      budget shoppers in the US can pick up a used 5ti for around 300 bucks, or a new 6ti. a used sl1 is another option.

      Thinking about buying Tokina AT-X Pro 11-16mm f/2.8 DX II(new for 397euros) lenses for my Nikon D7200. I want a wide angle lenses for nature, landscape and night photography, sometimes closer shots like cars etc. Are they worth the money? I am still a beginner, so there is still a lot of confusing stuff for me. Also i found Tokina At-x Pro Dx 11-20mm(used for 399euros) Which one to buy? Can you please give any suggestion? And somehow i cant comment, only reply to someone on videos. @@RealWorld

    First of all , congratulations for your great channel ,i really like your videos which are very easy to watch and up to the point.
    This is the camera i own. My last decent camera was a Minolta with film . .30 years ago.I believe for an amateur dslr is very good with a very easy menu that you can learn quickly. One of the biggest advantage for team Canon is with around 500 euro you can build a very good set of lenses :zoom 10-18,55-250 (along with the included 18-55 kit ) and 24 and 50mm prime.I have also a tamron 100-400 which is a bit too much but i like shooting sports and birds.
    Regards from Greece.

      Thanks for the post/feedback and welcome from the United States!:) Ahhhhh yes, Minolta:). I shot with a film based Canon camera many years ago as well ... funny how the digital world has changed photography:). Regardless of the method (film or digital), the photographer's ability to compose a scene and manipulate the camera is the secrete ingredient to any photo in my opinion:). I really like the fixed 50 as well - relatively affordable and great for various situations.

I really like how you talk about potential shortcomings, but put them in perspective in regards to how it may or may not matter (in this case, the AA and the lack of 4K). • @RealWorld
      @RealWorld  Před 4 lety +1

    Great video.
    Just wanted to know what to choose between t7i and D5600 as a beginner.
    I want to do still photography as well as sports/moving images maybe. And some videos too.
    Should I opt for Nikon just because it gives sharper Images or choose Canon as it does the job for photos and is comparatively better for videography?

    • @ineedagoodusername3164
      @ineedagoodusername3164 Před 5 lety +3

      In the context of sports I would say the Canon is the better option, since it has a better AF system (though the Nikon's will keep up in most still shooting scenarios). In still photography they'd probably both make you happy, though the Nikon will give you sharper, and less grainy images. Apart from that you also need to weigh up the superior build quality and battery life of the Nikon vs the superior ergonomics of the Canon. And most importantly, read some reviews and compare the lenses relevant to you on each system. Bodies are exciting and all, but the lenses are gonna be the ones you keep and that make the most difference to image quality.

    • @RealWorld
      @RealWorld  Před 5 lety +1

      These two cameras are very similar in some respects. I feel the T7i has a slight edge on the video (contains in-body video image stabilization and very good AF system when paired this the STM lens), and I feel the D5600 has a slight edge on photos (Nikon removed the AA filter (anti-alias) which tends to sharpen images slightly). I have a review on the D5600 which can be found here - czcams.com/video/qDeW1PYCnmA/video.html

    • @ineedagoodusername3164
      @ineedagoodusername3164 Před 5 lety +1

      since the IS is digital, couldn't it be simulated in post on the D5600? Also I'd love to see a review of the Pentax K70, since its in the same price bracket and offers some very interesting features.

    • @RealWorld
      @RealWorld  Před 5 lety

      LOL - I thought the same regarding post processing:). In short, yes:). Post processing images and/or video on either camera will yield vary comparable results with each other making them seem very similar:). Nonetheless, Canon's ability to pull focus with buttery smooth results is nice ( I first experienced this my 80D review which can be found here - czcams.com/video/3NdRvq-3hgE/video.html ). Nikon could not hold a candle to Canon in this regard until they released their AF-P lens. This is Nikon's version of the STM lens and results in a silent focus system. The previous AF-S lenses were not good at video AF (lots of focus hunting, etc.). The AF-P lens in included in the D5600 kit which is nice and seems to work well.

    Great vid as usual. I'm using a D3300 currently. I love the sharpness of the sensor. But, even with my 35mm f/1.8 I find that the AF is slow. Even worse with the 18-200mm. Wonder if I should head back over to Canon. I've had Canon since 2005(XT, 40D, 5DII, 7D) switched to Nikon just to see what I was missing and get a lighter weight system as well. Overall I've been happy, but the AF speed and accuracy is annoying.

      @RealWorld  Před 5 lety +1

      Thanks for the post/question and glad to be of help!:) Both are solid - they share the same sensor and resolution and will result in very similar image quality. The m50 ( amzn.to/2W4LIU1 ) is mirrorless and has a smaller form factor compared to the T7i. In addition, the m50 has more focal points (143 vs 45) which can be nice for fast moving subjects. As expected, the T7i has a much better battery life (600 shots vs 235). If form factor is a consideration, I might lean towards the m50. If not, either will work fine:).

      If you are on a relatively tight budget, I might recommend the Nikon D3400 ( amzn.to/2gjCOdW ) or the Pansonic G7 ( amzn.to/2DqL8XC ). The D3400 might take slightly better images in my opinion but the G7 is loaded with features and both are relatively affordable:).

    Thanks for this great video! I'm torn between this camera and the Nikon D5600. Leaning toward the Canon (because of the better AF functionality in video mode), BUT the fact that the Canon has anti-aliasing (and the Nikon doesn't) has caused analysis-paralysis! :-) . Do the still photos on the Nikon look noticeably better, due to the lack of anti-aliasing, or is it basically an ignorable thing? Thanks!

Is it incredible noticeable? No, not in my opinion:). If you did not plan to shoot any video, I might lean towards the D5600. The D5600 can shoot video as well and does a good job, but I give the edge to Canon's STM lenses and AF system - they are solid when it comes to video in my opinion:). • @RealWorld
      @RealWorld  Před 5 lety

      Thanks for the post/question!:) Ahhhh yes, the Olympus!:) I have not had my hands on one in many months. The Olympus is a solid camera with a few notable features - high max shutter speed (1/8000 vs 1/4000 found in the D5500 (Nikon does not make a D5400:))), fast continuous shutter speed (15 fps), and in body stabilization which is nice, however this camera contains a smaller sensor compared to Nikon and Canon and has a short battery life. Many might say the micro 4/3rds is fine in most situations. Nonetheless, I like a larger sensor for various reason unrelated to print:).

I did not post any resulting photos from my phone as the trip was focused on creating a photo adventure using a DSLR. Nonetheless, some of the images were not bad:).
