I met Billy Corgan on Whyte Ave, in Edmonton back in the mid 90's. He was coming out of Chapters Book store. My GF asked if we could take his picture, or get a picture with him. He said "I only do One of those." Dude was so chill, pretty playful. He made her guess which one lol. We gave her camera to his body guard, who took a few pics of the 2 of us with Billy. I've met a few Rockstars, and Billy was easily the most fun and human. He took his time with us, and laughed, and smiled. Made us feel special actually. Super cool guy.

Billy Corgan is actually delightful, intelligent and fun. He is so interesting and engaging in his conversation. Let alone being a genius musician. I have and will forever love the Smashing Pumpinks.
He is smugnorant, talentless now, and a complete dick. He needs to fuck off. He can speak fairly eloquently, but that doesn’t make him anything special. He’s a pompous rock star. Barf.

Hell...their last album of that era...Machina II(just a toss-off free album) is fucking amazing. So.....all that said, I'm a fan lol. And I really enjoyed this podcast. Billy circa-now is actually a pretty cool human being. He's quite smart...but also increidbly odd and unique, but very aware of that...and just going after what he wants in life.
Gi joey early 90's pumpkins ran MTV.. with 1979, bullet with butterfly wings, 33, tonight tonight, zero. 3 of which hit number 1 and tonight tonight won song of the year
Gish, Siamese Dream, Pisces Iscariot, Melon Collie and the Infinite Sadness - certainly some of the best albums of the 1990s and possibly some of the best albums ever made.
I know, he gets all of life as concepts, organized and gets how it all reacts with each other. Then states it so well. At the end of every thought I couldn't have a response. It's always complete.
Its amazing how much of a genius Billy is. I was in school when the scene blew up with Nirvana Pearl Jam & Alice n Chains and it was amazing but people forget how huge Smashing Pumpkins was. They were big time and what a superb time in music history.
Jayson Sneaux yeah they were just as big as those band but the problem was they started hitting peaks at the end of the grunge wave, Mellon collie was a huge peak album and that came out 4 years after nevermind and ten, and soundgarden, those bands kinda lost steam by the end of 94, pumpkins blew up right around early 94 with Siamese dream and the b-sides album, Gish didn’t have the impact like ten or nevermind, it wasn’t until MC in 95 when that came out they were peak fame, that was after Kurt died so it was late
Most people don't know Billy was a talented athlete in the day.I used to play football with him every once and a while and the guy could throw the ball. Also the guy is a really hard worker,I remember them playing at small clubs, in the early 90s ,to crowds of 50 people sometimes less. The band kept gringing it out until Joe Shanahan(owner of the Metro) took them under his arm and really helped the Pumpkins get launched onto the national music scene.
Hector Merc Hell ya!!! Amen me too! I met a younger guy the other day about 15 and when I told him I grew up in the nineties he said “wow like w Nirvana, no internet, cell phones and last of the good music!”
Trent Reznor would be great but Edgy Bravo would have to be there because liked Corgan, Reznor is a total pro and knows how to stay in his comfort zone, talking about the things he's recited time and time again, as eloquent and engaging as he always is. I think Bravo would throw him some real curve balls given the opportunity and I'd like to hear Reznors take all things Eddie, hoping he wouldn't just brush it all off.
I've seen Billy on numerous interviews. Never have I seen him flip flop on ideas just to please the host or audience. The one thing I can appreciate about Billy the most is his fresh perspectives on life. Joe you have to get him on your show again.
Billy Corgan is a fucking genius and his songs got me through elementary/middle school lol. "The world is a vampire" is so much truer today and it was then!
Best JRE interview I've ever seen. Joe did a good job asking questions and allowing a fully articulated response. Billy Corgan was very interesting to listen to and was refreshingly honest and candid with his comments. A+
Agreed. What a great, great, guy. Super informative and opening episode from one of the bands of my youth. I'm an '88 baby and a 90's kid, so SP was my shit back in the day when I shouldn't have been into it. So great.
It presents the man and the artist the way he had to be to make the art he did, and a human being who was born of course not understanding all that he had yet to learn.
Definitely one of my top five guitar players. As far as his playing I think he’s under rated. If you listen to Siamese Dream from start to finish you’ll understand what I mean. Such a great album
I feel like we often come here to shit on Joe or the guest, but no complaints on this one. And I have to say that I really noticed that Joe seemed on point and focused with his questions today. Did a really good job of leading the conversation and drawing thoughtful responses from Billy. Obviously Billy was an extremely eloquent and engaging guest. A good exchange of energy regardless. Loved this one.
I agree to what you said 100% well said! I come here cause I think Joe has a great mind and with his popularity he’s able to pull some pretty interesting guests. Not to hang on his nuts I just like the guy!
Billy is so articulate and interesting. Such sophisticated views insight awareness and opinions. Amazing to see a completely new view of music. I really respect him. This was quite unexpected. What an interview. Really interesting guy and life. I have a renewed appreciation for him and completely different outlook from all the hate I hear. I enjoyed this as much as any interview I've ever seen. What a complex intelligent guy. He is a cultural icon. Cheers Billy, you are a true artist and a sincere person.
I actually wonder if this conversation sparked other conversations with people that helped structure the deal Joe wanted vs the one he might have signed.
Hey no one can go to comedy club or any sports entertainment so no money is coming in... he has a family. He know this deal is good for him and family financially. He was smart and decided that this what he loves to do and good at..will get him over monetarily do to a pandemic. The virus has ruing all restaurant, retail shopping, theaters, you should bow ..for he will come out through the other side of the muck ..while others will not probably come out of at all.
Thats because all those other interviews are the same ol bullshit..."so who are your influences," "Whats your favorite color" etc etc, he actually has a chance to have an interesting , compelling conversation not marketed for a 16 year old.
First time I sat through a JRE all the way through. Corgan is so insightful and interesting--wish they kept talking about politics at the end, I could listen for another hour.
Me too, me too. I also was never able to sit through a whole interview. He is such a pleasure to hear, I never knew, with all his vampirish performances. I knew that he was smart and well read, but he feels so grounded too.
Overrated?!!, do you know anything about music? Music theory, structure, and technically they can be called many things , but overrated would be inaccurate.
Only thing overrated is Billy Corgan himself. Without the original lineup his music was average at best. Granted, he did have a few decent songs without the original line up (The Celestials and Pinwheels). But go listen to his solo songs. Most make me cringe. Also...I don't remember which interview it was, but he had trouble recognizing why Dave Grohl from the Foo Fighters remains more relevant than him. That answer is quite simple. Dave is a great guy. He is funny. He treats his bandmates and fans with respect. The Foo Fighters aren't all about him being the genius. The bandmates truly contribute and it often looks like they are having fun doing it. Dave isn't an emo crybaby "artist" blaming everyone for not accepting the newly evolved person he became. Having said all that, Billy is definitely smarter and more eloquent than I'll ever be. That doesn't make him a great person. He seems to blame everything from the fans to the system without taking a good look at himself. I get it though. He wants the Smashing Pumpkins to be something that transcends music and persists long after he's gone. I'm not sure what he means by that, but my guess is he wants each of us to believe we can step outside the contrived "system" and succeed on our own terms. Too evolve as individuals without sacrificing our dignity and dreams for a security blanket.
He should definitely invite more musicians on the show. Hearing different perspectives of the music world is super fascinating, similar to an actor and the crazy world of acting.
GAME_ THEORY agreed. MACHINA is my favorite though. It's kind of the band's swan song in a lot of ways. Unfairly unrecognized but deeply rewarding the more you pay attention to it.
Hearing Smashing Pumpkins brings this memory every time . While i was at Marine Combat Training (MCT), Camp Geiger NC; My Grandfather had passed away. He was in the Army retiring as a LtCol. His passing was during our field week in late 1995 if memory serves. In short I was in a rather low place as one can imagine. On the return hump The platoon Sgt. turned "Bullet With Butterfly Wings" into a road march cadence. I can see him after all this time sounding off on my shoulder keeping me going. Yes we are new Marines and instructors are hard asses. I have much apparition for them looking out for me in difficult times. On a side note The Co 1stsgt asked me if i would be returning home for his funeral. I told him i would not and continue training. My grandfather would have wanted me to stay. We shoke hands and nearly in tears said i have seen many before me who chose to delay their training. Back to training i went. Semper Fi
Incredible podcast! I've been a Pumpkins fan for two decades and have always hoped Billy was a good person and this cemented that. Phenomenal musical ability that shaped everything from that point on. Would kill to see him in an acoustic setting and play whatever he felt! Just made my month hearing this, well done Joe! You the man. Keep it up.
G.I. Jonny you should go to his tea shop Madame Zuzu's in Highland Park Illinois. It's right by my house and sometimes he plays sets there. Mostly just experimental stuff. Also, yeah Billy's a cool guy. My uncle knew Billy in the 90s because he was the lead singer for the Drovers and they were both Chicago guys. That's why I'm a Pumpkins fan today. My uncle gave me Gish on CD as a kid and I've been a fan ever since. If you go to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame there's even a concert poster for a Drovers/Smashing Pumpkins show. Pretty awesome stuff.
This show is a fucking DREAM COME TRUE. Billy corgan was my childhood hero and a huge reason I got into music and guitar. THANK YOU JOE! Keep being amazing bro!!!
Chad Marshall I just don't think Trent is the type of person to talk about everything he does for multiple hours at a time. But if joe could get him on here and talking it would be amazing.
I would love to hear this, it would be among the dream podcasts for me and considering they live in LA maybe it is possible, or maybe get Dave Grohl, but he is on tour so not possible. Joshua Homme would be a good second.
After that Tom DeLonge episode.....I'm genuinely nervous to watch this. I'm a *_HUGE_* Smashing Pumpkins fan....was genuinely obsessed for many years. Not super into the new stuff...at all. But, he's already proven his creative genius many times over, so I'll always be a big fan. But....Billy can get kinda nutty on certain issues. And I just hope to hell he hasn't gone full Tom DeLonge on us.... About to hit play....hoping this'll be a good one!
Ok....big sigh of relief. I'm 20 minutes in, and it's clear this is gonna be a killer episode. If anything, I'm gaining even _more_ respect for Billy than I had before. He has his flaws _for sure_, but he's a legit interesting human. And him and Joe seem to be really clicking. Back to watching!
It was a good album and it sold well but it was a tank. Cuz everyone excepted it to be infinite sadness pt 2. But it wasn’t. So...those are some of the reasons why
I love it, but I remember back in the day that it was too huge of a leap from Mellon Collie. I can understand why it wasn't very popular. Also the music scene at the time was getting pretty aggressive with the rising of nu metal and all.
GongsunXin , true, he does. But it was over the top with this guy. he seemed to be starstruck, like when he had james hetfield and when he had dan bilzarin on. There were tones of ass kissery.
Thank you, I don't remember who told me that but I didn't think Billy was a prick for doing it. First time I heard Mayonaise I had a sonic orgasm, been a fan ever since. I need to check out his new stuff for sure - peace!
I laughed out loud at 21:05 when Joe tries to make a joke about deep dish pizza and Billy just goes "yeah" and a silent moment goes by, then Joe says "yeah." Fuck that cracked me up.
Clinton Leonard you get the same non reaction from any Chicago native when you bring up pizza. My guess is they've heard every possible pizza joke/comment 3x over by the time puberty hits.
I feel emotional when Corgan says he'd do it differently if they got back together with Chaimbs, İHA, Darcy. İ would pay whatever it takes to see the original band. I never got to see Iha and Darcy of which all were great in mine and my brothers view. I still admire them forevermore.
I was never a pumpkins fan. I didn't mind a few songs but I always respected Corgan as a musician but that respect grew after watching this episode. He's such an interesting guy and seems pretty down to earth. I would totally watch a pumpkins reunion concert.
If your a music fan and you get a chance its worthwhile. Its not the same ol formula bullshit concert. He is a true artist. Artistic integrity and an altruistic approach to his fans and music itself are evident when he performs.
Jimmy Chamberlin is a hell of a drummer. That kept me listening to the end. Lots of bands use triggering these days for consistency of sound (not all i.e Ray Luzier etc) but jimmy understands attack and tone and has the technique to do it live, effortlessly. Watch some drum cam gigs.
No I did not. I usually see Joe talking with interesting people, but not really anyone more famous than he is. Even when he was interviewing Jon Jones, who he considers the GOAT, Joe didn't look like he did here.
Gish, Siamese Dream, Mellon collie....some of my favorite albums of all time. Bury me, hummer, drown, mayonnaise, Snail, geek usa...check these songs out if you wanna see some wild alternative music. Great guitar and amazing drums by jimmy chamberlain
I've been a fan of Smashing Pumpkins, and actually never heard an interview with Billy Corgan.... one thing is clear from this interview... Billy is a really cool and genuine guy, and above all, he's a totally highly intelligent genius.
At least billy had the humility to allude to the fact he was talking shit. As for oldmate tom......fuck i thought steven greer was a nutjob. And is it just me or in toms story about the government wanting to get the msg out thru him i thought - how fucking relevant is a dude who was rockin the worlds of teenagers 10-15 years ago.....makes no more sense than little green men i guess
I like this kind of comments. It's like being a Selena Gomez fan and saying "Selena for president!" Stop it. You have no idea what presidents do. They have no power.
Billy is one of the greatest musicians of his generation (Siamese Dream is one of the greatest albums ever written). But the jacket makes him look like Darth Vader without his helmet.
I kept asking "Hey....Billy? Can you put your arms in the sleeves? I mean sure you are doing your same "LOOK AT ALL THE WORK ONLY I DID" spiel and fine....but.....can ya ditch the coat? lol. Glad I wasn't the only one bothered.
Mr. Mojo Risin I'm aware aging and sometimes balding is an inevitable part of life, it was just a joke I am a huge fan of both of them lol don't take me so seriously
Smashing Pumpkins changed my life in a way, because of them I thaught myself how to speak English. Born and raised in Brazil I grew up in the era which we were transitioning from cassette tapes to CDs, I absolutely loved rock, had other bands I really liked as well, Nirvana, Alice in Chains, RATM, RHCP, etc, but Smashing Pumpkins really hit the spot. A lot of people worldwide listen to music in foreign languages, sometimes can even sing along but can't fully understand what they're singing, I used to literally dissect the lyrics, learned to imitate the pronunciation, spelling, reading properly. That opened up a door to my life, today I'm a world traveler, fluent in 5 languages, I can't put a price on that. Besides all that, to me Smashing Pumpkins was the most influential band ever, they rock, I listened later to Swan as well, I wont get too into this subject, I miss SP.

Billy is not what I expected. Smart, articulate, funny, and fun to listen to. Great podcast, my only regret is that I didn’t listen to it sooner.
Joe P hope that helps open your mind to listen to other things outside your own personal views. expansion.
Same here, just now listening.
Billy Corgan is an absolute genius. I love this guy and his mind. I really wish he would come back on this podcast more often.
also when is his book coming out? i would like to buy it. thanks ^-^
Its amazing how much of a genius Billy is. I was in school when the scene blew up with Nirvana Pearl Jam & Alice n Chains and it was amazing but people forget how huge Smashing Pumpkins was. They were big time and what a superb time in music history.
Jayson Sneaux yeah they were just as big as those band but the problem was they started hitting peaks at the end of the grunge wave, Mellon collie was a huge peak album and that came out 4 years after nevermind and ten, and soundgarden, those bands kinda lost steam by the end of 94, pumpkins blew up right around early 94 with Siamese dream and the b-sides album, Gish didn’t have the impact like ten or nevermind, it wasn’t until MC in 95 when that came out they were peak fame, that was after Kurt died so it was late
lost steam at end of 94? lol. it was more like ~1997 when RIAA act ruined music for decades
Lost steam at the end of 94?
I didn’t [forget] ;)
guitarist from Alice In Chains was in B’last for a bit.
One of greatest bands ever.
1979 has a special place in my heart
Same for me i was 13 then-
oink ooink are we talkin’ the actual year 1979 or when the song came out? I’m tryna figure out who’s older lol.
@@demiurge8665 I was talking about the song
DOMTG oh right on, we’re about the same age lol
Same. That song and music video just defines the 90's for me.
I'm a mild Pumpkin fan, but I had always assumed Corgan was insufferable. I was totally wrong, and this is a fascinating interview.
Trey Kalb i think he was labeled “insufferable” or “difficult” or an “asshole” by the music business because he refused to give in and sell out
Met him 4 times. Insanely generous human. Spends hours some tours to interact with fans outside the venues.
Trey Kalb Man, I thought I was the only one that felt this way lol
Trey Kalb
"A mild pumpkin fan" is the gayest thing that anyone has ever said.
Trey Kalb this is good stuff.
Joseph Decorrevont that’s cool
This guy make me feel good about growing up in the 90s. He is legit
Hector Merc Hell ya!!! Amen me too! I met a younger guy the other day about 15 and when I told him I grew up in the nineties he said “wow like w Nirvana, no internet, cell phones and last of the good music!”
William Hinson yup that’s happened to me as well. I feel like when I saw my elders be part of the 70 s and The doors
@@williamhinson4603 Well pretty much everyone had access to the internet by 1997.
I'd love to see Trent Reznor on this podcast.
And Josh Homme
Fuckin oath
Trent Reznor would be great but Edgy Bravo would have to be there because liked Corgan, Reznor is a total pro and knows how to stay in his comfort zone, talking about the things he's recited time and time again, as eloquent and engaging as he always is.
I think Bravo would throw him some real curve balls given the opportunity and I'd like to hear Reznors take all things Eddie, hoping he wouldn't just brush it all off.
Id honestly pay money for that
LV999 Sozk j
After listening to this, have alot more respect for Billy,
Stranger in the Alps Have examples?
Lefty crap? Billy is a staunch Republican.
Man Billy Corgan is seriously super well spoken, humble, and intelligent. He's grown massively
Proto Kevin Leversee humble? His ego is thick
He's so into himself! Haha
Haha he also definitely knew that Marilyn Manson came out of Florida, but just didn't acknowledge it! :P
I've seen Billy on numerous interviews. Never have I seen him flip flop on ideas just to please the host or audience. The one thing I can appreciate about Billy the most is his fresh perspectives on life. Joe you have to get him on your show again.
I would be interested to see M.Manson on JRE
Billy Corgan is a fucking genius and his songs got me through elementary/middle school lol. "The world is a vampire" is so much truer today and it was then!
Best JRE interview I've ever seen. Joe did a good job asking questions and allowing a fully articulated response. Billy Corgan was very interesting to listen to and was refreshingly honest and candid with his comments. A+
When Joe said "Pitbull" and laughed to himself for a good second, I felt that.
He laughed because pitbull sucks.
Pitbull? i thought we were talking about music. lol
Wow, this podcast was awesome. I hope Billy comes back on in the future, what a guest, good snag Joe!
Agreed. What a great, great, guy. Super informative and opening episode from one of the bands of my youth. I'm an '88 baby and a 90's kid, so SP was my shit back in the day when I shouldn't have been into it. So great.
Edward Sulecki totally agree
It presents the man and the artist the way he had to be to make the art he did, and a human being who was born of course not understanding all that he had yet to learn.
I concur.
Definitely one of my top five guitar players. As far as his playing I think he’s under rated. If you listen to Siamese Dream from start to finish you’ll understand what I mean. Such a great album
He is good but that albums sounds great because of his great tone and the overdubs. Btw one of my favorite albums.
@@christiangasior4244 best album ever written

I'm sure you checked out cyr by now?
The Geek USA solo is insane lmfao he’s so underrated
I feel like we often come here to shit on Joe or the guest, but no complaints on this one. And I have to say that I really noticed that Joe seemed on point and focused with his questions today. Did a really good job of leading the conversation and drawing thoughtful responses from Billy. Obviously Billy was an extremely eloquent and engaging guest. A good exchange of energy regardless. Loved this one.
He's back on the cannibus
#Focused
I agree to what you said 100% well said!
I come here cause I think Joe has a great mind and with his popularity he’s able to pull some pretty interesting guests. Not to hang on his nuts I just like the guy!
So boring.zzzzzz
You don’t think joe ended the interview because billy wouldn’t tell the story?
Mitchell Gelz well said!
Oh my! As a Chicago kid growing up late 80's early 90's this was the best JRE ever! Da Bulls!

Yeah, as it turns out, we're all hypocrites.
I actually wonder if this conversation sparked other conversations with people that helped structure the deal Joe wanted vs the one he might have signed.
fuck me, who wouldnt!
Hey no one can go to comedy club or any sports entertainment so no money is coming in...
he has a family. He know this deal is good for him and family financially. He was smart and decided that this what he loves to do and good at..will get him over monetarily do to a pandemic. The virus has ruing all restaurant, retail shopping, theaters, you should bow ..for he will come out through the other side of the muck ..while others will not probably come out of at all.
it's awesome to see billy so happy! i don't think he's ever smiled this much in an interview
Thats because all those other interviews are the same ol bullshit..."so who are your influences," "Whats your favorite color" etc etc, he actually has a chance to have an interesting , compelling conversation not marketed for a 16 year old.
I feel like Billy should be stroking a hairless cat the entire time he was talking through this interview
Haha, good one!
Yes! It's the jacket over the shoulders right?!

Medieval Dead Hahahahahahahahaha

Medieval Dead glorious. Stupendous even.. Well done
First time I sat through a JRE all the way through. Corgan is so insightful and interesting--wish they kept talking about politics at the end, I could listen for another hour.
Gish was their best. Overall, I think they are pretty overrated.
Me too, me too. I also was never able to sit through a whole interview. He is such a pleasure to hear, I never knew, with all his vampirish performances. I knew that he was smart and well read, but he feels so grounded too.
Go check out the Henry Rollins one
Joe got excited when he thought he could buy DMT from Corgan's dad.
😂😂😂
Hahahahahahha💀🔥❤️
Joe **takes a deep breath, opens eyes real wide, leans back, slaps table with open palms** Rogan
Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness was a classic and timeless album. Siamese Dream was really good too.
GAME_ THEORY agreed. MACHINA is my favorite though. It's kind of the band's swan song in a lot of ways. Unfairly unrecognized but deeply rewarding the more you pay attention to it.
Very intelligent and well spoken, also great insight on the music industry. One of my fav episodes so far!
I would absolutely love to see you have an interview with Manson!!!!

Billy Corgan = Awesome. Real down to earth guy, and comes off as honest, not some hollywood PoS worried about his image.

Solid advice Roddy, thx.

The shapeshifting story, the best cliffhanger, now I have to follow Billy until his book is released, brilliant!
Gerardo Vitale did they talk about it in this podcast?

I second that, I love the alt. singer songwritery stuff but metal is my shit. AIC is like a newer darker Black Sabbath.
Yes!!
Call up Trent Reznor and get him on here soon.
Chad Marshall I just don't think Trent is the type of person to talk about everything he does for multiple hours at a time. But if joe could get him on here and talking it would be amazing.
Roger Hoke he’s been on long form interviews before. Maybe not THIS long but I can definitely see him opening up more at this stage of his life.
Theres no way, its too laid back and casual. He never ges into anything non-business related.
Hope it happens.
I would love to hear this, it would be among the dream podcasts for me and considering they live in LA maybe it is possible, or maybe get Dave Grohl, but he is on tour so not possible. Joshua Homme would be a good second.

Billy Corgan was a fascinating listen. Thanks for the great podcast, it was really enjoyable.
True. This is a case where less is more.

YES ! a good omen before I partake! Thank you
Ok....big sigh of relief. I'm 20 minutes in, and it's clear this is gonna be a killer episode. If anything, I'm gaining even _more_ respect for Billy than I had before. He has his flaws _for sure_, but he's a legit interesting human. And him and Joe seem to be really clicking. Back to watching!

100% agree man!! My favourite SP album by far. So great.
I love it, but I remember back in the day that it was too huge of a leap from Mellon Collie. I can understand why it wasn't very popular.
Also the music scene at the time was getting pretty aggressive with the rising of nu metal and all.
It was just one of those albums that felt different from the rest; it felt like the new millennium.

lmao
You can tell Joe truly respects this guy, which is a rarity
not true Joe respects a lot of people xD
Joe said hes a fan of his music
GongsunXin Yeah, what I should of said is that Joe let Billy talk the majority of the podcast, which certainly is rare.
Because he is smart and a critical thinker. He gets such a bad rap.
GongsunXin , true, he does. But it was over the top with this guy. he seemed to be starstruck, like when he had james hetfield and when he had dan bilzarin on. There were tones of ass kissery.
Billy's a really weird, introspective, smart dude. Great interview. Really great questions, and really honest answers ... great episode!!
Wow I was pleasantly surprised at how intelligent this guy is! Great guest
He's a genius
hes a full on jazz musician... gotta be switched on for that
He's always been gifted - I heard he played every instrument except drums on Siamese Dream.
He had to do that due to time running out and being able to get the parts perfect in less time than the others. MCIS is an entire band effort though

Go watch "Vieuphoria"
The best songs were never played on the radio. So if that's all you've heard, you prob don't have an accurate idea about their music as a whole.

Saw one from '94. Dude tore it the fuck up. Sucks he couldn't kick his addiction sooner, the band would of went so much further
oh yeah, because MellonCollie in 1995 did so poorly.

The music from the Smashing Pumpkins gives me very strong emotions. It has something special....i have never felt it with other songs.
Agreed
Any song more than another?
ChrischrosBelgium The band that made me truly appreciate music. BTW I was 9 when I first heard SP and I thank my father for introducing me.
Most of them i guess. But some more then others. And the videos too were very special.
