Hi❤❤
Is this what having a loving father is like
Enjoy my son
Are you going to start calling him daddy? Or do you already do that? ;)

@@InsanityorNothingHonestly your name fits you.
And I also adore it
In the 1.37 inca changelog it has been confirmed that accepting a royal marriage from Burgundy also makes u eligible for the inheritance now. :)
Every time redhawk says ,,below zero" I can only hear ,,beloozero" and get flashbacks from my hideous campaign

I have been blessed.

FYI, you don't need to no CB the protestants. Just declare on their allies and call them in. You can also co-beligerate other countries to draw in a protestant. In the video he No-CB'd nassau, but they were allied to his neighbor loraine. All he had to do was declare on loraine. I've also had to do chains when I don't border their ally. EX you want nassau, they are allied to loraine and loraine is allied to Gelre which you do have a border with. You declare on Gelre, co-beligerate loraine, then loraine calls in nasau.
It makes the wars a bit bigger, but by this stage you're just bashing HRE minors. It's much less painful than No CBing a bunch of countries.
ye, it hurt to see, when Nassau had a few allies who can be main target and he still no cb
Frankfurt too had a ton of allies to declare on, unless they're too large you can force religion on a non co belligerent.
Babe wake up, new Red Hawk just dropped. Love your vids man
Enjoy!
Take a shot every time Hawk says “obviously”
Are you trying to kill us all? xD
11:05 in the update that comes alongside the dlc this bug will finally be fixed so this information is outdated.
I don't know whether that was just the pre-release patch they have but Laith had some weird behaviour with it in his video where it looked as if it gave the PU to nobody. So still better safe than sorry to send the request yourself, even if not strictly necessary anymore.
@@DylanSargessonthis is a bug that already exist in 1.36, it happens when Burgundy strongest ally is a republic that can have royal marriges (florance in laiths case)
Good stuff, a quick tip from The Student: support rebels is a great option to gain a CB on a nation you don't border/have a claim on. And yes, you can take provinces in a Support Rebels CB
Thanks for the guide!
Dang it! These 1.37 pre-release runs from the CZcamsrs are killing me. I have no idea who I want to play first now. Yesterday, I even considered playing Venice after Ludi's video...Venice, of all things...at least Hawk has saved me by enticing Austria...
Gotta be Austria bruh
The answer is always Timurids!
For newer players, I'd also mention that you should definitely divert trade from all your HRE vassals. This will give you total control over all european trade nodes, which will net you more money than you'll know what to do with.
I believe, and could be wrong, that paradox fixed the burgundian inheritance event so that even if you accept their RM offer it will still trigger. It was in the patch notes under the gameplay fixes I think
If you check the patchnotes, they made it to where accepting a royal marriage from burgundy still works for the burgundain inheritance.
Nice Video! 32:16 apperently this got changed now, and you can pick to inherit Burgundry even if they sent the royal marriage.
Hope the bug gets fixed, i would be so annoyed if i played it day of and didnt get the right CB. Bless you, Hawk!
I think what's really good for any run where you want to Revoke is to not let the Imperial Authority go to waste by using the 'Bestow Imperial Grace' diplo action on nations whom don't support the next reform. This way you won't need that much microing, since you can get these countries like you faster, while also doing something with your excess IA
I've always wondered why no one talks about this it's basically free ae, but I think it's super micro heavy which makes it annoying for most people.
Ahhhhh the video to fall asleep to, have a good night fellow map painters.
Been looking forward to seeing how the new tree plays! Thanks for such a long video!
Hawk playing Austria is always enjoyable to watch! ❤
Looking forward to your videos of the other updated nations in 1.37
Edit: I noticed that they changed some province names in the Austria Region, now they are named like we Austrians would pronounce them in Austrian german slang.
it's really a shame they didn't do a bit of an overhaul on the HRE mechanics. There's literally no reason for Decentralize to exist.
It seems fun for multiplayer if the HRE members are cooperating
It will definitely be my first playthrough of the new dlc, amazing opening!
@6:45 you can spend 4 imperial authority to bestow imperial grace on 4 electors right off the bat. They are already voting for you and their opinion is high enough that the +41 will put them over the 75 threshold required.
This is awesome bro! Can’t wait for this!
This will be my goodnight video tonight, cant wait!
Hey Redhawk! I am a somewhat casual EU4 player slooooowly grinding through the achievements and love using your guides! It would be awesome if you could timestamp some events that occur at random times, especially major events like HRE Incidents in this video, so that I don't have to scroll through the whole video looking for it. Love the content!
Congrats on the sponsorship, couldnt believe my eyes when I saw this was a new video!
played Theodoro in E-Access, the new Gothic Invasion mechanic is definitely something worthy of a Red Hawk challenge imo.
I still suck at this game and dont really understand most of it, but these videos are super helpful. Thanks man!
It takes many hours to master. I have over 7,000 hours in the game and still find myself learning something new every now and again!
How ive been waiting for this!
There should be a cleansing heresy CB available for the emperor to deal with the centers of reformation in a less wacky way than going around making claims bordering claims or no-CB wars, imo.
34:20 I appreciate them making this an option for those of us who prefer vassal/Junior partner gameplay. I actually like when Burgundy is able to stick around a while as my junior partner as opposed to nearly instantly inheriting them and getting awful borders.
Amazing stuff! I can't wait to try this dlc out
hint for a starter... if you really rush downsubjugating bohemia at the starts, can even allie and promise poland land, hire mercs with siege pips etc then you can trigger the polish PU mission before they get the lithuanian pu. means you dont have to cut down poland in annoying wars but just get poland complete easy. and lithuania in a seperate cause size only matters the moment you click the mission
Hi Hawk, great vid thanks for the guide.
I would like to share one optimization we could consider in order to spare diplo points. It is to bestow imperial grace on all the italians right before taking first imperial reform (as you had 60+ imperial authority). With the additionnal +50 from the mission, that would make rein in Italy possible with far less diplo interaction.
1:11:42 Romania has pretty solid defensive ideas so if you do this and then keep them as a march they’re actually really useful for fort occupation during wars.
If you have no CB on heretic princes you can also declare on their allies that you can reach
extra tip, for the shadow event I recommend improving relation with Italian nation up to 100 before clicking the mission : Italian ambition. Like this you can instant click the mission rein in Italy and they stay no problem with anything else
Man, i slept in the middle of your video... This how your voice is so nice and chill man
If someone you attack is allied to an Italian country, defeating the Italian country in the war reins them in and you do not need to ally them, even if the imperial incedent has not fired yet.
The value of the subjugation CB on the italians isn't to actually subjugate them, you use the CB to beat them in a war, and just peace out for ducats.
@37:15 instead of wasting your diplo slots for a few months allying everybody and then breaking those alliances once you rein them all in, I suggest improving relations with all of them starting once you accomplish the mission to get 4 electors opinion over 100 and voying for you. You can get and maintain +100 opinion with all the Italian states before The Shadow Kingdom event triggers, couple that with the +50 modifier from that mission you just took and you have +150 for sure, not mentioning the +10 same faith modifier. Dont waste your time and diplo points allying and breaking those alliances a month later. You can also Bestow Imperial Grace if needed (like if they rival you for example - Savoy!), which you will get back for accomplishing the Shadow Kingdom event.
To make the Hapsburg family privilege more threatening.
- make events where if you strengthen it (lose crownlands), the modifiers become positive, but negative (gain crownlands) makes modifiers worse.
Howover to prevent spam of meta privileges, if below a threshold (5 or 10% crownland) or a certain amount of influence (50/60 and higher) instigates Hapsburg civil war and breaks up austria into styria, triol, and austria proper.
Tiny bit more flavor for an already outstanding tag
@28:30 instead of taking provinces from Bosnia, you could have left them as is and then warned Ragusa. That way Ragusa couldnt attack Bosnia, you dont take up valuable governing capacity and you still get to integrate Bosnia into the HRE later.
Damm, I see why it took so long. Good stuff man
1:31:01 Emperor can take/core any province inside HRE in war peace deal, circumventing any normal coring rules. So could've declared on Köln right away, took the 2 provinces on the side, which would've flipped him into full protestant and then declare another war right after
Small note about the Burgundian succession:
It's ok to accept a royal marriage offer from Philippe. It's only once Charles is on the throne that you need to send it.
Often times I'll accept Philippe's request just so that I know when he dies, because Charles will send an offer as soon as Philippe dies and breaks the royal marriage.
I am so glad for name change to Austrian Empire, looks beautiful
Great content!
Hey RedHawk Love your guides, they made the game a lot more enjoyable for me.
Can you do Guides on nations you havent ever covered yet, like Hordes (Oirat) or in this new update american nations
or Guides on more general concepts like wars sometimes you say a war should be easy but i struggle
i love this style of video
I’m totally gonna watch the full vid
Lisan al gaib
As written 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Thanks for the video, but one thing you don’t usually need to no cb heretic princes you don’t border. It’s a bit tedious but you can usually use alliance chains to get them by clicking co-belligerent on allies of allies.
I spent the excess Imperial Authority on placating the Italians before passing my first reform, made the shadow kingdom a piece of cake
Couldn't decide what movie to watch. Good thing there's a 2 hour Red Hawk vid instead.
How do you handle the Unholy Empire event that happens once you get religious peace? Do we straight up fight the papal states?
The franco ottoman alliance hit me in 1469. alt f 4 rip. I didn't know that was a possibility. Had burgundy hungary and bohemia but france with the appanges managed to hold me and spain off long enough for the event to fire and the ottos to join the war. Thought to share since I don't think that event was mentioned at all this vid. But it did really help me a lot, so thank you again for making these.
I did manage to break the alliance by attacking one of france's european allies and forcing the break in the peace deal. But I think the poland pu is still broken. didn't get the Cb when i clicked it even with the check mark.
Hey Red, long time fan. Doing my first WC using your guide. Few little hiccups including Spain in Southern Italy and France (for dev requirements), Anglican UK, A late Poland PU and a delayed inherit Burgundy by 1550 BUT no reformation. A question about the conquering afterwards - do you conquer and own directly or do you play the vassal feed game? I'm worried about growing too slowly. Also have Hapsburgs in line for Britain and Russia.
Feeding HRE vassals provinces later in the game will become harder as you expand outwards. You will notice their coring distance won't be anywhere close to yours and often will refuse lands in areas they have no interest in, so they will be limited in what you can give them. At some point you will need to bite the bullet and feed the majority of conquered provinces to yourself.
That said there are some notables who will be more willing to gain provinces even some distance away; Genoa, Venice and Ragusa. Being trade republics they don't mind province hopping or the distance if it means increased trade. I've given lands in South Africa to Genoa one game, but couldn't get them any in India no matter how hard I tried.
I'm pretty sure those centers of reformation have a much easier way to be dealt with - instead of waiting for religious zeal to go away, for Frankfurt and Cologne you could simply have enforced religion on them through vassal interactions after revoking. Since they're OPMs, enforcing religion should automatically convert them and their capital to Catholic and remove the center of reformation. Switzerland however had to be dealt with in the way to showed, as they weren't an OPM. Let me know if I'm wrong about that, but I think this would work.
At 1:00:00, wouldn’t the best way to reduce the Pope in size be to release Provence yourself and ask for those provinces back? Or you can’t release it from Alsace because it’s not their primary culture?
Hi red hawk thanks for your new guide. I’m a 200h new player and tried Austria in 1.36 in which I got 9 reforms in 1515 and eventually got all the corresponding achievements(including conquer the world). When I saw the log before I thought it won’t be powerful cuz for example PU Poland will be more difficult. But it seems like it’s still strong. I was wondering what the other reform path(split rights path)feels like and I’m going to try in this new dlc.
One thing I would suggest doing is to rival Bohemia at the start of the game. Since you are going to PU them so early you can snag a lot of power projection and give yourself a boost to monarch point generation very early on.
But isn't their an opinion hit for "former rival" when you subjugate a rival? May make it harder to get a positive opinion and risk losing the PU on monarch death
@@maddizzle1744it usually works out fine, the power projection is well worth it. I rivalled Bohemia in my WC
@@nimbusttp_archive So I was mistaken, I went and checked after posting my comment. For some reason, I thought there was a like -100 opinion for former rivals, but it's just a liberty desire hit which is way more manageable
@@maddizzle1744 true it’s pretty easy to get them loyal after you annihilate their military capabilities during the PU war
The 325 dev is Poland and half of subjects dev in the Gp list
More 2 hours episodes please xD
Couple of things. As some other said, if opm converts just declare on their allies you can force non cobeligerent as long as the province isn't stupidly high dev. Second and more important, from what I noticed only first center will have the zeal, other two won't. So if the first one is in opm you are pretty much sorted. As Austria you can take any clay in HRE, convert the center and if you want return it. Also, you have u think 20 years to kill first 3 center before reformed becomes enabled.
If you are struggling to get Italians for shadow kingdom just allie the ones that are willing and declare on others. One big war with your allies and it's done. Castile also always helps in Italy especially if they have Naples.
Another small note is don't curry favours and put a Habsburgs early on a throne of Castile as they get event to get Isabella and I've never seen AI refuse that.
And last thing, seeing how you no longer need galicia from Poland for PU, cut through Poland and eat Lithuania. Get a border with muscovy, warn them and in second war releas as many Lithuanian releasables as you can. That way you have more countries to force into HRE and Lithuania doesn't get rebelius if Poland is too small. I would also take the black see coast from moldavia just to make sure otto doesn't go in raw. I'll deffo go for Austria first in the new patch.
Babe wake up, new red hawk austria guide
You no longer have to send the royal marriage to Burgundy. In the patch notes they explained that you will be eligible for the burgundian inheritance even if they sent the offer to you :) Only after the update drops though, of course.
2 hours??? Time to get some snacks and dive right in!
Can you continue the playthrough in a second video? Doesn't necessarily have to be in a guide format I am just curious to see how the rest of the game plays out. Great video!
Hell year 2h Movie from Red in a World Conquest what can i wish me more ? Right nothing
As far as I know they fix Royal Marriage thing for Burgundy in this patch. You are eligible if they sent you too
So early the vid is still 360p only!
The religious zeal modifier is only on the first religious center of each religion. The second and third religious centers do not get the modifier.
I suddenly started to have headaches at the reformation
I'll def get this DLC when it goes on sale, I spent all my money on Vic3 Grand Edition 😔
Wish you showed off more of the new stuff like gov't reforms and alt mission trees, but I get you're angling for a guide here. Thanks anyway
wonderful
I have easily +1000 hours in this game and it never occurred to me to try uniting Germany as Austria. Could you make a video where you go down the German focus tree?
Damn bro 2 hrs. Nice
question, can't you just declare on an ally of the centers of reformations if they are to far away ( as long as their provinces are less then 50% ws) and then separate peace them for force religion?
Just one thing to note, you have access to a super cheap level 3 admin advisor at the start, pick him instead
If the center of reformation spawn in your subject province, couldn't you just take the province and convert it, or even convert without takint it for you, as long as if doesn't have religious zeal?
Which mod you using for map. Your map looking good
PDX really made it harder to enjoy Austria by putting this version of them behind a paywall.
rating the intro save as a 3/5 for not running level 5 advisors or 6/6/6 ruler and border gore
When I request my relative as an heir the country I do it to always eventually replaces them.
Red u didnt need spy to lübeck u have the reli idea finished or im wrong ?
I can proudly say that I achieved the Shadow Kingdom event without any alliance or royal marriage. Just insults, guarantees and an excel sheet 😅
Why no CB Frankfurt rather that revoking priv and then enforcing religeon through the subject tab? It was an OPM right?
I just recently almost finished a one faith. ~ 1800, one single province left. In a colony. And a colonist is assigned there and I can't remove it.
So one faith failed? Or does anyone got an idea how to solve this issue?
The Polish PU mission seems to still be bugged. I played yesterday and it only gave me the CB when it it was under 300 instead of 400
Two world conquests, truly spoiling us
Would really really love it , for when content creators publish guides and they have a certain requirement, such as allying and royal marry Burgundy , please state it at the beginning of the video and not 7.5 minutes into the video so we wont have to restart the game and follow instructions all over again.
Other than that , very good video as always and love your content.
Two hours of Hawk, nice.
is there any video showing what graphical/ui mods u are using?
Great guide, and sorry i must have missed this but why are we constantly abdicating our rulers? Thanks in advance
To farm imperial authority ( 10 per election )
If you struggle with reining in Italy, put your diplomats on improving with the Italian nations a couple years before the shadow kingdom triggers. That way, they’ll all be very close +150 relations already and it should be really easy.
i just allied everyone i was not at war with while conquering venice mainland and dissolved alliances after the decision.
