I don't think it's necessary.... f2.8 gives very sharp images. A speed booster might just make images come out softer than you will like as the lense already has a soft characteristic especially at f2.
@@PatrickS. So far it's been great using my first manual lense. I even got a manual 24mm Sigma f2.8 for wider shots. The Helios is a very clean lense. I use it stopped down to f2.8 for clean sharp images.
