You have such a nice build. I hope you make more videos.
I am a brand new Mojave owner and this was the most helpful video I have seen this far on how to lift mine. Thank you. Sub earned!!! Looking forward to seeing your channel grow! Cheers!
I am glad that you found that video helpful. That's what we try to do with the channel is just put out information and hopefully someone gets something out of it. The "Overlanding" space is very broad and there is so much gear out there it's hard to decide sometime what to go with. Thanks for your support!!
When you were running 35x12.50r17 with the -12 offset with the 2" aev did you have to use any backspacing? Cut/trim anything? Was there any rubbing? I just got the same lift wanting to run 17x9 -12 black rhino wheels on nitto trail grapplers 35x12.5r17. Thanks
I didn't have any rubbing and didn't trim anything either. I'm running 37s with the same lift and no issues either.
Did you replace the factory lower control arms with longer mopar control arms to correct the caster?
No, we went with the AEV Geometry Correction brackets. I have had no issues after about 6 months of driving and off-roading.
Nice build man. Are you rockin 37X12.50's? I just ordered the AEV for my Mojave and can't wait to see how she looks.
Those are actually 35x12.50, but I am running 37x12.50 now.
@@SuaSponteOverland They just looked bigger I guess because of the neg offset. I'm trying to get into this overlanding thing with my mojave. little by little cause... well. money right? Getting the AEV 2" lift and 37x1250's this weekend... then in few weeks regearing to 5.13.... then who know. I like you Fishbone rack. That might be my next month or two thing... anyway, love your baby there.
@@samhouston5217 you'll be happy with the 37s, talk to your off-road shop about going the 5.13s. I did a lot of research and talked to several off road shops and went with 4.88s. not to say that is the best set up, but I love it. I know there are so many options it's hard to decide on what is right sometimes. Good luck.
@@SuaSponteOverland Thanks man, will do. all the best.
@samhouston5217 post a pic when you're done. Would love to see your set up. I just bought a 2023 mojave and got the aev lift too. Just trying to figure out the wheel/ tire configuration cause the dealership said 37s won't fit.... which I can clearly see that they can.
What size tires are you running on your mojave? I have one and have 35s but I wanted to add the aev 2 inch lift also.
I have 35s now. I had them when it was stock. I've had friends that run 37s with the AEV 2inch no problem.
I saw you added geometry correction brackets for the control arms, but did you get new front and rear track bars?
What wheels and offset are you using?
They are the Fuel Beast deep dark tint with a -12 offset.
@@SuaSponteOverland How much do they sick out compared to the OEM Jeep wheels? Also, what size are they.
I’m looking to go 17x9 zero offset, in the all black Fuel Cycle
@@pjfan173 they won't stick out significantly then a stock well unless you go with wider tires. My stick out much more because I went with 12.50 wide tires. A zero offset will definitely bring the wheel and tire in closer to the axle a bit though.
3 month thoughts ? Still happy ?
I am very happy. I have driven back down to Florida with my overland trailer and I have been on Windrock wheeling, and have done a bit of overlanding with it. Very much worth the investment.
@@SuaSponteOverland sweet, safe travels.
