He's fallen into the trap of continually playing "the usual shitbags" though mate, granted injuries haven't helped his ability to even pick the players he wants from the squad he inherited but relying on guys like Goldson, Lundstram, Tav and Barisic continuously is what's gotten the previous 2 managers the sack and prevented Gerrard from winning more than 1 trophy especially in the season where a treble should've been nailed on.... say it every season but drastic changes are needed in this squad as there's currently only a handful worth keeping

His directive for first 6 months was to try save face and asses whose controlling the dressing room. Rangers are not going to sack this man. He's part of a plan. The manager should be judged next year with his own players in. He already started 9 points behind after that imposter of a last manager.
I have faith Phil, with his players, will be a success. I would literally punt everyone bar Butland, McCrorie, Sterling, Diomande, Ridvan, Danilo and McCausland. Sima i'd like to see bought or loaned back again. That's how big a rebuild we need.

Forgot about Cortes tbh, but is he another injury prone player? Balogun a fine defender but ageing. Cantwell is a huffy git with only 9 goal contributions this season. Ridvan has balls, energy and can defend better than Borna. McCausland is a young guy in his debut season who clearly has more learning to do. I said a few months ago he needs to add to the goals or he isn't a starter.

@@redcroftbearbear185 definitely not a true stat, we've played them 13 times since Gerrard left and have won 2 if you count the ET victory in the Scottish Cup under Gio... for comparison though 1 win in normal time in 13 games against them (and that was a meaningless game after they'd already won the league), Gerrard won 8/13 and only lost 4 that's including a victory at Celtic Park during under a Rodgers team and win over an Ange team... Clement needs to win this Cup final against them, not only to get a double and stop them doing a double but just to get that 1st OF victory off his back, he loses this then has to go to Celtic Park again for the 1st OF next season and gets beat he's under serious pressure.

I don't like how he thinks we weren't that far off it on Saturday. There was a huge difference between both teams early on and we didn't look like a championship team, or a team fighting for a league title. There needs to be an almost total clean out.

Hoping he learns from the 3 Celtic performances. I think hes done the best he can from a squad that is aging, injury prone and belongs to 3 previous managers still. Current squad just don't have the mentality or ability required, this is the worst Celtic have been since we've been back in the league (bar the 2020/21 season) and we're still gonna finish at least 6 points, probably more, behind them... let it sink in that if we beat Motherwell, Ross County and Dundee we'd still be 2 points ahead of them having taken 1 point from 12 in Old Firms, that's how bad they are this season and shows just how horrendous we've been in the past couple months

lets get one thing straight here, apart from a couple of games here n there, Celtic didnt beat us, they didnt turn up and blow us off the park, we gave them the games whether through mistakes , decision making etc. in the old firm, rangers defeated rangers, not celtic beating rangers. Weekend prime example, world beaters that needed an own goal and a sending off to win by 1 goal at home.............

He has hands tied behind his back. I think he is a good manager but has a crap team and set up with the age profile, sick notes and contract situation. There is zero value in the squad apart from Butland (who you can’t sell and replace easily). They need a serious serious overhaul in the summer and the money men to back it.
First thing is to identify and recruit a top quality captain. I’m sick of seeing Scott Brown and now M’Gregor gleefully dominating Rangers in Old firm games. We desperately need a hugely motivated and combative leader who is unequivocal in his desire for consistency and success. The Gerard era players need to be shown the door. If we continue with Tavernier then nothing else matters, we are resigned to more failure. A good servant with an incredible goals return. However he is a weak link defensively and a hugely uninspiring leader.

When a manager starts regularly making decisions that the entire fanbase disagree with in their lineups, the end is beginning. He isn’t tactically as good as the average fan, which is scary. Every Rangers podcast said Lunny & Lawrence would get battered and that we needed Sterling in there. They were all correct & Phil was wrong, again. It doesn’t look good.
He’s basically picking players who are fit enough to play for 70 minutes as the injury list grows. No wingers ( Silva and McCausland are not wingers) and only one striker you can rely on not to breakdown. Now we have 11 potential starters out so let the average fan pick a team out of who’s left 😂 Yes he’s made mistakes but who was the last guy we had to push them to the last 3 games of a season? Fitness and medical staff needs an overhaul as well as the first team then judge him on his team.

Getting a bit fed up with ppl who are fans of rangers who have short memories especially with old firm games like the manager said these last few games have been small margins in defeats to celtic thats all....i remember the years before we went down the leagues every single season had its wins and loses in the those games it was very rare for either team to win all 4 league matches in a season you also forget that the year we won 55 we best them all season so lets just keep the heid and support the team and the manager get in new blood in the summer and go again ❤

Took too long to understand the fact that Rangers are not only up against Celtic. In the form of the officials and the Scottish Press in Scotland we are effectively up against the Celtic Mafia.
