I met Billy outside the Orange Peel after the residency show on July 2, and one of his bodyguards told me I was "too close to Billy"--which made no sense because I wasn't even that close and I'm non-threatening. Anyway, I love Billy, but I believe Bradford here. Billy, if you are reading this: Indie musicians and alternative musicians come from the same universe. There's no point in demeaning indie. I like The Smashing Pumplins (their first 3 albums anyway), but it is always been known that Corgan is a huge asshole, from the very beggining, so, no surprise there. This kinda goes along with John Oliver's "Sausage Principle", which goes: If you love something, never find out how it was made (or, in this case, who made it).

Why did this guy think he was entitled to just take what was obviously carefully arranged, expensive water? Did he buy the water himself? If the answer is no, why was he so taken aback by being confronted for taking something that didn't belong to him? Sure, there was no need for him to be pushed up against a wall, but there was also not a valid reason for him to just take someone else's water because he's thirsty.
