I think along the same idea of hands on skills, medical positions that are not doctors, like radiology techs, nurses, dental hygienists will always have work. I remember asking a dental hygienist once how she got into the dental field she said it was because she liked to work with her hands. Ahhhh, I had not thought of it that way!
You should really be talking about the highly Skilled blue collar jobs / Multi skilled platforms than a pool cleaning dude. Some of these skills with the right government contract can make you Retire at a young age.
Pool guys actually have a lot to know when it comes to the chemistry side of things. Especially when thereâs pools thatâll turn green despite adding the recommended chemicals regularly (which there always is), you really have to delve deep into how the environment or weather and countless other factors will be effecting the pools. Thatâs not even taking into consideration how everything changes when working with salt pools instead of chlorine pools. Sure anyone can net a pool but I do think being a good pool cleaner takes a lot more than you might think. Btw I work as an electrician, no bias opinions being made
I was lucky not to be affected by the layoffs in Tech. I was completely surprised by a good friend of mine not surviving the layoffs.
It did indeed put that sense of 'Yeah my cushy tech job may not be as secure as I thought it was." Totally nailed it on the head.
Great video! Love your work.
I think you are right. I've been blue collar/ white collar since 95 and seen revolving door armies of assistants/ laborers made up of retirees, military people, college and high school students. Name them and I've worked them. In the past 10 years if an employee isn't over 35 I can guarantee that they'll spend more time on their phone, potty or cig breaks than working the tasks they were hired to do. My last vent is that the under 35 workforce takes no pride what they do, they have no loyalty, no common sense and constructive criticism triggers anxiety attacks
I find this was also true in the white collar environment that I recently retired from. Now in retirement, I am looking to learn a skill, such as masonry, to work part-time, yet it seems tricky navigating the educational process and finding an employer to provide training or internships.
skill blue collar jobs are not easy though, it takes a certain character to pull it off.
try to find a small leak in a refrigeration system, or fixing the pipe, or figuring out which relay is dead can be hard for the brain and body.
but if you find a liking and knack for it, then go for it.
Yeah I agree they aren't easy. I couldn't be a plumber! I was focused more on highlighting that these jobs should be around in the future and shouldn't be overlooked! But yes, they do take skill.
Great & Stunning video! đđđšâđŒđ€ thank you Cass for sharing this video I appreciate you" I actually liked the video alot....
The only problem I can see with trades is they donât pay that well starting off. Hopefully contractors can change that and get with the times
Your not looking at the right places bro
Not wrong, I got an offer 18-19 an hour, but I asked for 20 an hour. Wtf?
Hi Cassandra, I am new here. My Job is Pizza delivery, safe for AI layoff. Just Joke
