That's so touching. Poor Steve looks like he is about to cry. First of all I would like to say the brutality of this match shocked me tbh. Steven had full mouth of respect, fair play and superlatives for Slavia Prague before the match, but on the pitch it looked totally different. His orders kinda "Just break some bones, kick their heads and they are gonna lose this match anyway lads" did not help the match at all. Steven used to be one of my fav Lvpl players along with M. Owen. We looked up to them and both of them were an embodiment of a true gentlemanship, but last 24 hours showed he used to be a great player but as a human he is a cry-baby that is not willing to accept a loss against "Eastern Polish Rubbish" Slavia as Englishmen usually say about all Eastern countries and Kudela's "racial" verbal attack provided him more than welcomed opportunity to distract the general attention from this crushing defeat against Slavia to a even more and more used race card. I wish you could see fomer Gerrard's team-mate Vladimir Smicer after the press conference. He had nearly tears in his eyes and could not believe what Gerrard said. He was hugely disappointed with Gerrard's race card speach after the match. Gerrard did not even mention the horrible Roofe's crime, beating the "racist" Kudela inside of stadium or Morelos racist chants against Olayinka. I still can't believe Rangers coach said he is proud of all of his guys. What about racist chants of Morelos against Peter Olayinka? Peter said in an interview after the match he was shocked the referee did not care at all. What about Roofe's UFC kick against Slavia's keeper Kolář? Don't try to tell me he did not know what he was doing at all. He exactly know what he was gonna do. Is this man serious? Ondrej Kolar suffered a skull fracture and you say it was OK? If this crime commited some of Slavia players against McGregor it would be a huge shitstorm against all Slavs at least.
On the other side I realise Kudela made an incomprehensible mistake and I definitely do not wonder lot of Britons think he is a racist when he runs 50 meters to whisper something with his mouth hidden in hands in Kamara's ear. Now it is a statement against statement and It is pretty obvious who is gonna win. Kamara's faint-hearted attack from behind inside of stadion is only one of many reason for banning Rangers from all competitions for next season at least. I used to held mostly Gerrard, Celtic and Rangers particularly too in high regards but after this match I can not anymore. British Gentlemen are gentlemen only if they defeat you but not if you win the match. Have a nice day and think about my words.

Just wondering why you're calling a using a racist slur a "mistake". He didn't forget his anniversary or something. He used a slur against an opponent. That is completely unacceptable. It is not just a mistake. It has no place in football.

@@jona1674 If Kudela said a slur against Kamara then punish him, but the problem is nobody knows what he really told to Kamara. Only Kudela and Kamara. It was really suspicious Kudela covered his mouth but he talks to his fellows always like that. I agree with that your statement considering racims. I really CAN imagine how frustrating it is for a black or Asian guy when somebody puts you down and treats you like a worthless subject of his hatred, but using this racial card everytime a team is losing a match it could become a very dangerous precedent for next matches. I agree with the sentence If Kudela had nothing to hide he would openly scream like a true man at Kamara. Sometimes I ve got the feeling British people try to hide their racism or xenophobia against Eastern people with their BLM support, but it is only my opionion that may not be true.

Oh Really? The Rangers team severely and intentionally injured Slavia’s goalkeeper as well as several other players during the match, deserving much more red cards and a possible DQ. I've been a fan of football since I was a kid and never have I seen such barbaric behavior both on and off the pitch. After the match, Rangers committed battery against Kudela on his way to the dressing room in front of the eyes of Gerrard, who now tries to play the proverbial “racists" card, which can be translated as "we did not match with them athletically, so we have to find something else ". I can't stop marvel at the fact that everyone automatically believes the Rangers player on this issue. This is unheard of in the history of football. All Rangers players involved in the aftermath of violence should be prosecuted (including the guy who knocked the goalkeeper out) and the team should be permanently disqualified from the championship and undergo a further legal investigation. In my view, Gerard is guilty of inciting violence should be also held accountable for his actions. I hope the legal process will take place ASAP and justice will be served. You don’t get to say someone is racist when your team (including you) lacks a basic moral code, coach. The better team won and the worse team lost much more than just this match, last night Rangers lost respect among many fans.

They could not cope with defeat. We won't know if Kudela had racist speeches. But we know that in front of Steven Gerrard and UEFA members, Kúdela was attacked with fists. That is inadmissible. Yesterday's match was interesting for me, because I have been a fan of Sparta and Celitc since I was young. Nevertheless, I cheered on the main enemy (Slavia) and I must admit that they won thanks to a great team performance. And I'm very proud that I've always worn a Celtic jersey for street football. Because they left the field twice this season defeated by Sparta, but their game and sense of fair play were on a completely different level than the Rangers. The Rangers offended football yesterday. I'm very disappointed that the big idol Stevie was just watching.

Good luck the Slavia Parha! I hope they take it all the way, honestly they played us off the pitch and we made some serious mistakes and had terrible decision making (the tackle). A tackle like that isnt okay and I hope the keeper is fit and ready for the matches with Arsenal because he was brilliant over the two legs. I dont think Glen meant to go in with his boot and was watching the ball but its still a dangerous challenge and should be dealt with disciplinary from the club and UEFA. The comment made by the Slavia player is an issue, alleged racist or otherwise, it was enough to illicit a reaction from our players and that also needs to be dealt with. I trust that something awful was said to Glen and the defending by the team is right, not the beating thats uncalled for, but UEFA and Slavia have to answer for that, there is no room for racism in this game and on this stage. Overall, rangers were disappointing tonight but proud of my team to make it this far and to lose to Slavia is no knock, they are a great team with talent and they work hard. I wish them all the best in the next round and would love for them to win the whole thing.

Yet, my personal opinion is that Kudela did make a racist remark and he should be punished in an exemplary way. But then you cannot punish anybody without having a proof and a word against word is just not good enough for serious accusations of this nature.

But the transferred Rangers game, it was a disappointment, a club with such a history and tradition, I wouldn't expect this, insidiousness, trying to hurt opponents when he already knows they won't win ... I'm curious about UEFA investigation, the worst and most cowardly is now the effort to create an artificial dispute over racism, even if anything is said, it should be dealt with in court and not beat players in the bowels of the stadium, as appropriate nowadays, but no wonder country where You will be called by the police because of what someone said at home !!! It was clearly visible, that Rangers squad as well as the coach did not manage the emotions they do not know much this season, that is a clear and well-deserved defeat. It is obvious that they are trying to draw attention to unsubstantiated claims with intention to divert attention from the fact that they played badly, dishonestly and far beyond the rules.
I believe that UEFA will objectively investigate the whole matter, and in the event that, beyond any doubt, it finds any wrongdoing on the part of Ondřej Kúdela (as well as any offense from the Rangers players), an appropriate punishment will come.

Actions speak louder then words. The only real assault was the intentional high kick into Slavia´s goalkeepers face. Disgusting!

To lose a match with the better football boys from the "East" (Czech Rep. is located in the middle of Europe), not to apologize for the insidious, life-threatening game and to present yourself as a victim is beyond the edge of disrespect, scarcity and cowardice. Mr. Gerrard did not ask at all about the goalkeeper's state of health. At the press conference he spoke only about racism. We live in a time, when the alleged racist insult owershadows a brutal kick on the head, that could end the goalkeepers life.
