- A POV street photography video using the sony a6000 50mm f1.8. The sony a6000 with the sony 50mm f1.8 is a budget friendly combo for street photography. I must note that it was my 3rd time using the sony 50mm 1.8 either way I think I got some fun photo's in this POV streetphotography video.
I'm curious to see if you have considered buying the sony 50mm F1.8 together with the Sony a6000?

For those wondering: The 50mm FE on a crop sensor(A6000) is 1,5x = 75mm.
Also I made a little mistake on most of the cards where it says 85mm instead of 50mm.
All photo's are edited in Adobe Lightroom.
Thanks for watching and Stay Safe
Oh ok, thanks for sharing
compare, 50mm and 85mm, which one better?
Nice video 😊 is there any difference in the aperture on a apsc Camera or is it still 1.8? (Or ,darker‘)
Which filters do You use in Lightroom? Do You have favourite filter maybe?
what was the preset of the photo editing filter please , thanks :)
Love that you insert the camera settings along with each shot..makes life so much easier
Really great shots mate! Absolutely loved every single one of them.
Sean Tucker would love that shot at 3:08. Nice shot. I have two a6000s and an a5000 with several primes. I also have a full-frame Sony (A7RII) and Canon (6D). The a6000 is still a great little camera. I will admit to loving the a5000 for its compact size and still being pretty capable. I just wish it had back button focus. One up for the a6000. One of my images, a close-cropped nature shot, that was selected for a curated photography exhibit (small city) was shot with the Sony 55-210mm kit lens on the a6000. If I didn't have the little a5000, the a6000 with the 35mm f1.8 would probably be my walk-around camera. Reasonable glass and learning to use your gear to manifest your vision goes beyond the latest and greatest gear. Thanks for showing that to people with great images that show using vision and design principles instead of just wild snapping.
Love the video, been thinking about buying this camera and this video really shows the potential it still holds, thank you
Well that potential is mostly due to the lens, the camera itself with the main kit lens won’t get you all that much
Dude I think you've convinced me to grab the a6000....I had a t3i years ago and sold it and almost just bought another one used but mirrorless has got to be the way to go....thinking of grabbing the sigma 30mm 1.4 to start out, really want to photograph cars and do rolling shots. Cheers for the video.
1.68K subs at the time and your videos have a really nice quality! Keep doing this man, you have the talent and the skills to become successful.
Sponsored by Carlsberg 🍺 haha sick shots brother! Fall colors in Copenhagen is just something else. That neon "G" sign with the yellow leaves in foreground was my fav shot! Hope to see new vid soon 💪
Thanks brother, yeah would be nice if Carlsberg came through with a life time supply ;)
❤️😍
11:20 even if you were there, i doubt you would see such a beauty. What a piece of art.
Hey Jensen thanks for the video, it's good to use as an inspiration as well as a reference, especially I just got today my Sony a6000 as my very first Camera.
Now I'm all hyped to learn how to make as good pictures as yours.
I’m excited to see this comment. Hopefully you have been doing well with your a6000? Any cool updated after a year?
Those are some nice shots, nice to see that somebody is still using the A6000. I feel like everyone just uses the newest fullframe cameras
Just bought my a6000 today. Upgrading from an old SL1 canon lol

Thank you mate :D
The last pic was really an amazing one 😀🙂
Got the A6000, and just saw another copenhagen area shots by a6000, but in winter ish vibe, compared to the summer ish vibe here. Loved it both! Wish we had some snow in dubai lol. Anyhow looking forward to getting the best out of this. Cheers S. Jensen!
Awesome pics and edition! Follow! Greetings from Chile.
Great shots! Thinking about picking up this camera for its portability compared to my D7100.
All of your photos are really cool
Hey man, I love the video and your content!
Could you or sb explain me why do you press the little round bottom when focussing I would like to know how it works... Thank you and keep going!
nice video, also love that rose tatoo on your left hand.
Thanks for this POV. Some great pictures. :-)
Love the shot with the horses and the elephants as a guard of honour. Had the A6000 for years but it has been sat in a cupboard for the last 5 years. Just decided to get it out and start shooting with it again. I have just ordered the 50mm f1.8 lens so I'm looking forward to getting out with it. Up to now I've only had the standard kit lens. Hope I've made a good choice.
Thinking about doing the same. Rocking my a6100 with standard lense. Really want to get the 1.8 but $200 seems a bit much. This video really makes me want to get it. Photography is an expensive hobby…
nice work brother! well done.
I actually have this camera, but i have never pick it up, i guess you convinced me to start my street photography journey! Woohoo
Great content sir. I like your compositions 👍.
I reallyyyyy enjoined watching thjs video, amazing!
Thanks Aria, really glad you enjoyed it!
Beautiful pictures ❤️
i'm so glad i discovered your channel!! your videos are really comforting to watch! im a beginner photographer and i would like to get a sony a6000 but mostly shoot portraits.. what lens would you recommend that is good but cheap bc my budget isnt that high :(
Hi Nicole, thanks for your kind words :) welcome! For portraits I actually really like the sony 50mm 1.8, I have also done quite a few with the 85mm 1.8 from sony aswell, because I love the crop on that one. But has given me situations where I couldn’t get enough space between the subject and me.
Very nice photos my friend!
Thanks for your deep dive in this nice camera! I am wondering, did you use the "multi 100 ISO" setting in fine? I heard three clicks at each photo.
Epic shots bro! What focus mode do you use? I have same setup, but my 1.8 seems to have way more shallow depth of field. Very little is in focus on mine.
This Video is awesome! Please more :)
Thank you this video is gold
this is art :o
The maximum lens sharpness at center is at f2.8 and at the edge is f8. May I suggest trying those two out, especially the f8 for cross the frame sharpness, and depth of field. At times it is good to have more in focus on street photography. And yes, I realize the current trends towards blur and bokeh. Will they hold over time and will all photos of this period then look the same? Some really nice looking shots, with a difficult lens. If I owned the Sony, I would not buy this lens. Perhaps looking to Sigma?
Yeah for whatever reason everyone online shots wide open all the time. I don’t get it
This is so helpful.thank you
I like what your doing keep it up man
Great video, I am buying it next week, even though it's 7 years old I can see it still works perfectly when it comes to street photography 😀
They’re too good!!!
Go for A6400
excellent sir
めっちゃカッコいいです!
Super!
Привет дружище, отличные фото) Очень понравилась обработка, не могли бы вы скинуть пресет Лайтрума? Или хотя бы рассказать что за настройки?
🔥🔥
Was getting bored with my sony a6000. Thx for making it awesome again.
amazing quality
thats sick
Nice🔝🙌
awesome video
Great Video! Loved the photos!!
I wanted to ask you about how you deal with photographing people(strangers) on the street? Do you have to ask each one for permission? Do you have any tips on how to get more comfortable with shooting outside?
Excelente !!!! Saludos desde Mar del Plata. Argentina
muchas gracias saludos desde dinamarca!!
Could ya imagine the click clack of hundreds of horses hooves back in the day on the streets? Waow. Good stuff.
Good job, brother
Amazing...thanks
I have used my a6000 almost a year know for car photography! And I'm highly thinking of buying a 50/85mm lens:)
Thank you so much for this video! I'm gonna get myself a A6000 for Christmas so it's awesome to see the process of someone using it like that! Would you recinnend this lens as an addition to the Kit lens for later on?
Awesome video! Quick question, would this lens fit the Sony a5000?
Amazing photos. What focus mode are you using for these shots? Wide?
This video is sick dude! Love those photos.
I was just on a business trip in Copenhagen, and took my trusty little Nex 5r with mE, and let me say, THIS CITY IS HEAVEN FOR PHOTOGRAPHY (and the beer is good too :D)!
Keep up the good work!
man i need to know from which company the lens is cuz i’ve seen 50mm 1.8 but the quality on this one is supreme
Your color edits are amazing
My Hood. Thanks for sharing :)
Great videos , How do you manage focus in this situtations? Can you please share some settings ?
Do you have any Lightroom or Photoshop presets we can use? :D
Wow. I am new, I follow with extreme happiness!!! Thanks bro!! 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
Thanks brother, that means alot :D
I really like the results of this photo, what application to edit photos? is it possible to edit on a cellphone?
Love the colors on the horse shots. what kind of preset it that? looks sick
Awesome pictures, what is the filter you use in lightroom?
Nice Video Mate :)
did you processed your photos with any software or are they just unprocessed?
Have a nice day :)
It's a great camera. Still wonder how the unedited images out of A6000 look like,,
nice shot's. but is this lens 75mm equivalent with the 1.5x crop?
Good foto💯👍😎
Nice !
Excellent video 10/10, I also have an a6000 and I want to buy that lens, and I have seen several videos that have left me doubts about whether to buy the lens or not, since it is full frame. Do you recommend that lens for my a6000? How has it worked for you?
That lens works on both the crop sensor and full frame sony. My go to lens
really really good shots! do you recommend the SONY FE 50mm f1.8 as the "best" "budget" lense for the a6000? I am not sure which one I should get...?
I can recommend the Sigma 56mm f1.4 lens
