I relapsed after 14 years clean and it’s so hard because I just wanna get back to where I was. I think about the best times in recovery when I was the “most spiritual“ but I know the truth is that God has something better on the other side of it and there’s a reason why it happened because there’s unresolved stuff regardless of how great I felt. I definitely had sneaky feelings of pride and superiority that went unaddressed. there are just more layers. Trying to accept the hills-and-valleys nature of life and trying to stop shaming myself.
Love your vids ❤️ thank u kind soul

Hi. Super old video but due to my relapse, I arrived at this video but I’ve decided to write a comment here as someone who is looking to help, myself as well… it’s a long road that feels lonely, but you just gotta be able to reach out first, left or right, and someone will always be there.
When fighting addiction I learned that I must learn to talk to people like actually be willing to call someone if I’m ever in a scene where I’m 10 minutes away from losing this fight..and not judge or feel anything other then gratitude and be honorably willing to do the same for someone..
lol there just are great moments that seem to be lighting up like a Christmas tree and when that happens you smile, gaining a boost of confidence.
Everyone should remember, addict or not, that you are the only person who is gonna stand in the way and try to lose this fight with yourself.
You know your own moves better than anyone. Don’t allow yourself to get tricked.
We are not alone our struggles
Some don’t like to receive help from someone beating addiction. I believe those who can understand your situation are better at helping out.. my sobriety date began July 2022 and so…I am just beginning my journey..still learning and seeking answers.. strength be with you

Hi. Super old video but due to my relapse, I’ve arrived here. I’ve decided to write a comment here as someone who is looking to help, myself as well… my sobriety date began July 2022 and so I am just beginning my journey(to enlightenment!). I was doing what needed to be done. Not even a hiccup, not thinking about drugs and then one day last week variables lined up shaky and I didn’t realize it then. When I messed up and thank the creator of the universe, cause for some reason, again in a different light, variables lined up so in sync to save my life...thankfully this relapse has not taken everything and I have been able to acknowledge it, look it in the face and now I am working towards slapping it across the face and beating this relapse.
I welcome all advice. Even though some people don’t like to receive help from someone who as well if fighting addiction. I believe those who can understand your situation are better at helping out.. my sobriety date began July 2022 and so…I am just beginning my journey..

@@DocSnipesI enjoyed the video entirely. It has given me tools to work with and it won’t be the first time i watch it. I will be watching it again as a refresher in about a week or two. For some reason the “KISS:keep it simple stupid” part really stuck out because it allowed me to finally put into words how I feel about having so many things on my plate and mentality that I get overwhelmed but I need to “KISS” in order to get through and not become exhausted in trying to do so many things at once. Step by step.

@@calvinwright7944 Reduce negative thoughts and feel bettter. Your breath is directly related to your mind [brain] causing negative thoughts-anxiety. For a relaxed life sit on a chair, back erect, eyes closed, be still and observe the sensations of your incoming--outgoing breath at the entrance of the nostrils for around 5-10-15 minutes or more. Don’t fight with your thoughts. Slowly they will reduce and relax the mind. No deep inhalation-exhalation needed. Anytime of the day or night before sleep sit or lie down on your back and observe your breath. Be as still as possible as it reduces negative thoughts. Make this a lifetime daily habit to have a good life. Best wishes Shyaaam Sir. -Counsellor

I have a question... (If you wouldn't mind responding, or someone else if they know)... I have a curious lack of a "startle reflex" and it has been a challenge of many family and friends to try and scare me. I simply don't externally "jump" or "yip" and most times internally I am not startled, but sometimes I am. Can this be an effect of hypocortisolism (I know I butchered that word, I will correct the spelling). You've talked about it a lot in other videos and it just got me wondering...
I have a history (and present) in being high-anxiety, PTSD and trauma; one would think my reflexes would be more hyper, but 9/10 times I have no reaction at all initially.
Don't know if it matters, but I'm a sloth of a person. I'm extremely lethargic on a constant basis. (Thyroid removal per Grave's Disease).
