- Max Hitzig threw potentially the biggest backflip in FWT history, sending it so deep it can only be seen to be believed. His entire run was fluid and fast, linking a couple of airs at the top into the historic backflip to finish first.

I thought Marcus Goguen’s run was already complete madness, but then came Max Hitzig…
That backflip was absolute insanity! The pair of balls these guys have is crazy 😅
Honestly Goguens run was more difficult, he connected some really tight fast hits. Having said that Hitzig deserved this win for one of the biggest airs ever on the FWT.. OH YEAH AND HE FLIPPED IT!!! madness
@@seankent7282 you have to consider that he jumped down like half the mountain, first with the eouble and then the backfip
@@seankent7282 i dont know about that, its so hard to stop an air that big and doing it while doing a backy because you have to time the rotation so perfectly

That was the absolutely gigantic cliff Yu Sasaki blew everyone's minds with a few years ago, without the backflip. Adding a giant backflip is nuts.
Most free riders will tell you a straight air of that size is actually “harder”…a back flip gives you something “to do” while falling …a straight air is staring down the abyss and holding on
Pehota stomped it in competition before Yu, but Yu took it bigger and Max took it BIGGER
I love how happy all his pals are for him. Even that fella who was in first before his run still jumped up to give him a cuddle

And Sasaki landed it right by those three little trees that Hitzig just sailed over. Hitzig took it 3-5m further.
I don’t know how, but watching his big air made my tears running out of eyes.😅
These athletes are awesome! So much fun to watch!! Would like to see some behind the scenes footage/interviews with the drone pilots. These guys do an amazing job too.

In the air for 2.4 seconds. Freefalling, only under the influence of gravity, that would be a distance of 28 meters. Not knowing the speed vector of Max, still I think this is 20-25 meter backflip. Absolutely insane to stick that
yep-- my (informal) calculations put it at about 80 feet, which is just under 25 meters... unreal
