i like how this tutorial is for beginners but the gameplay in the background is mostly jet combat which is very much what a beginner would be facing
Hes talking about important things, the gameplay is just for something to watch, imagine listening to this while only seeing a black screen
jets play differently but most of the basic principles carry over, everything he discussed in the video is perfectly relevant in props.

I completely agree. I've even mapped the exact same buttons, pitch by the way, to my mouse. But I use AWSD keys constantly while in combat, in conjunction with my mouse buttons. Pitching up with a button makes your turn so much sharper than using your mouse. That should be said
just started playing war thunder yesterday. with tip 1 in application, im doing slightly better now, if 1 tip is already starting to change my game, then this video is gonna be a gold mine. thx for the tips m8
Thanks man, I needed this! I have been grinding most of the US tree after zoom climbing Brits. I always gravitate to attackers because I can't dogfight :/ hoping to improve.

Step 1 - Unlock the Spitfire Mk. 24
Step 2 - Follow some of the tips Silent provides (I believe he has made a Spitfire guide too)
Step 3 - Pray to the gods to be uptiered (You want to fight jets)
Step 4 - Enjoy your infinite holiday from the chaotic mess that is Air RB in anything other than the Spitfire Mk. 24

The basics of the tips for yall incase you cant be bothered watching it all
Tip 1: Climb to a good alt
Tip 2: Do not turnfight until you learn your enemy
Tip 3:Learn the state of your enemy and guess the enemies (The faster you close in on an enemy, the higher your energy is)
Tip 4: [PC Specific] Use your keyboard and modify the pitch keys (Up and down) to improve manueverability in combination with the mouse
Tip 5: Play with the team and support them
In props despite it not being recommended I'm on the deck depending on the map. If trees galore and/or mountains I'm always close enough to weave thru them if needed even in medium bombers. The moment a plane is on my six, I firewall the throttle and fly close enough to just miss the trees/mountains. Nobody I've saw so far can get low enough to chase me without crashing.
And on the rare occasion I fly my Starfighter, I'm always supersonic and also on the deck. Most cannot keep up with the thrust to weight advantage I have and missiles easily defeated if I'm paying attention. Plus I use the same tactic as with props but also flying under low bridges. They mostly crash or pull above it enabling me to get behind for a gun kill.
The reason I use those tactics is cause for wherever reason I always get put on teams that are like ducks in a row.

I have W/S as pitch dn/up A/D as yaw left/right, and Q/E as roll left/right, respectively. That's what I'm used to from flying planes in KSP. Shift and Ctrl are throttle, works great

4:08 successful hammerheads are the most satisfying thing I’ve ever done in this game. This game makes it feel like a hood movie.
Only thing I don't like about keyboard is the lack of variable control. Keys are on/off, whereas controller triggers/joysticks are variable. You can roll/pitch etc slowly or a lot.
I saw another vid and he said the same thing “make a key button for pitch up and down , but because im a console player (xbox) I don’t have many buttons and it hard to make a button for it , i need a help PLEASE

welp you made the wrong choice my friend. that thing is designed to be a ground pounder not a fighter.
it all boils down to the guns mainly but they make all the difference.
top tip is speed is your friend, dont turn too much and try to get a good burst into your target, and maybe you'll get a kill.
@@Silent_WT I use it as a base bomber and then as a energy fighter. Works 80% of the time.

Playing with joystick makes it much more simpler I think. Mine has a small thumb sized stick for the camera as well so it's really convenient. So far I'm only on the early stage American planes, which are not stable input wise, The tutorial planes fly better imo. But they get better up the tech tree.

If you don’t want to give up W and S for throttle, use the two side buttons on the mouse if you have them for pitch up and down.
I almost always staal out even with altitude advantege and then get killed in air realistic I don't have this problem in arcade is there anything i can do?
My keyboard is set to W and S are Nose up and down and shift and control are speed increase and decrease

They should be kept in SB except for a couple of them which are the Arado C-3 and R2Y2s, because they can actually be used as a fighter.

My biggest skill issue in air is my aim. I can only hit a plane if I'm right behind it and not more than 300 meters far
I basically changed to Air RB on 1.0 BR (because i wanted MORE RESEARCH POINTS.)

all it takes is one little thing that will make all the difference. someone explained targeting distance and lead my target more than the grey dot vs right on the dot.
Climbing is Good but being surrounded with a swarm of enemy plane aren't good anymore. I always get on shot by the enemy :(

I can't even play the game right, I'm kinda good, but the bullets from my guns angle inwards then bounce off and go outwards, making in impossible for me to hit a target
I just started air rb I’m in tier 4 using the p-47 I got in a little 2v1 situation last night and got my first kills in air rb I felt like a god when I made both planes over shoot on my third jink
That or I play the spitfire LF premium in tier five I am admittedly shit with it even in arcade which I’m usually top of the leaderboard in so yeah i don’t have much to say about this one it’s kinda meh I shoulda just bought the A2D
Jet bombers: Fly low, avoid as many enemies as possible.
Prop bombers: Fly high, avoid enemies once again.
Fighters: Climb, dive, repeat.
but climbing takes an entire battle with prop planes. and rip your wings and flaps off at speeds higher than 400km
how do i know when to shoot? i cant ever shoot anybody. i have gained a bit experience shooting first using arcade battles with those indicators but it usually takes me a lot of bullets to kill a person
Change your reticle color to red if it's not. In just about every fight you will need to lead them. If you don't know what that distances can be then you will need to practice in arcade.

Ps4 has such a disadvantage on this game edit: Now I kinda regret saying ps4 had a disadvantage ONLY because I thought you couldn’t move your camera without moving your plane shortly after all I did was hold down the down arrow and just used my right joystick to look around I felt so stupid

Combat flaps are usable at low speed, but some planes have some op sh*t flaps, like p-51C, 750 km to break combat flap
When i turn to horizontally, my plane roll too much in realistic battles, i use only keyboard-mouse, is there any way to fix this?
some planes have better roll rates than the others, its all about controlling yourself and the plane.
is the f 16 line worth it because all the cool planes are in f15 line

(For console) I use the LT to pull up and RT to pull down
To shoot I use RB
To drop bombs I use R
To shoot misilles I use LB
The rest is the original controls

the skill cap in WT is high so it is not your fault.
the difference between the vets and the new players is, the new players want jets fast and dont care about how they fly, they just want a kill or 2 per match instead of learning how to not die.
its easy, if you want to get good follow the old tips and tricks.
although this video is new compared to others I did it to help the channel a bit and to get the "NO BS" tips out there; yet what i have covered doesnt even scratch the surface.
