"Fulgrim presented Perturabo with an offer he could not refuse..."
*ad plays*
"The new Chicken Tasty from McDonalds!" 😂
Irish spring! Fresh, cool, Irish scent
That would make buy three Chicken sandwiches... FOR THE EMPEROR!!!!
Son of Angron dont eat it perturabo! its full of warp poison... and that's just a normal McDonalds sandwich
And now the real reason is out. Ugh, you just had to find the answer the Chaos Masters used to corrupt many people. 😁😁
I got an ad for wish
It's easy to blame the Primarchs for falling to Chaos, but most of them where just victims of circumstance. Except Lorgar... that guy knew exactly what he was doing.
he is a Bigger NERD Than Magnus
Angron even turned into a daemon by accident.
It was actually Erebus.
Even Lorgar was manipulated by Erebus
It makes me sympathise with most of them and feel pretty bad about what happened to them
*Magnus appears in the throneroom, emerging wreathed in flame - dealing cataclysmic damage to the Emperor's arcane technologies and ultimate plans
"Whoops" - Magnus
I’d actually like to see a redemption arc for magnus that would be very interesting lol
Isn't that literally impossible?
It’s fine honestly, all that Magnus has to do to get all his followers souls back is beat Tzeench in a game of yugioh anyway. Don’t see why everyone makes such a big fuss 😂👌🏻
A game of paradox billiards 4 dimensional strip poker
Magnus to me will always be one of the greatest tragedy in 40K, to me IMO. At least we have some form of him still loyal in Janus. And the Blood Ravens if the theory is to be believed.
Dragon tamers It really is tragic when you realize he was so divided and torn in so many directions his soul and mind literally had to rip into different pieces because of how conflicting it was becoming.
Tragedy it may be; didn't he also make a deal with Tzeentch to "save his sons" before he Fucked the web way gate up?
NspPrick Less of a deal and more of Tzeentch saving his sons for him. Tzeentch didn’t ask for anything in return and didn’t get anything, the whole point of it was to make Magus overconfident in his control over his Warp and make him think the Emperor was just being over cautious.
Sorry, but it wasn’t the Kinebrach Anathame that twisted Fulgrim’s mind, nor did he use it to kill Ferrus Manus- It was the Laer Blade that he took from a temple on a Xenos world.
The kinebrach is what poisoned Horus 😮 OMS slipped that up
Joshua Taranto Exactly. 🤭
Thats what you get when Fulgrim starts lugging around 3 blades like a league of legends ADC.
I re watched the video and he specifically says Fulgrim used a different sword to kill ferrus manus. He doesn't mention it by name but he never says he used the kinebrach anathame.
Maria Moreno You’re right- I just went back and listened as well, and I heard that part incorrectly. He did, however, say that the Anathame began the twisting of his mind to Chaos, and that mistake was probably the reason why I misheard the other part. But I’ve no problem admitting when I made a mistake- thanks for pointing that out. Have a great holiday season!
Tragic story Magnus...
F
Indeed! I was just thinking that he might be the most tragic character of them all, at least the primarchs... and well, yes, it is an extremely tragic universe, full of desperation and cruelty, but still... he only tried to do what's best in the end for all with what(knowledge, if, as it turns out, an intrinsically flawed knowledge, ark of the covenant style... knowledge like anything and everything else can corrupt given "right" conditions...) he had at his disposal
"If I am guilty of anything, it is the simple pursuit of knowledge"
As the Blood Ravens motto: "Knowledge is power, guard it well."
question: who is the biggest a-hole in 40k and why is it lorgar
Or kor phaeron 🤔
No it is horus as he destroy the lord emperor's work be logarithmic did introduce him in the ways of chaos
No emps is the biggest a-hole for not foreseeing all of this.
@@TK-qg5tf The lord emperor has not the gift of for seeing and he can trust his sons but what Horus did the emperor could never know about Horus's dark deeds as he destroyed all and ruined everything
@@TK-qg5tf Heresy!!! 😲
"Nothing is beyond my comprehension!"
- Magnus the Red
"Are you sure about that?"
- John Cena
If only the Emperor listened to Magnus...the thousand son’s primarch could’ve sat on the golden throne during the Horus Heresy, and prevented unneeded damage to two loyalist legions; the emperor of mankind easily quelling his traitorous creations...
That was the Emperors plan. Leman Russ was supposed to escort Magnus to Terra to by imprisoned on the Golden Throne but Horus manipulated the message sent to the Space Wolves.
@@shadowraven4221 Unless it's directly stated somewhere else I don't know about, the only place we know that from is from a vision Tzeentch gives Magnus....a less then reliable source
@@shadowraven4221
That's no real proof of that. If the emperor had finished his project the throne wouldn't be needed anymore
Magnus is the fallen hero. The most interesting story and the best warning of not to trust the emperor and his space dogs too much.
For Russ!
For the Allfather!
The lore in 40k is pretty amazing.
Man this was so good. Usually i fall asleep listening. Today i was all ears. I gotta rear the books my self.
Magnus did nothing wrong !!!
He's an asshole father tbh. And what he did to Lorgar wasn't better either. I mean Magnus only wanted to alert his father, although accidentally caused a huge mess, but instead of talking to him what he did wrong, the emperor just destroyed his home, fucked up.
Horus started this all
He failed to warn his people of the imperial fleet
The Emperor never ordered either Prospero burned or Magnus killed. He ordered Magnus to be brought to Tera to answer for what he had done, and to be completely honest the Emperor most likely wanted Magnus there to stabilize the web way gate or to mount a ridiculously powerful defense against the tide of Daemons pouring onto Tera. It was Horus who took the order, then told Russ that Magnus and Prospero needed to be obliterated for what they did.
The Emperor had issues with Magnus and his Psykers practicing and expanding the power as it attracts the eye of Chaos as those powers expand. It's dangerous, yet necessary. The Emperor really didn't have a choice in trying to stamp out such practices, but even he knew that he couldn't stop Magnus from doing it...
Heretic
Poor Magnus, i guess the road to chaos is paved with good intentions...
Magnus : im good
Chaos God's : The road to Chaos is paved with good intentions
Chaos: it's time to go
Magnus: was I a good boi?
Chaos: MOST EVIL DEEDS ARE DONE BY GOOD PEOPLE
@@mandrillmacmonkey6137 now the last statement is true to a degree.
Many people have good intentions but it can be used for evil.
I've been a Warhammer fan for the past 3 years, but just this passed weekend I bought my very first set of Ultramarines and i had so much fun!!! I really hope i could win your give away!
You forgot that Magnus had sacrificed his eye to Tzeentch to stop the flesh change amongst his sons and his sons had become too associated with the warp. He had broken the decree set out by his father and punishment was expected, even though he ultimately got his message across that Horus would betray the Emperor. He had sacrificed too much and was already aligned, though too naive to see it.
He didn't know that Tzeentch was a Chaos god, as the Primarchs (even Magnus) believed the existence of Gods to simply be naive beliefs of uncivilized cultures, because the Emperor had hidden it from them. When he realized the extent of Tzeentch's plans he tried to sacrifice him and his legion as described in the video.
My favourite Magnus moment is him finding the glass statue that then shatters and you know tzeentch is giggling to himself.
It's a shame that Emperor didn't contact Magnus via the warp to summon him personally, then maybe, just maybe Red Cyclops wouldn't fall to the chaos :(
he wouldnt have . KNowing that his father wanted to see him even after destroying warp gate
Emperor saw that using the warp in almost any capacity held intrinsic risks, that using it without some sort of artificial failsafes was the ultimate problem (and the concern perhaps of his ultimate agenda, the culmination of all his plans, the meaning to all his actions cruel and benevolent alike, seeing how he was essentially the one waging a war on warp itself, on par as it seems, enough to warrant concern and aligned retaliation from "the ruinous powers," essentially being the only one who could see the scope of this issue on this scale and who was therefore in position to do something about it...with the exception perhaps of some A.I.(which could perhaps explain their apparently innate or inevitable antagonism towards all organiscs as the root cause feeding the Chaos), or the Necrons, or maybe even Tyranids in their own way...(in dealing with the Chaos gods long term...specifics of said strategy though still debated))and preferred to utilise it upon necessity especially in troubling developments like the very issue of primarchs development in his absence by the apparent abduction via the warp storm that scattered then across the galaxy...or so is the common belief/lore goes I beleive...
"Strange is it not that so many I wish beside me, stand again me".
"While at my back are the flawed and damaged,....I am a master of broken monsters" - Horus Lupercal.
With all 6 that did make it to become Deamon Primarch's. I like to imagine what the other 3 would look like as one. Especially what Konrad Curze Would look or be like. Would he even have a material body. Or just pure, unrelenting shadow. Something to think about.
Also, as for which of these three I think look amazing, I do like Magnus. Thousands sons army for life.. however I have always thought Mortarion was the most bad ass looking of them all.
Yeah, I prefer Magnus for his powers and who he is, but I prefer Mortarion's appearance for sure. That said, I play Death Guard and made a custom Mortarion using a completely different model, only the wings are from the official Mortarion model.
@@shadowraven4221 Curze and most nightlords don't often accept chaos gifts and see them as corruption
@@JW-cr2lk yeah corruption is usually forced on them not openly accepted ...... In the books they own dark angels all the time .... by the way my favorite chaos space marine is talos rip
Magnus the Red didn't do anything wrong. He tried to let the Emperor of Mankind know of the threat. He did what he could. In the end, Magnus did what he believed is right.
Fulgrim (spelled wrong) fell to chaos once he took that damn sword. As for Anagron, well his was a sad yet painful life.
Hubris was Magnus downfall. He kinda knew about the gods of the warp, but called them beings, not gods. Ignoring every warning was what led him to do what he did. so yeah, he did alot of wrong things, he just couldnt see it
The moment he made contact with Tzeentch was the moment he lost.
@@AzraelSoulHunter yeah true.
@@CythezIS knowledge is dangerous in this time. Magnus knew it but did it anyway.
This giveaway for Magnus makes me think of a painting contest my local game store held, the winner was a Lord of Change with a terrific paint job
This was so interesting and informative. Very much looking forward to the next 3, particularly Mortarion.
I actually play imperial fists but dammit a primarch would be cool to own...
This video really got me pumped about an Angron model one day.
I have been thoroughly enjoying all your videos on the Wahammer universe, they are richly informative and entertaining. I missed out on the game system many years ago but recently got caught up in all things Warhammer related and i'm LOVIN it.
Question: Since the warp is based on belief and emotions. Is Santa in the warp? And which god or gods would he serve?
If Santa was real I would either say Slaanesh- because Santa gives pleasure to everyone, or Nurgle- because he appears a fat jolly man and gives gifts just like nurgle aha
Could also serve Tzeetch. That naughty nice list, and the knowledge the elves carry of crafting toys while surrounded by nothing but Ice and Darkness sounds pretty Tzeetch. Also, Rudolph's nose is clearly a sign of rampant reindeer mutation.
A better question is where are the warp beings constructed from good emotions?
Alkanphel I’ve always wondered that
santa is chaos undivided
For me, favourite traitor primarch is the First Heretic! Can not wait for him to make an appearance in 40k!!
“Meanwhile, across the galaxy”
:Old spice ad guy saying “now look at me”
You are really good at going over lore and explaining it. Much thanks for your solid content.
I love that your doing the primarchs that went to demon hood good video cant wait for part 2
Just finished reading the Fall of Prospero a few weeks ago, Magnus would have to be my favourite traitor primarch.
A mistake at the start of the Magnus part. Magnus first had his fate sealed when he sold his Legion to Tzeentch without knowing to cure them of the mutation aka Flesh Change.
Jack Herrer To be fair there was no actual repercussions for that and Tzeentch didn’t ask or get anything in return. Magus didn’t sell his soul or his legion in that deal.
The entire point of that deal was to feed Magus’ ego and pride so he would be more and more careless in the Warp, making Magus think he was more powerful than he really was and that his father was wrong in how cautious he was about magic.
@@nevermore7285 So Tzeench gained nothing in that deal, but a Primarch Daemon Prince.
Vitor Leite Set the stage to get a Daemon Primarch, true
Nevermore 728 Nevermore 728 lol never believe that Tzeentch will not agree with a deal without him benefiting from it, or fulfilling the deal honestly.
That Chaos God is a crafty, double-minded mofo and should never be trusted or dealt with lol
The most badass one? Hmmmm let me think... Mortarion!!!
Awesome video! I really cant wait for part 2.
Thanks for an amazing year of story telling, please have us again in 2019
Love videos like this. Warhammer 40k is a very rich setting.
I've never played the table top, I've been into the books and lore for 10+ years and Magnus is my favorite primarch!! Liked, commented, shared!
That model of Magnus the red is one of the best.
I can't wait to hear about Mortarion!
Angron seems to have gotten the short end of the stick he had no clue what was happening he was just feeling more powerful every time he killed he had no clue he was turning into a demon prince
i think this was the best video you guys made yet visuals wise, story wise was amazing too very well done
Love all your videos can't wait to see the next one.
Magnus is awesome the whole scheme around the burning of Prospero is so amazing I heard this part already, still everytime I hear the story new facts and did-you-knows pop up for me!
Never Baguette, Prospero burned.
My favorite out of the 3 mentioned in this video is Magnus. Gotta love that psychic might. Favorite demon primarch overall is Mortarion. Always have been a fan of his Death Guard legion. I am hoping to start a Thousand Sons army after I get a few more models to round out the DG force I’ve built up.
I'm just getting into Warhammer, I enjoy your videos they sum up everything very neatly.
Loved the video, can't wait to see part 2 with the others
Awesome video, great editing and artwork. Keep up the great work!
Magnus looks super awesome, but I imagine a demon primarch model of Angron shall look just as amazing with some form of daemonic dreadlocks formed out of his Butcher's Nails.
Magnus' design is honestly gorgeous. The new model is absolutely stylin and ive been thirsting for it since I first saw it
I’m making a thousand sons army. Magnus would be a great addition to my army. I watch almost all of your videos love learning the lore and the FOR THE GREATER WAAAAGH! Episodes. You guys are great hope I win.
How generous. I have enjoyed your videos for quite some time now. Merry Christmas.
Seeing Chaos ships reduced to slag is beautiful
Angron I liked after he became a daemon he was locked up and Karn went to talk to him just like he did when he first met his father.
Magnus was the best primarch.he olny wanted the best for his legion.magnus did nothing wrong
Oh yeah oh yeah
BUt he didn't had to be such a dick about The Warp. He knew shit about it, but since it's slightly better than knowing nothing, he had to rub this in everyone's faces.
@Michael Fox NEEEERD!
Magnus is so cool I have the 30k model and the detail is awesome great job on all the videos you produce, it’s very informative and detailed keep up the good work.
I'm just starting a T-Sons army so this would be a great addition. Love the vids guys!
An eye for an eye and Magnus is super blind
Can't wait to see part 2!
Magnuson is a beast. Cant wait for lorgar.
Suggestion: Can you do a video covering the battle cries of all known 18 legions?
It was destined and foretold of even when The Emperor was creating them. Unwilling were many, willing were few. For chaos!
I feel so bad for magnus tbh he will be always be my most favorite primarch of all
I haven't read any 40K book, but I really want to. The idea that the traitor primarchs are, for a moment, as sympathetic as Lucifer in Paradise Lost is compelling. The story makes me feel like the more unquestioning loyalist legions are really the bad guys for not giving others a chance to explain themselves, but I don't know. I need to read the books.
Magnus did what he thought was best for the empire, to be honest if it wasn't for Horus telling the wolves to kill him he would have never turned
I love the chaos vids guys keep on keeping on.
As always, another great video guys! Personally always been a fan of Angron for the Daemon Primarchs, visually. Will love to see GW bust out a model for him. Keep up the good work! Blood for the Blood God!
Love that Magnus model, but I cant wait to see what a daemon fulgrim model looks like
Magnus the red did nothing wrong blame Logar
Yeah we know the plot - Magnus didn't betrayed and on. He is just an innocent prey of... Give me a break - even Nurgle would say that he is full of shit 😅
"THAT WAS LORGAR GODS DAMNIT"
@@LANSl0t I do not wish to copulate with his book I only saw lorgar do so
I think Angron is the most badass after his apotheosis. His Predator dreds are fucking dope
Magnus' is an impressive model, not going to lie... but both Fulgrim and Angron have a lot of potential to end up being way cooler. Especially the former, if the sculpt for Morathi can be taken as a reference.
Question: have there ever been tales of individual imperial deserters? It always seems as though either nobody deserts or entire legions dessert
I love magnus tbh, would be great to add to my Chaos Army!
Man, from the descriptions of the power bandied about by the named characters it is a wonder the entire galaxy is not a pile of ash yet. I know I know, billions of stars and trillions of planets but still, damn.
Awesome giveaway! Magnus has a very melodramatic air, love it!
Great video guys, good storytelling as always! Hoping to add Magnus to my new daemon army!
Would have watched the whole video, but your narration, my gods, your narration.
Nice video, you guys are doing a great job
great video, really enjoy watching your videos
Tbh all of them I like they all have a heretical perfection to them 👌 ty guys for the good content as always I stay up to watch your vids
quite the interesting video. i'm gonna have to keep up and watch more.
Magnus is my absolutely favourite Character in the whole 40k Universe!
Greetings from Germany!
Angron is the most tragic of all the primarchs, he just wanted to die whit his gladiator army. Then the emperor "saved" him from the death he wanted and separeted him from the only Family he ever knew and forced him to fight in a war he never wanted.
Thanks guys, really cool video.
Got to go with perterabo because he looks like a steampunk GoW hybrid boss that would be incredible to fight in single combat
Alpharius Omegon and Curze are still my favorites.
Just bought my first army, daemons of tzeentch! For the changer, for the cyclopeon primarch!
now make 2000 points army of only pink horrors
Suggestion: Romantic relationships and music in 40k
Magnus is a absolute master of magic
Awesome video as always guys, all is dust!
Angron is my favorite demon primarch, though I would love to have Magnus just to build and paint him
It is fun to do. But i recommend that if you are painting him do the body and arm separate then put it together.
Keep up the good work, love your videos
Great job again guys!
Poor Magnus. He tried to warn Horus and Horus decided he was better off trusting the warp powers the Emperor said were dangerous because Magnus didn't heed the Emperor about it.
Fulgrim is Ace RImmer from Red Dwarf - what a guy.
I have been following you guys for the past 2 years great videos keep up the good work but I think you a good video suggestion would be a facts video on where to start on 40k for those that are new to it
