction is showing on 03/04. I guess payment was withdrawn from bank on 02/29 but paid on 03/024 in QB. How can I fix this the QBO reconciliation shows a difference. Thank you,

Tags may be less rigorous than say, location tracking,. because it does not have a "Not Assigned" catch-basin to add rigor to the tagging process; its more "directional" like for a Marketing Promotions, allowing tags attached to invoices for example

Thank you so much Hector I have been doing Bookkeeping and Accounting since 1979. I’ve seen books on paper, converted to the computer. Different accounting systems. Payroll and Human Resources and that relationship. I recently retired from City University of New York as the Business Affairs Manager for a division of the college. When I first started there, believe it or not, they were still doing things on paper. So I bought QuickBooks and started using it. We last updated QuickBooks in around 2010. We never used Quickbooks online. Now, I want to get my own clients and do their books ONLINE. When I want to. I was wondering about how I can get some clients and I wasn’t so sure about QuickBooks Pro Advisor. You have convinced me that is the way to go. I recently started helping my friend’s niece with her books bc she has QuickBooks online. I find it to be almost like QuickBooks desktop except much better. I don’t think I need to be a certified bookkeeper as my degree is in business management and human resources but I am thinking I need to be a QuickBooks pro advisor. I am the person who likes to talk to people and get the details I need. I think that’s why people keep coming back and asking me questions. I thank you so much for this video. It can help me keep doing what I enjoy.

Hello Hector. I had scheduled a payment for some vendor bills. The bills got marked as paid, and a bill payment transaction had been posted in QBO. Few days later, the payment returned canceled, and the funds are shown as refunds in the bank feeds (the banks are synched with QBO). How to clear the refunded amount shown in the Bank feeds, and how to reopen the closed vendor bills marked as paid in order to pay them.

Best QBO tutor! What would explain a transaction that is a "deposit" also showing up as a "payment" when I try and reconcile? Do you have a video that shows steps from invoicing a customer, to receiving payment (placing in undeposited funds), then making a deposit to the correct bank account, and then reconciling when using the bank link? Thanks for the video as method 2 will really help clean up out P&L. I think. So i have an issue in desktop where it tells me that i can't enter a negative value. Is this just a desktop issue? So we have products that use raw material. That material is included in the part price but the customer pays for bulk of that material upfront. So for example, we purchase $10,000 worth of material, customer pays me for that material. We then make parts over time using that material and charge $5 per part. $3 of that part is material. So I make the customer 100 parts. Charge them $500 and need to credit them back $300 all in one invoice and the credit needs to be visible on the invoice. Method 2 looks like it should work for this except it won't let me put in negative values. Thanks again.

Hello Hector. Thank you so much for the video. What if intercompany A pays intercompany B’s credit card bill? How to categorize it? I’m a little bit confused because I’ve seen that it was categorized as transfer- transfer to due to/from B. Or expense it in company A side and make a journal entry in company B side? Please let me know which way is correct or any correct way.

We are new to QBO and use progress invoicing. We do cost plus projects and i am needing to link billable expenses to estimates. When progess invoicing a customer lets say for multiple "framing material" bills, I select manual entry for my invoice but when I add the billable expenses it is adding an additional line rather than taking it out of the line item in the estimate. Can you provide any clarity on this?
