My little girl got covid a couple weeks bk and my cat wouldn't leave her side. He was sick for a couple days and got better. I got covid recently. The day that I got a call about my test results he just layed in my lap and never left my side. He hasn't gotten sick yet but I'm just thankful he's ok and being his playful self.

I have talked with several vets and all of them said the same thing. That cats may carry many types of coronaviruses but this doesn't mean that they will end up having Covid even if they lick/breathe sth contaminated by Covid. It's highly impossible. Covid is mainly contracted by humans , transmitted to humans.
I also worried a lot since i have several cats which i don't allow to go out. Just take precautions, wash your hands before petting your cats.🐱🙏

I got covid and a week later one of my cats started sneezing. Thank god it wasn’t my senior cats, but the one that did get it from me was completely fine a few days later.

@@cameronpowell9861 all of my cats ended up getting it, and the oldest one had to go on an anti-sneezing medication and anti itch medication for his nose, he kept scratching it. All are perfectly recovered now though!

I as sick with Covid. My boss said I had to get tested. To get a PCR test I had to fib and say I wasn't sick before and had exposure. I got the PCR test 11 days later it came back positive. Then I felt like I had covid all over again. Now my cats are throwing up. I stayed away from them for the first sickness but thought I wouldn't be contagious or sick after my test. Weird stuff
I have a positive test and my cat is next to me he didn’t leave me coming and my side and sleep but now he looks tired 😪 I have to take him to the vet

My cought Covid and he was super hot for around 5 days not even moving around or eating much but after day 8 he started getting better and now the fever is gone but my cat is still not 100% but he's around 80% but he's going to LIVE 😀 and Thank You JESUS for not letting him die

@@adamsapple4350 she's completely fine now. I can never know if she actually got sick from covid or not but nevertheless the sneezing and coughing stopped after a few days. i'm taking her to the vet tomorrow for a routine checkup tho!

My cat a polydactyl was 14 years old, was exposed by a medical worker I know. It took three weeks and my cat passed away. Symptoms where respiratory issues, loss of appetite, Neurological issues, kidney failure.
Sorry for your loss, but thank you for the information. One of my cats has heartworms and FIV already and I worry that it might make it more difficult for him to fight off covid if he catches it.

I got Covid19 back on 15 March 2022, 7 days later I'm negative. My cat was suddenly getting weak and thin after that (I didn't notice). Until 3 days ago, my cat couldn't barely move, breath hardly, anorexia, I was panicked and brought him to vet, diagnosed with FIP and yesterday (07/04) he left me... I think it was not a coincidence.

Idk if my cat has covid or not but he is coughing and acts out of breath and immediately coughs if you pick him up and lays down. His breathing pattern is messed up. I took him to the vet yesterday and they say that he was ok but hes not acting ok or breathing ok. I dont have the money for a vet at all and it's late at night right now and im just scared that he wont make it through the night. Idk what to do. Everyone at my house is asleep and wouldnt take him to an emergency vet even if they were awake right now. I can just hope that hes ok till tomorrow and hope that someone will help me and get him to see a different vet tomorrow.

my cats passed away few days ago, and they got this respiratory problem too, like literally she breathing fast at the point i can obviously can see her lungs movement.. her body is alsho very shaky. we take her to the vet that night but the next morning she passed away, i wonder did the vet didn't put o2 on her, we don't ask the doc bcs the doctor changes everyday. do you think o2 can help her?

I returned from a trip (bt flight) a week ago and since then I've been feeling a very mild shortness of breathe, not been tested so I'm not sure if it's covid. My 4 months old kitten started panting two days ago and today the vet found fluid in his chest and thinks it maybe FIP (waiting for test results). How likely is it that he was infected by me?

My entire human household is covid +ve. We have 8 cat, 2 are 12 week old kittens. Both kittens and 2 adults are sneezing, raspy meow, watery eyes and no where near as playful as normal. 1 is a Siamese, which loves to talk and she will not meow right now, I believe it hurts her. We are infected with the new Delta variant and I am very scared for our cats.

@@minnabahlool2037 they are doing much better. it did affect the younger cats worse than the older. I have an 28 year old cat and she only sneezed a few times. It lasted about 2 weeks in the cats it affected. It also gave them obvious eye and nostril irritation.

Sorry about your cat, I don't know the answer. My Vet refused to see cat due to concerns of infection and how contagious it was.

Im so sorry to hear that, based on what I got from the video the effects of COVID on a cat are mild, meaning that your cat should be fine after a while, and also just stay hopeful. If you see something is out of the ordinary from let’s say vomiting/diarrhea (like if the color of both has changed and it looks horrible, then maybe call your vets and ask them abt it)

I just caught Covid and our cat loves spending time with me, especially in my room. I feel like total crap and have quarantined myself in my room. She knows that I’m sick and she stays outside my room door, sometimes meowing. She want’s to be with me, but I’m being very careful cause I don’t want her to get it.

I’m fairly positive my in/outdoor cat died from coronavirus. It hit him fast. Lost weight rapidly, had eye drainage and very fatigued. His body just leaked fluids. It happened so fast- I knew a vet wouldn’t be able to save him. I miss him dearly. One of my other cats is starting to have similar symptoms. She is very old. I’m high-risk because of immunosuppressive therapy for autoimmune. I’m even hesitant about getting vaccine with stray comments.

My cat died of pneumonia (Pyothorax) and left me with a fea infestation in the house, and now I have covid, but also feeling ill before the positive. We all receive vacation but the poor little fella did not deserve the pain of coughing and breathing problems.
