- How to use metal body filler such as metal to metal of all metal filler for filling pinholes, or over fresh welds while restoring a classic 1967 Pontiac Firebird 400.
Using a metal body filler is a bit more work than just standard body filler or bondo, but take your time and you might just like to use metal body filler when you need to.
I am working on my 1967 Pontiac Firebird, restoring it to a daily driver condition, I hope you subscribe and follow along on my journey.

Nice to see you doing some body work to the bird brother. It's not easy body work. is a different monster than metal work. Or mechanical work. It's a skill that requires a lot of time and practice to get it perfect. I can see if you. Keep it up. Everything will turn out great.
I am getting the hang of it.. I bet am going to be all into this stuff! Thanks Luis for all the tips and help!!
Good job Brian. Working with those fillers is a little intimidating, but your making it look doable. Great info on your products and techniques. 👍
Thanks Jim and Kelly... i kinda like this Metal 2 Metal stuf
Thats a real art...thank you for the video.
Good job, looking forward to seeing it in paint ,thanks for sharing, all the best to you and your loved ones
Hoping to have it painted by the end of April!!!!
Giving me some insight on what may lie ahead for me with the 69. Not looking forward to doing the full on body work. I prefer the mechanics over the looks to work on. Cool video brother!!
Just take one repair at a time, like Fitzi says " don't complicate thing's "😂 hope it all goes well for you, all the best to you and your loved ones
Have never done this much body work before.. its going to be a learning experience for sure lol
@@ArrowheadGarage I’m with you on that. Before I moved to Oklahoma, I worked at a shop that specialized in modernizing classic American muscle cars. But we specialized in just the mechanics of it. My 69 has been the first real “restoration” for lack of a better word that I’ve really done. I’m just not very patient when it comes to what it takes to do the body work.. but I’m working on it… lol
I would be using a 80grit for adhesion 220 is not a good bite for any filler but icing.
Yes I was eager to get started, my roll of 80 came in like 20 minutes after I recorded the intro lol
use a rag between your hand and fender it will give you a better feel for high and low spots
Thanks for tip, I will give that a try this week!!
Might have to try that metal 2 metal. Got a rust spot on my Jeep fender I need to fix.
I am starting to like this stuff!!!!
Metal to Metal is better than Bondo but it is nowhere near as good as lead. In my own experience I had less problems with Bondo.
Sorry to many commercials
I don't have any control over that stuff :(
@@ArrowheadGarage I know and understand, wish I could watch your videos
Is there any metallic fillers that can be polished to a shine?
