#vw gti #volkswagen lupo #xxr wheels - Auta a dopravní prostředky
I like how it looks from the side, but it's not the prettiest throat rims for the Lupo in my opinion. Thanks for your videos, i have the same car in the same color.
love the wheels mate they look absolute fire!
Thanks a lot👍
Which shark fin do u have one your Lupo and how did u install it. Keep making good videos :))
Just type 'Lupo roof shark fin' into google or ebay and you'll find a VW universal aftermarket part. I must warn you though , its pretty crappy. I've put a booster on it but the most I can pick up on radio are the big channels like BBC or Classic FM , stuff like that. I dont use the radio anyway its purely for show. Cheers 👍
there's you going bigger...and me going smaller :D
I went for a set of VW Starlites 14"
As long as they are wide , it should be good. I know somebody who put 14x8.5 inch on a 6N2 polo.
So Paul, a direct 6n2 Polo GTI for my 6n2 GTI too? Agree also with my model why oh why VW not 7.5j wheel with correct offset our 6j's pain in the backside.
Oh yes I use Toyo's TR1's very good road or track tyre's.
The silver 6n2 gti was my one and yes , that needed some wider wheels too. The toyo is good and they seem to last forever
@@samartzis2000 considering all the options and designs they had of the era really could never get head round why not a 7 or 7.5j used and the offset as so.
My 6n2 GTI when I first got had some deep dish alloys of 7j with incorrect 35 offset and 5mm spacers all round it was horrific and was trying to chew inside of arch metal on full lock. I do like the original 6n2 GTI wheel pattern design (factory wheels back on) just wish they had pushed offset and j. 205 would be a considerable easier choice now in 45 ratio but just too wide for 6j wheels.
Have you tried the original tires for the car? 205/45 R15. I am thinking of putting them in my lupo, I would like to know your opinion
It is possible that the speed will decrease and the gas consumption increases but the car would look more beautiful I think. But I think the only option is Toyo.
Yes, 205/45/ should work and looks better. It depends if your car has been lowered, just be careful there. Also I like toyo too.
Also don't worry about gas consumption, don't you think they are already very good 👍
@@samartzis2000 I have it totally stock, consumption is not crazy but it is not a lighter, the biggest problem is the small size of the tank (34l) I think.
I can't do 250 miles on a tank, or maybe a problem with my engine ..
Remir could be your camshaft sensor thats making fuel consumption worse
Not overly keen on the wheels, I think originals powder coated would of looked better.
The originals are better quality, that's for sure. I think it'll be originals in the winter and have these as summer wheels. I'm glad your honest about what you think of the wheels and that's all good , getting different opinions.
@@samartzis2000 yeah of course no hate just honest opinion I have a polo 9n3 currently being sprayed exactly the same colour on 16’’ TT Comp alloys. Was thinking about a Lupo as a next project and stumbled across your channel.
@@andreyoung4846 well thanks for your support, I love the 9n3 and 6n2. I'd like to see it after you've sprayed it.
What were the rota wheels you took off it they rota grids or slip streams and were they 15s or 16s
Grid 15", cheers.
Cheers mate whats the wheel fitment on them?
@@jamiewilliams1287 hi Jamie, check 9:00 mins on the video , all the details are there ,as I show the inside label of the Rotas. Nice wheels and I regret selling them
Yea ive been looking to get rotas for a while their expensive tho i got original bathurst alloys on atm i refurbed them in gloss black but they always get stinking
@@jamiewilliams1287 I sold my Rotas for about £350 if I remember right, they are quality
