Guy deserves more credit than he gets nearly 25 goals in a season and with the abuse he's been taking that's no bad at all, keep going Cyriel son 💙WATP💙
At most if he does stay, he would be a guy for rotation. We will need to really be alot better as a team next season. He has done fairly well with 15 league goals and he did score against them which he deserves credit for. His attitude is good, he gets very little quality supply and support play from the wings. The guy is the least of our problems. A Rangers striker should really be hitting 20 plus league goals ideally, but we have over relied on one striker pretty much all season. Which is unfair to the guy as well. Having seen great Rangers strikers as I am sure you have, he isn't at that level. Some of those misses, and I know all strikers miss, but alot of the misses are just rank rotten. The guy being balanced and fair is a mixed bag and rough around the edges of his play. Had he been early 20s, I would say, lets let him develop, back him as first choice for next season. He isn't though. The criticism comes from the manner of his misses, and it isn't undeserved from fans and ex players. Though we have to recognise the effort. He tries and his given his all for the cause. I see him as a slight upgrade on Itten, that sort of level. For that reason, we need to also add more of a penalty box predator amongst our strikers. If we want titles, we need more league goals than he is capable. Easier said than done, but that's where Shankland comes in for the league, along with Danilo. We need strong competition and options in the forward areas. If he is going to be unhappy with rotation upfront and not being the main man every week, or a sub role then we will likely need to sell him. The thing that ruined our season is our defenders, Silva not working out well overall, Cortes injury and Lundstram. Butland was truly immense and that lad single handidly bailed out his defence so many times it is unreal. Other than when Sterling came into CB, or when Ridvan was available, there is not one defender all season who has been good enough, and in the summer they need to go.
Correct well said guys scores more than 20 and still gets stick what more can he give folk still won't be happy personally I think his movement hold up play and bringing others into the game is great plus scores goals give guy credit he deserves 👏 well done dessers.

If John Lundstrom had more bottle he would have taken the questions followed closely by Tav as he is our captain.

It's difficult to know if Cyriel has more levels to find, or if he's reached his level. I am hoping it's the former, because we really need better if it's the latter.

I still can’t believe people are calling for shankland as a replacement for Dessers…. He’s scored 4 more than him and takes the penalties, if Dessers took our pens he’d be in the mid 30,s for goals scored🤔🇬🇧

Dessers is surprisingly one of the seasons success stories after being kind a shaky start,he’s always fit as well,one of three only to have done their best Saturday along with Sterling Butland

League goals 15. He is a good guy, trying his heart out but at his age, he won't get any better. He is an upgrade on Ittens level but not massively. He would be a good member of any team, and he can provide goals throughout a season at this level, but we also need in the mix a penalty box striker, capable of 20 plus league goals if we want titles. Combined with a new defence that can actually strongly defend first. The defence is our biggest problem, followed by Lundstram and then Silva, in terms of personnel and beyond that a bigher problem is signing guys with poor injury histories since Gerrards day with us. I respect that Dessers has the guts to sit here and answer questions. He has deserved praise and it has been given, but some of the misses are truly very bad and the criticism was warranted. Though he doesn't not deserve the thick of it. That should be for Captain serial loser, who can't defend well, he inspires no one for the battle ahead like a proper Rangers captain and costs us when he doesn't in key moments of our season, regardless of pens and free kicks stats. Goldsin has been atrocious form wise and in key moments costs us woth poor defending, same with Souttar who is never a Rangers level CB. Then there is Borna who can't track back quickly, just like Tav can't, leaving us exposed, by the likes of Maeda and Kyogo. Ridvan is a great wee player for the few games he manages, followed by Balogun who I love but he keeps breaking down as well. This must change for next season. If not expect another manager merry go round mid season and another Celtic title.
Whether we were going to be winning it or not I don't know, but we definitely had a fair chance until Lundstram screwed us. Mistakes happen but Lundstram has enough experience to wise up and not do that. This is a guy who lived off a pruprle patch, and only turned it on for a wee bit after Christmas for chasing a deal. He has a deal elsewhere. Them the last 5 or 6 games we have seen the old Lundstram that is nowhere near good enough. Couple that, with that performance at Helms Deep and for me I do not want to see him in that jersey as a player ever again.
Give him a 10 year deal please. Celtic fans want it 🎊🕺🏻

Cyriel needs some support up front and in the grand scheme of things did a good job. I've said it before but where's Tav. As a captain you should be the guy taking these question but I don't think you could have answered them as well as Dessers has. "Bitterly Disappointed". He better have a good reason for no show with his pal Goldson who probably told the dressing room what they did wrong after the game. We could save ourselves 80 grand a week by moving them on.
He's taken a lot of criticism but I like the big chap. I may be a Celtic fan but can admire the way he plays with a smile on his face. Has flaws but he's a decent player.

Celtic have reliable goal scorers and can control the midfield and take chances in our 18. We don't have any of that. We have a great goalkeeper that' ket us in the race for as long as he could.

This, is what they usually, do. Sent out the guy who scored a goal, to face the press pack! Why not show bravery and send out the man who COST US, to face the music. But NO, you'll NEVER do that! Because your failed charges, are cosseted and 'protected' from the reality, that 'they' are sub-par.
I will say starting Barasic was a brave call. A well worked training ground goal that identified a Celtic weak spot . Ridvan doesn't have that cross in his locker. Other selections cost us the match Lawrence ahead of Cantwell, Lundstram ahead of Raskin and Tav at right back instead of Sterling imo.
I think Cyriel feels that there’s not much between them & Celtic, but I also get the feeling he’s not confident in some of his teammates actually delivering, just not convinced.
In season 2002/ 2003, we only beat them once, two draws and a defeat.

“Would winning two trophies be a successful season…” It appears people have lost their mind. If we won 2 cups had got close in the league plus last 16 in Europe then as much as we might be disappointed we need a reality check if that’s not successful.

I feel Dessers got a bad start under Michael Beale, scoring 1 in 8. Under clement he’s scored 20 in 29. Maybe if we had started with this gaffer his start would have been better and he’d have a much better reputation. Well done Cyriel

The only thing Cyriel said that I disagreed with was on Lundstram. I know they have personal relationships, and they don't want to speak bad of each other. I can respect that that isn't going to be good for the team. However, as a fan, I will say, Lundstram screwed us there on the day. I do not want to see him for us ever again. If Clement picks him, then I will not back him further.
